Bangalore 1000 guineas day selections

Hello friends,
The classics have started to roll this winter and we are now at the eve of crowning a champion filly at Bangalore, the classic day card has 9 races and here is my analysis and my personal choices for the day.

RACE NO 1:A race for horses in class IV over 1400 mts (4yo+)

There are two last outing winners here in London Eye and Distinctive and yet both of them don't inspire me for a win

Thus I believe the race is well and truly between Vista Bella,King of Heroes,Ethophian and Blizzard of Oz.

Ethophian although is working extremely well on tracks is going out with a negative change of equipment! As far the theory of second lifetime run improvement, has a fair chance here although the equipment is a cause of concern

Vistabella is showing out on the tracks with a stablemate who is two class superior to her, on that note and going by the preparations seems to make a good impact on its first run of this season.

Blizzard of Oz and King of heroes have a run benifit amongst my contenders and that more often than not is an advantage, both have good saddle support and will be in the thick of things

My personal fancy here however is Vistabella,as it seems to be prepared well and also the distance will suit her running style

My Choice:#3 Vistabella for win

Race no 2:A race for 2 yo horses over 1200 mts

All the runners haven't had a run before and as such it is only guesswork that may help us to find a winner.

Baracchus,Nesto,Atmos and Smart connections seem like the four horses that can be considered here

Going by the bloodlines and the trackworks Nesto seems like the one that has the better chance here. Atmos will be the only threat

My choice:#4 Nesto for win

Race no 3:A class V race over 1400 mts

In a race of this nature it is highly risky to make an assumption that 3 yo horses have an edge over the rest. But as that assumption is working on a good basis let me restrict my contenders within the 3 yo horses

I feel Rakshita with a massive jockey aboard and a change in contender is the horse everyone has to beat.

But will it be easygoing for Rakshitha in this field? I don't think so especially when Recordmaker with its running style can make a good race out of it. Also Red Bud from the stables of Byramji can't be neglected altogether

There is an enigmatic horse, sitting on the top of the scales from the yard of Padmanaban who has a mockrace to its prep, flukers choice Little Maestro may be the trainer can pull out a rabbit out of his hat and pay a fitting tribute to the little maestro who had just retired. Jokes apart am skipping this race, for all academic reasons let me say Recordmaker can make a race out of it (shoes are negative but guess don't really matter in this class)

My choice:#3 Recordmaker for win

Race no 4:For class IV horses over 1200 mts

Taking age and positive equipment as factors, the winner should in most probability emerge from Silhoutte,Zizzi,Tradition and Super Silver

Silhoutte is the default contender here as in it now gets a positive switch in jockey and he is the one to be beaten

Tradition has a run benifit to its favour yet there is something amiss here.

Super silver did try start to finish tactics with a class V field and failed, with the drop down in distance and also with the weights that it will carry now has a fair chance in upsetting here

But my choice here is Zizzi, after running Bangalore summer season races, haven't showed up at Mysore. Tracking well with a class II animal in one of its last spurts and also gets a switch in jockey to P.S.Chouhan,has a very bright chance to shed its maiden status here

My choice:#6 Zizzi for win

Race no 5:Class III race over a mile (4yo+)

Chiron Seebright Magnomical Cocktail circuit and Grey connections are the five horses I have short listed as contenders in this race

See Bright is the horse everyone has to beat, has a run benifit and a switch to first jockey of the stable.

The horse that I think that can really make a race out of it is Cocktail Circuit, especially with some form to back and the low weight coupled with a change to stables first jockey and also impressive trackworks, stands a very good chance to win here

My choice:#12 Cocktail Circuit for win

Race no 6:Class II race over 1400 mts

Supreme Regime is the piping hot favourite here and rightly so,the change of shoes is the only negative point, has finished fourth to Southern emperor over a mile at Mysore.

The other youngster in Madame Bovary finished fourth in a classic and is no mean competitor, and as it has the weights and a more experienced jockey along with positive shoes my vote goes for it,although please keep in king Supreme regime is no pushover

My choice:#6 Madame Bovary for win

Race no 7:The Bangalore 1000 guinneas

Friends let me tell you frankly I see no opposition for Mariinsky here, its formlines are too strong and with her sparingly raced yet fit aura around her should win here, although classic race bets at 60 p are not my kind of bets

Thus I have decided to watch this race while cheering Mariinsky and Trevor Patel here.

As in racing there is nothing called certainity I wish luck to others who choose other horses for win,may the best horse win

For all academic purposes this is my choice

My choice:#6 Mariinsky for win

Race no 8:A class IV race over 1400 mts (4yo+)

Supreme's last run behind Ice Cutter was something I had took a note off and thought would be nice following her, as she had changed her running tactics. Now with that benifit of run holds a good chance to win here

Prince of darkness,Grey connection and Rebuttals Hope are the other horses that can give a fight, yet Supreme looks like a decent bet in this field

My choice:#3 Supreme for win

Race no 9:A race for horses in class IV over 1200 mts

A tricky race this, all youngsters are with negative shoes yet difficult to ignore them.

Of the older horses The Guardian and Dance With Me impress, the latter looks like a good place prospect

Natural View has lots of initial speed and on a classic day the track will work to its advantage, this one is the horse to beat

But the tracks of Transformer lead me to believe that with a level jump can make things interesting here, thus I am taking an e/w chance on this horse

My Choice:#7 Transformer for win/place

Day's Best:Cocktail Circuit

Double:Zizzi-Supreme

Have a nice day,gamble responsibly
