Bangalore analysis for 15/11/13

Hello friends,
A card of 9 races has been framed for the day, with a Class I race over 7f as the main race of the day

Race no 1:Class IV race over 1200 mts

A look at the runners of this proves that this race could well be a two horse affair in Feet on fire and Spiritofchartedwell

Feet on fire has a good draw and also has a one kg advantage over its prime rival thanks to a claimer on a top

Spiritofchartedwell has been prepared well if one goes by its tracks and is ridden by a better jockey, the outer draw and a layoff from the track for as nearly as 4 months is a cause of concern

Then there is Oceanic wind which has had a pretty good weight reducing mission and Rebuttals hope which has won a race during the summer season has had two ignorable runs and is now seen in this race with a modest field

Then to make things complicated there are two 3 yo horses which make a debut and Kimora amongst the two is the one I expect to put up a bold show.

But amidst all this,I honestly feel Spiritofchartedwell has a very good chance to win the opener of the day

My Selection:#6 Spiritofchartedwell for WIN

Race no 2:A race for 2yo horses over 1100 mts

Saltoro Ridge appears as the horse that has been prepared well to take this baby race, but I feel it may not be as easy as it seems

Vivid Impression is seen to be working well on the trails and seems like a contender too

Both horses of MAM are not as active as others in the trackworks, progenies of color me red Dam of SHREWD MASTER has produced some decent horses that can handle this trip well and there is also Black Areca from the Puttana yard with a top jockey on board

But well again my choice here is none of the above discussed horses,it is again a horse from the Byramji yard and that is Little brown Jug,bred in full to Rio from the champion freshmen sire of 2012-2013 Multidimensional is the one that they all have to beat here and is very much capable of upsetting this race. Also its last spurt with an older class II horse Sussex Downs seems like the horse has been prepared for a memorable debut, yet playing a e/w bet is moral

My choice:#4 Little Brown Jug Win/Place [Upset bet]

Race no 3:A class V race over 1200 mts

The only horse with a shimmer of recent form in this rac is Balance of Nature and is very well supported by some good tracks as well but the prescence of younger horses may lose a problem of sorts for this horse

Especially the prescence of Attitude Extreme whose running style suggests that the extra bit from its last run will be useful and Tiger Eyes who has been running a lot of races since making debut should earn its cornbill sometime soon.

Of the older horses,Fortunate One seems to have the support of the weights and the horse fluke seekers should not ignore

But on all accounts the horse that can topple the favourite is Tiger Eyes, has the benifit of a run this season and a change in jockey from a claimer to a full jockey. Despite the weight this gelding is giving all around should run a decent race, place looks moral but a small fling on win is what am going to do

My choice:Tiger Eyes for WIN/Place

Race no 4:A race for class IV horses (4yo+) over 7f

There are two previous(last outing) winners in Arun and See you later, both may find a win here a tad difficult if not completely impossible

That makes the prescence of Igah Igah Igah a fluent winner of the same trip in its last Bangalore Summer Campaign a top contender for this race, but the ever consistent Volans which has been hitting the frame quite often but for its last run which was decent enough never the less that too in the same season has an edge over the others if you ask me,quite possibly in this very competitive race can score a win,the only horse that may spoil the party is Abbas dreams who is also placed good in the scales but may find winning an uphill task

My choice:#8 Volans For Win

Race no 5:A class IV race over 1200 mts

Just like the lower division of the same race, the race seems to be confined to the 3 yo

Golden Princess was a horse on my follow list, did win once during summer but had lost its sheen thereafter and now being transferred to the second trainer's stable of the Baron,I will watch this run and see how this performs over here

Having assumed that Golden princess won't be in contention it is fair to assume that the race will be between the other 3 yo.

Cannes although from top owners and ridden by a jockey of high repute doesn't inspire lot of confidence for me

Kentucky Rose although won a race in the same class, doesn't match up with either Smokey Sid or Pacific Blue

Pacific blue is a horse which was under the scanner for a lot of wrong reasons and a jockey has been suspended, now with jockey Suraj Narredu in the saddle and an impeccable form line (2nd to Rock with u) is the default contender

However,I beg to differ and suggest that Smokey Sid which has already won a race and not a bad formline either (3rd to TURFSTRIKER) on debut, can make a race out of it,this sparingly raced horse should make a race out of it with the piping hot fav

My choice:#1 Smokey Sid for Win

Race no 6:A race for class IV horses over a mile (4yo+)

Glycys Bay and Zermatt are the two horses that appeal straightaway in this race, the former has run pretty close against younger horses and with John on top a very strong contender and later after finishing fourth last time out should be in the firing lane.

Starscream and Smokehead also have suggestive last few runs to stake a claim here, but the Glycys bay on its account of running behind youngsters and Zermatt who has won a race over this distance before retaining the same rider again may well be two horses too good for the others,as Zermatt may be suitable for this distance and also has a run benifit in this ongoing season I prefer him over Glycys Bay

My choice:#4 Zermatt for win

Race no 7:A Race for class I horses over 1400 mts

To be very honest I was surprised at the performance of classic placed Jersey Shore during its previous run,may be the pace upfront was too hot for the youngster or the tactics did not simply pay off.

Having said that Jersey Shore now finds himself amongst another Class I field, again with a similar horse in record like Equine Lover,a classic winner and then failed to live up to the expectations incidentally from the same yard as of S.Padmanaban who is firing all cylinders this season.

But perhaps I would wish to give one more chance to Jersey Shore as I feel it was the pace of the race that was run last time that cost this horse dearly last time out and now should run an improved race.

My choice:#4 Jersey Shore for Win

Race no 8:A race for Class III horses over 1200 mts

Valerian-has been a sort of a follow horse for me ever since he made a winning debut making every post a winning one till his last run in the Mysore classic, this horse has always been on my watch list. Always believed this horse would do well over 1100/1200 mts and now as it happen to run over this distance with regular partner on the saddle makes it a natural choice for me

But for others who may disagree have a reason to do so as Windsurfer is eyeing for a hat-trick and it is well within its reach

But the relative company Valerian has seen and the way Valerian cut the pace during the Mysore 2000 guineas which ended as a race with a record timing suggest that this horse should win this race in style,my days best

My choice:#4 Valerian for win

Race no 9:A race for horses in class III over 1400 mts (4 yo+)

Four horses who are winners in the last outing are running in this race,See Bright I say Novel Approach and Hackket being the four

See Bright had actually had a layoff after its win

Novel approach taking a good jump in class

Hackket is now being ridden by a not so good jockey and

I say is a winner in the same class, was a habitual slow starter but still won last time out, same jockey astride and can repeat

My choice:I say Win/Place

DAY's Best:Valerian

Double:Volans-Zermatt

Upsetter:Little Brown Jug/Tiger Eyes

Have a nice day,gamble responsibly
