Bangalore 23/11/13

Hello Friends
A card of 8 races awaits us for the day at Bangalore,on the outset looks like a decent card, here is my own analysis and my personal fancies for the day.

Race no 1:A class V race over 1200 mts

A typical Class V race to start the proceedings with, all five youngsters here do not appeal to me,the first timer who is running with a claimer doesn't seem to be prepped well Atleast to me and the other four fit into the same bill as well.

Faith and toil which ran during the Bangalore summer season, where it finished third despite being slowly off, seems to be prepped well recently. With a top flight jockey aboard has a good chance to score here

But am taking a chance on tic tac toe, although I feel the claimer to Suraj Narredu factor as the main reason for that, his recent work at the tracks are good and suggestive of a good show, thus is my choice for the opener of the day

My Choice:#9 Tic Tac Toe for win

Race no 2:Class III race over 1200 mts

On first look on recent formlines the race seems to be a two horse affair between Clever trick and Better than Ever, the former having a positive shoe and jockey switch and the latter a positive jockey switch, coincidentally both trainer-jockey combination works out to be another factor to be added indeed.

But Shoot out which won in the lower class and ran fourth in this very class last time out seems to be the challenger and a serious one too,the only negative I see would be the choice of jockey yet in this set stands a realistic chance to score

My choice:#5 Shoot out for win/place

Race no 3:A race for class IV horses over 1100 mts

There is Firestorm who have performed quite consistently in the recent past here and there is also You re rocking who had a forward run last time out in the fray.

But the prescence of Santa Ana whose run a couple of weeks ago behind Arctic Attraction also after leading the pack warrants serious consideration, taking into account the weight carried and the jockey aboard this horse stands tall in this set and should score readily unless some 3 yo show sudden improvement on the track

My choice:#8 Santa Ana for Win

Race no 4:A 3 yo maiden race over 1200 mts

Conrad and Scorching Vulcan both have similar records, both are consistent so far and infact the latter has a top jockey on board. Also is showing some goodwork on the tracks, this gelding has a decent chance to score here

But the run of Hidden Hero may be a cause for concern as it did put in a suggestive effort. However due the presence of the top jockey and consistent performances throughout Scorching Vulcan is my choice here

My Choice:#7 Scorching Vulcan for Win

Race no 5:Class IV race over a mile

Castle Stuart which is eventually a last start winner is the only winner amongst the 3 yo horses in the fray, this stand a chance to repeat its victory but then there are a couple of horses who can make it tough for him

Sur La Tete is bred in half to Borsalino, after running second to Turf Striker on debut haven't really lived up to expectations, the horse is being prepared well and after the rest period should have a say at the finish,I will watch how this horse performs here for the future

Then there is Bronzino which was a failed fav last time due to a slow start, having been prepared well with subsequent gate practices stands a good chance here with Vaibhav at the saddle

Whimsical and Luckythirteen also have something or the other going for them and thus this is one amongst the open races of the day

My choice:#4 Bronzino for Win

Race no 6:A race for horses in class II over 1200 mts

Wind Wonder who made a stunning late-debut is now on its way for a hat-trick and now in class II,conceding weight to two three year olds and at cramped odds. If it wins then truly a great horse.

Thus this race and the scenario here has provided a chance for some of is to exploit and I will say why,Cristoffe which showed early promise and is now in class II,run behind Rock with u at Hyderabad to be noted.

But I think the winner here will be Light of Success, sitting at the bottom of the scales this horse is a known front runner and having led the classic 1000 gns field into the home straight went backwards, at this distance and at this weight is a very serious contender and the one that should have the last laugh

My Choice:#11 Light of success for win

Race no 7:Class III race over 1400 mts

Sovereign Rule which is in my list of to be followed horses is making an appearence here,at unbackable odds I will take a break here, but for all academic interest I guess this horse should win hands down

My choice:#4 Sovereign Rule for win

Race no 8:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+)

Pack ur bags,Wrekin and Forthcoming all are ridden by the top jockeys here, they all do stand a chance here as this is another open race where the luck of the race would decide who would win. My choice here is Lads Gladiator as a horse which had a run benifit,on demotion and change of jockey seems like a good e/w bet here.

My choice:#3 Lads Gladiator for e/w bet

Day's Best:Light of success

Double:Scorching Vulcan-Santa Ana

Have a nice day,gambles responsibly
