Hello friends,                      The pre derby race day card has a well filled 10 race affair,with the Gr.3 Kunigal Breeders produce stakes as the main event for the day,here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day.  RACE NO 1:A class IV race over 1400 mts  The opener of the day has a good size field and has a lot of horses vying for the top honour I personally feel that the winner should emerge from Medanito,Fianoven,Pamushana and Tempest  Pamushana ran green on its debut and now with the change in pilot is the top contender in this race,they all have to beat this horse  Tempest ran fifth despite a wide draw in a big field and then followed it up with a good second over a 5f trip,now with this jockey and a relatively weaker field can score   here,should place  Medanito and Fionaven are from the same stable,the former has one run where its ownermate won handsomely,now seems to be prepared well and should be in the thick of things,the latter after the run benifit should put

Hello Friends,                       The mother of all races,The Mcdowells Sigbature Indian Derby 2014 #MSID2014 is just around the corner,with twenty plus horses in the handicap stage the excitement is palpable among railbirds like us,the discussions will be the mainstay for the rest of this week building up to the mega event. Get ready friends to watch and cheer the magnificent horses that will run for the money,fame and ofcourse undisputed status of being the best horse of the year in the best race of the season.  Will it be the dual derby winner in Hyderabad and Pune JEREMIAH or will it be the Indian Oaks winner ISN'T SHE SPECIAL or will it be the Bangalore Summer champion ALAINDAIR or will it be the Indain 2000 guineas here MURIOI. Can SILVER ARROW finally live up to expectations or TURF STRIKER spoil the party of the expected lot. Only time will tell until then it will be a wait for the passionate of us to see who will win the biggest of em all this year..................

Hello Friends,                      First of all I wish all fellow Countrymen A very Happy Republic Day,and by tradition the Banglore derby is slated to run on this day of historic importance,the day has a card of 9 races and here is my analysis and personal preferences for the upcoming races  Race no 1:A class IV race over 1200 mts  Vigorous  which happens to be a winner in maiden class ran a decent race in its last outing,now enjoys a switch in jockey to  John  and is certainly the horse to be beaten in this race  Although there are horses such as  Summer Sensation  (good 2nd in the lower class as a fav)  Blackbird  (ignore last run,before that ran a very good race to finish second to  CANNES ) and  Tradition  (whose recent track spurts are very suggestive) I would like to put my money on  Prazsky ,primarily because of the set it encounters in this race and secondly because of its running style in previous races which suggests that on a classic day it will suit the front-running styl

Hello Friends,                      The Derby has attracted more than half a dozen horses from Bangalore,with the exception of dual classic winner Southern Emperor and the classic winning filly Apparition the others have yet to shine on the big stage  Of the other raiders only two horses in SOVEREIGN RULE and PURSUIT OF FAME look like threatening the most fancied duo.  Of the local brigade KALLU MAMA  and ROSES IN BLOOM look like possible threats,the later who won in the same distance ran a dismal race in the oaks,will the switch to a more positive jockey make a difference is the ? Also VOCATION purely based on its track spurts can sneak in somewhere on the board  All said and done,Southern Emperor stands tall in this field and will be easily past the post if he is 100% fit which I believe he is looking at the track spurts. If odds are reasonable a wager is sensible but at low odds in a classic race is always a recepie for disaster.  Going by the pedigree alone,Sovereign Rule looks goo

Hello friends,                     Due to some irrepressible reasons I wasn't able to upload my blog,however I did mention my investment plans on horsetalk.indiarace.com portal,feel extremely bad that on an Indian classic day I am not able to post full analysis.  On the brighter side my investments for Thursday and Friday paid good returns and I am on the green for this week,for blog readers I will post those details later.  However today in the classic I feel Starry Eyes out of the new sire sensation Multidimensional should keep the got abroads who are also bred well in Circle of life and Amazing Grace at bay. Hello friends,                       After a disappointing Saturday,it is time now to look ahead for Sunday with whatever that's left with my initial 10000 that is 10000-2050=7950. For my blog I will have this amount for my investment plan.  Race no 1:A CLASS III RACE OVER A MILE  A small field mile race to start the proceedings. Haddock which is now coming fresh from two runs in class II  is a class IV winner and placed when it ran in the same class,now runs with a positive switch in jockey  SELF DIRECTED has age in its favour and is a same class winner a run before its last run,ran behind the too good Noble and Nice in its last start and retains the same jockey  Dancing Dame which has earlier crossed swords with Seld directed earlier in the season is now seeming well placed in weights and add to that it has a switch in pilot to A.Sandesh ,should run a good race  Fire Falcon after posting consecutive victories found Astaire too good to handle in its last start,is a winner over 6 a

Hello friends,                       The pre-derby day card has 8 races with  THE CALCUTTA CHAMPION'S SPRINT TROPHY GR.III  as the feature of the day,here is my bit of analysis and personal choices,along with investment plans for the day  RACE NO 1:A class III race over 2000 mts  The opener of the day has a small field yet presents itself as a very open race.  Highly Explosive  and  Antara  are the two previous start winners in the lower class,the former over the same distance and the latter over a mile.  Razmaden  seems to be the dark horse here as it is visibly dropping its ratings,can it make a race of it here is beyond my imagination but not ruled out  Goliath  had earlier run a good second over the same trip this season and on that run seems to be better than  Chalaque  but the latter's run is best ignored as it missed the jump and it was a ignorable run,having won before while traversing the same trip is a top contender here especially with the French jockey who had his e

Hello Friends,                          Its nice to be back blogging after the new year,Bangalore's card consists of 9 races and here is my bit of analysis and personal fancies for the day,along with my quota of 10000 allotment for the day,from today I hope this will become a routine in my writeup,of all the benifits I wish it helps my own assessment of myself  RACE NO 1:A class IV race over 1400 mts  With all 4 yo in this race yet to shed their maiden status,there is a high possibility that one amongst them will be able to post a maiden victory.  Abba which is making a late debut,seems to be prepared well has a good trainer-jockey combination and given the quality of this field can hope to put up an impressive debut.
