Mysore Races 13/11/13

Hello friends
The Mysore season which is scheduled to start from tomorrow has a fully filled card of 9 races, here is my bit of analysis for tomorrow's races and my personal choices, along with day's best and upset choices

Race no 1:A race for 2yo over 1100 mts

There are not a lot of factors one has the liberty to look into while choosing a horse in a baby race, with all the horses all set to make debut it makes it even more harder to find a winner.

I go by trackworks predominantly in these situations, and while having a look at them I must say Rising Romeo appeals the most. The fact that he has had a good spurt along with a class III animal makes me believe he is forward and should run a good race. However there are other horses which look like proving me wrong like Silver Oak and Ultimate princess, but I am pretty sure that the Romeo won't disappoint

My Choice:Rising Romeo for win/place

Race no 2:Class v race over 1400 mts

This is a race that seems interesting,it has the prescence of 6 3 yo horses in a field of 10.

All the six horses are not having enough form to go by,having said that the two tracks in the past week by Golden Steps shows that an improvement is possible keep an eye,Young Gallant has a very good chance here based on its track workouts

Of the other four older horses, the oldest of them all in Passage of Time has the weights in his favour and also good  relative form

But the horse that I believe that can make the race out of it is Golden Time, its last three spurts are suggestive of a very good show, and with a decent claimer atop should run a very bold race

My choice:Golden Time for Win

Race no 3:A class V race over 1400 mts

The 3 yo Beautiful fin has run amongst relatively better company and is a prime contender in this race but for the abscence of trackwork and the jockey on board

That makes me believe that the winner should emerge from again one of the older horses.

Prost is a horse that can deliver the goods here, this is a horse that has always been in the reckoning for quite sometime, his last run where it finished a good fourth to Brigade's Paradise is a run which is very suggestive and its last spurt is good too. Thus has an excellent chance of winning this race

My choice:Prost for Win

Race no 4:A class IV race over 1200 mts (4yo+)

This is a race that has Historica whose second on its last run was avoid effort and also gets the same jockey in Y.S.Srinath atop,Brigades Supreme that won its last race now takes a jump in class and seems to working well but the horse that really has a very good chance of making it here is Aerial Acrobat,is sitting very pretty at the scales and is seen to put in some good work.

My Choice:Aerial Acrobat for win/place

Race no 5:A race for class III horses over 1400 mts

On relative recent form there is one horse here which stands out and that is Gunpowder, yes this race has April showers whose last run was dismal and not seen in the tracks along with Savvy concept who can surprise and also Sivanta who cannot be totally ignored

But the very fact that Gunpowder's recent form is good I think that this horse has a good chance here

My choice:Gunpowder for win

Race no 6:A class IV race over 1600 mts

This race in my opinion is very much confined to the trio of Always love,Belletoile and Chandini

With the first two being winners in the lowest class and the last named a winner over the maiden only terms race

Always love enjoys a considerable weight advantage and Belletoile has an advantage of being ridden by a jockey of vast experience. But the sparingly raced Chandini despite its lay off from the track and also being ridden by a not so good jockey has the ability to shock the field here,it has got the better of Speartooth when it won and now with the extra 200 mts well within its reach is the horse to be beaten here

My choice:Chandini for Win

Race no 7:The feature event of the day over 1400 mts

Here we are, this race proves to be straight fight between the top weight Crrisp and Keturah

Keturah has got no negatives here, ran a decent race at the classic and was a good second to classic placed Jersey Shore in its previous start, has a good jockey aboard and also the weights are not backbreaking, thus is a clear winner here

My choice:Keturah For Win

Race no 8:A class IV race over 1200 mts

Again a race over a spring here, even though the form is with peppr Theworldismine and Perfect speed

There are two horses here which should not be overlooked and they are Haute Cole and Golden slipper, the formers last run is best ignored and has it in her to score here and theater has tumbled down a lot in scales and is sitting very very pretty here and is the one am rooting for in this race

My choice:Golden Slipper for win/place

Race no 9:A class III race over 1400 mts

Sand dune a winner in the same class last time out is in the fray which makes this an interesting race,as the 5.5 kg penalty can work against it,it isn't entirely impossible to win here

But as there is the prescence of two 3 yo who were just shy of winning in their previous starts respectively in Arctic Rose and Carisa,I believe the race is completely between these two horses.Carisa has the weights in its favour and has performed well against Bangalore horses,it is fair to assume that it has a very good chance to score a victory here

My choice:Carisa for win

Day's best:Keturah Day's best 2:Carisa

Double:Prost-Chandini
