Hello Friends,
By the time this post gets completed it would be just an hour or two before racetime, anyways hope it helps those who could read it
RACE 1:
Multigory:won maiden race in his second start and has won class class 4,class 3 and class 53-79 races subsequently, the last two start winner has hit sublime form and is the one to watch out for
Jeanine:A first start winner over 5f to clear maidens has subsequently won class 3 and class 2,pune has been a better hunting ground.
Pugnacious:Has age on his side and so are the weights tilted in his favour,on class is a maiden winner, class 4 winner and class 3 winner, hence is the one to beat
During the fag end of the season horses who are in form can hope to do much better and with that logic I feel Multiglory should have a big say in the opener
Race 3:
Forest Fire:A maiden, having second start in class V over extended trip with a + switch in jockey, keep an eye, fair record in class IV
Sheer Belief:Another maiden horse but not doing well in any of the starts so far, better to see how he fares
Windohek:A 11 race maiden, finished second once over the same trip and same class hence one should not discard this horse based on a not so good run last time out,the allowance must add to the chances.
Arc of Passion:Another maiden in the fray but then again hasn't shown anything of a improving kind, hence better to wait and see how he fares here
Star Scholar:A fourteen race maiden, change of jockey to trevor and appeals on yard power and jockey credentials,on form and class should be there but not the best
Maqsad:Aged 7 and still a maiden and taking on younger horses, has ? aplenty
Goldstreak:A 6yo maiden and will carry lightweight here, best performance till date is second in a class V affair, may find this field difficult.
Foeset Fire and Windohek are the 2 horses that are in my contention, the class factor seems to be with the former and is a natural choice for this race.
Race 4
Eigers Tiger:A class IV winner over 1800 to clear maiden ranks and a higher class performer who is dropping down in trip now after dropping down in class last time out.
Democrat:Same class winner last time out over a scurry and now retained in the same class is trying out an extended trip
Kiss From a Rose:Won a hard fought race last time out in class 5 and on promotion with a win on her back, keep an eye
Ventura:Aged 7 years and is an upsetter at best in this bunch.
Respect:A 10 race maiden with a couple of second places over the 7f trip, drops in distance and has a change in saddle
Drogo:A seven race maiden with a best performance over 7f,last run is ? as it was interfered heavily and should be in the hunt as trainer opted for same trip again.
Jeena:Twice winner in class 5,should do well in age company, against youngsters is a ?
Carnival:only one career run so far in which it ran last, resect to trainer and jockey should be given, not to be ignored
Sweep Aside:Age and last 2 runs looks to be negatives, giving this horse a pass here
Pretty Angel:A 14 race maiden with a good performance over the same trip in last start and has a change in jockey, keep an eye
Eigers Tiger,Kiss from a rose,Respect,Drogo,Carnival and Pretty Angel all have a thing or two going for it,the first named horse has exposure of higher class and that should be a reason to call it a top contender,Drogo had a miserable last run but can hope to do better here with a better run in the straight,I think Eigers Tiger has it in him to run well provided he does not find the distance sharp.
Race 5:
Texas Gold:A lone winner in the pack and the terms arent tilted in his favour anways a chance based on what he did
Gnostic Eyes:Well bred but jockey choice for this kind of a race not inspiring any confidence
Anniversary Girl:Another horse where the choice of rider is putting ? on intent.
Daffodil:one of the three fillies with a definite chance in this race, last start was at Bangalore where she ran a maiden million and with that benefit of a run should be in the hunt
Daughter Of The Sun:Has a huge change in jockey, was silently fancied last start and showed herself in good stead despite running green, has a chance to improve and is a contender
Forest Fairy:Bred well and ran second to Benefactor who is considered to be a good type adds to her chances, another horse with a scope of improvement
On class alone Texas Gold being a winner and graded race runner is a contender, however he is giving weight to the bottom three fillies who are bound to improve and in such a scenario I'm going with the million runner in Daffodil to land the odds in what should be a keenly contested race.
Race 6:
Vision of Romance:Maiden Class winner and Terms winner, hovering around in the same class since then, last start ran like a scalded cat over a mile and is an interesting contender based on that run
Batman:Maiden Class Winner and backed it up with a win over a mile in class 3,last run was in class 54-79 and now on virtual demotion, keep an eye
Country Music:Maiden class winner in Pune and class 3 winner at delhi followed by a run in the North Indian Derby, another intersting contender
Classicus:A couple of winners in class 4 this season over the 7f trip, first run in class 3 but still has the form to mask the class factor
Zambian:A class IV winner twice in its extended carrier, age is an issue and so is form, keep an eye.
Makino:A maiden class winner earlier in his career and followed it by winning a race this february, last start was over a mile in this class and with a drop down to favourable distance should not be discounted
Sensex:A lone win over the same trip and a good second in this class and bottom weights in this race makes this a live contender in the penultimate race of the day
I for think Classicus/Makino/Sensex should throw a winner and amongst the three I feel Makino has an edge in class factor going for it.Vision Of Romance on a repeat performance with respect to last run should be an upsetter
Race 7:
Grey Flannel:Same class (class 4) winner and with same winning jockey repeating again, contender
Fabio:A first start winner over the 5f trip,a class 3 runner on seasonal debut, last run showed some spark and is an interesting contender here.
Gran Paradiso:A class 4 winner with a change in jockey now,5f seems to be pet distance.
Pristina:Lower class winner with a decent run in class IV d-2 last start, may find this set difficult.
Pacific Dunes:Lower class winner with a not so decent run in class IV d-2 last start, may find this set difficult.
Gregorian Chants:Maiden class winner, dropped a lot of ratings due to bad form, difficult unless there is a huge change in form
Logano:The proverbial upsetter due to experience and in and out running, difficult to pass a judgement
Be Bold:Class V winner over 5f,followed by a decent run last time out, keep an eye.
Knights Quest:A class V winner over 6f and finished close to the heels of winner in same class last time out, keep an eye
Petronius:A maiden still after 4 runs, last run showed a spark and as such should be in the hunt today.
Shape The Scape:Lower class winner with some bad runs in the near past, outsider at best.
Ame:Class v winner over the same trip,a very good value horse given the early speed in the race and also the distance factor going for it.
Dusky Siren:Maiden,unknown entity
Fabio/Knights Quest/Petronius are the three shortlisted horses for me,Fabio scores on the class factor and should be the top contender in this race.
Days Value Bet:5-4 Daffodil
Have a good day,Gamble responsibly.
