Hello Friends,                          Got some breather of a time amongst a busy schedule and here are my readings of three races which I had time to study.... Magistero more so because the Dam's name rings a bell,still a maiden but rated 30 and last run was in the summer derby,so there is a step down in class,the one to beat would be watchmyscript who is a maiden class winner over the same trip Magical light has the 'class' factor going for it and hope that Cedric isn't another Neil Farley and Magical light doing pretty well over 1200m is my pick here Romantic Helen has services of suraj narredu ! Intent is a ? But on logic being the highest rated maiden stands a decent chance to close the day..... That's all,have a good day.

Hello Friends                         Late Post yet I thought something to blog on a sunday is better Reds Revenge- Is now being piloted by a better jockey compared to its past two runs,has age on its side and weights too must be an interesting contender in the opener of the day Captain courage - will be home and dry it is the horse at the bottom who is a threat if any.... Miracle of love -is the odd one out in this race and with a change in jockey and weights in its advantage should run a good race,eachway chance Cool runnings -With a run under the belt early on this season and running over the right trip is a curious contender here,Vixen and Star of Babylon add fire to what seems to be a flame of a race.... Synchronicity -deserves another chance after failing to win last time out despite having all chances to do,track spurts are inspiring too Salvatore Mundi -The got abroad debutant is decent in the spurts and is the one to look out for in the sixth of the day Magical

Dear Friends,                          Again another day where time is an issue,no wonder TIME is considered as invaluable... Anyways here are my picks for some hand picked races... 1-1 Unico Corazon has weights and also age against it but in a race which may be dominated by those who could stay the trip,on account of its recent form gets my first vote, Striking Story needs some attention too as it has performed well in the upper class too and in this class is an imminent threat. 2-5 Niobrara looks well placed on promotion and has quite a chance to pull it off on first run after promotion,challenge if any may be from Harvey who I'm surprised has decided to run 1000m again and has chacne in view of its last race 3-5 Silver Beauty although appears to be a tad over penalised and going over a mile first time looks like having the form on its side and is my first pick if a good replacement for Yash is made, Saw Grass on sheer weights is an imminent threat 5-1 Azzuro stands tal

Hello Friends,                          Due to paucity of time have analysed only a few races for the day and here are the picks for the day. 2-3 Severus has not gone the trip before and as i see it is the lone handicap in the second race off the day failing which the ownermate in Uncle Scrooge with the weights will be in the hunt 3-3 Riot of Clolors with an able apprentice is my fancy in this class V affair,incidentally its her handicap debut too and is a chance. 5-4 Eigers Tiger is a chancy chance against its vanquisher in Costa Smeralda and will be in the contention in what looks like an open race. 7-9 Dancing Phoenix has the weights the form and a favourable draw here and is my choice here, Adam who was unlucky last time out with Trevor is an obvious threat. 8-5 Normandy the got abroad appeals in the closing event of the day. Hello Friends,                         As today is a Holiday and have some free time to spare I have tried my bit on Hyderabad which is usually not my cuppa tea :) 1-2 Hard Fought is my first pick in the opener of the day,it has a change in shoes and will be having the services of a claimer who is 4/23 this season which isnt bad, Canberra who is out of Sedgefield and a proper jockey to guide is the one to be beaten. 2-3 Breeze of the south literally walked past its opponents in the last start and was winner of a Terms Million on debut and has good credentials to score an encore here with the same jockey repeating, Euro Zone and Charlie Brown are contenders for place. 3-7 Aston Doulton (W/P)  is a chancy choice in the third race of the day which ofcourse is filled with some decent runners, Fair and Square from the MAM camp is another horse that has caught my attention and is an interesting contender keep an eye. 4-2 Western Express (W/P)  loos another chancy choice in the cour

Hello Friends,                         Today's card is a tricky one and with a maiden million featuring in a day of 7 races here are my picks for the day 1-1 Flight of phoenix may fare better over this trip and is the sole horse with any semblance of form in this race,if odds are low academic interest at best. 2-4 Magnificence is a winner of handicap million last start giving weight to younger horses over a trip which I felt was sharp for it and with that kind of performance and now over a more suitable trip is my first pick on promotion,ofcourse there are two worthy adversaries in Bullrun  whom I fancied in class I and now running at class II and Shadowfax who has been quite a horse and should be respected. 3-1 Judicious is a choice for me on placement,a winner over 7f at Bombay while going pillar to post is facing a rather weak set and is in with a chance here, Gran Padriso the youngster can improve on second lifetime start and is a threat here. 4-7 Zanzibaar was a surp

Hello Friends,                         A compact card has been framed for the day at Pune,here are my picks for the day. 1-7 Locarno is a horse that has had a good lung opener early in the season and is now placed pretty well to win over a trip which it did when it was a maiden, Zadora is the best horse on class but then there is more hope on Locarno for me and is my second pick in this race. 2-2 Staristocrat was a decent third on seasonal debut and was a course winner last year,now facing a company in which Ageless in class and FDM on weight are possible threats,looks a decent chance in the second of the day. 3-3 AnJolie after its last but one win took its sweet time to win again and after doing that is placed well on promotion and with the promising jockey with a good record this season is my first pick, Dramarama is a threat at these weights and keep an eye on it. 4-1 Silken Eyes one of the two maiden class winners in the field has to get the better off last start failed f

Hello Friends,                         September starts with racing at Mysore,a caompact yet dull card of 7 races has been framed for the day,here are my picks for the day. 1-5 Reverberating is my pick in this opener of the day,has been in the mix earlier in its career and will be interesting to see how it fares here with change in shoes, Indian Fury who was sluggish last time out should be in the contention too. 2-5 Breaking Away who has the habit of running upfront and now with the upcoming apprentice who has shown his mettle riding those kind of horses is my pick here and if odds are favourable then is a decent chance in the second of the day. 3-4 Amazing Charm is back in the track where it registered its last win and against a horse that conquered it last time but now with Trevor in the saddle for his retainer is my first pick here, Zodiac is sparingly raced but the choice of jockey merits serious attention and should be in the mix too. 4-1 Sachi has matched strides with

Hello Friends,                         Two Graded races feature in a card of 9 races for saturday,here are my picks for the day. 1-6 Angel Girl with runs in two graded races and now with ace jockey and a decent prep is my first pick in this race,with a run benefit Aragon can be expected to run a good race too. 2-9 Phoenix Fire with respect to probable odds is an eachway chance and is my first pick in this class III affair,it has run over 1400m on seasonal debut and fared well and with that run and a claimer doing duty at the bottom of the scales should be respectd, Critics Choice is 2/2 whenever it decided to run a race and on that and appearing fresh on the scene is the obvious threat and is my second pick here. 3-3 Atalya is my first pick here for running a game race in a class IV million on Independence day and if the jockey keeps his wits should be in prime contention, Imperial Heritage is an youngster trying to go 2400 by giving weights all around a tough but possible task

Hello Friends,                          The Pune card consists of 9 races with The Her Majesty Trophy as the feature of the day,here are my picks for the day. 1-1 Mariska   from the stables of Pesi Shroff has been placed well in a d-2 race in a class IV affair and barring any mishap should be in the winners circle given the trainer and the breeding, Rain Dance who has been running some good/bad races in the past now has a change in jockey after the first run this season and is my second pick for this race. 2-4 Traherne who won a class III affair last time out should be respected for that effort and now with the stable jockey doing duty on promotion should be in the mix of things, Few Dollars More was in the reckoning for me with the apprentice last time out and now with Sandesh taking the reins should ideally be the one to beat. 3-6 Phenomenal Memory although isn't a graded winner like Heather who happens to be my second pick,the former is receiving chunks of weight from th

Hello Friends,                          The day 2 of mysore racing on its opening weekend features Srikantadatta Narasimharaajawadiyar Memorial Million along with 8 other races,here are my picks for the day. 1-12 Flying Prince is a choice more on hope that the Zero rated animal with an added allownace of another 3 kgs wil be able to do well in this field,my second pick here is El Matador who is carrying weights but has done well in the upper class in its last couple of runs and cannot be sidelined.Amongst others the obvious threat would be from John's mount. 2-1 Kir Royale although technically is not a good 6f horse (never won over the trip) has been lucky enough to run in div-2 of this class IV affair and retains the services of YSS who had earlier driven this horse to a win a season before on seasonal debut and that makes it as my first choice in this race, On Time has had an eventful last run way back at january and has quite a possibility to cause an upset,my second

Hello Friends,                          The opening day of the Mysore Main Season consists a card of 8 races with two races open for Mysore based horses only and the rest of them have B'lore horses participating,here are my choices for the day. 1-8 Brown Beauty is a choice more on hope as there are some horses including a Mumbai discard and a got-abroad in the fray,Trevor as a change in jockey and a possible chance on improvement on second lifetime start are a couple of reasons for me to fancy Brown Beauty. 2-2 Evander E/W true that there are horses,some of them with better form in the fray but with the change in jockey and some decent trial spurts Evander looks like having a chance in this class V affair,of the others it is Saratoga Springs and Jump In The Red. 3-1 Czar Rule against Attractive Bay in my view,the former is a demotee with a strong switch in jockey,is a winner over this trip and in my view ticks quite a few boxes and is my first pick,amongst the Mysore based

Hello Friends,                         Sunday's racing at Pune consists a card of 7 races featuring The Panchshil Million a class III race over 7 furlongs. 1-3 Hope Springs E/w on the hope that this horse from a veteran trainer will show the same improvement that it is showing on the trial tracks in the field,otherwise a race better watched as the field consists of eternal back-markers who now has a decent chance at glory. Blaze The Track and Tareef are the other contenders in my view. 2-5 Nascar again a race that maybe decided in the first few seconds as 1000m races are more about positioning than anything else, Nascar failed to do that last time out and still ran a decent race against Captain Courage and now should be in prime contention once again, Harvey who has placed over 1000m trips earlier is an imminent danger. 3-4 Costa Smerlada who has finished second in as many starts finished second in The Fillies Trial Stakes at the fag end of Mumbai season and true that the h

Hello Friends,                         Now what Bangalore Summer with its topsy turvy turns for me is done and dusted,we need to focus on Pune for the weekend,a compact card of 7 races has been framed with a race in memory of Jockey D.K.Ashish. Here are my views of the races to be held today. 1-4 Replica may be fancied but it is an interesting choice against the Course and Distance winner not once but twice in Sail Past who has a run benefit too this season and ofcourse Quatro who finished ahead of Replica in its last run,Replica is having a change in jockey to the infamous Kaviraj Singh who showed a spike by finishing second last week also it is maiden but has been able to hover around the ratings of 30 and thereabout and as such in a race for 5yo+ horses stands a decent enough chance to win from the other two mentioned horses. 2-4 Korol is certainly the better horse on class amongst the four possible contenders ( Korol,Uncle Scrooge,Sabiq and Kommandant) but then its distance c

Hello Friends,                         The last day of the season and to be honest Thursday's results although were not shocking it did not certainly go my way,anyways lets see what the final day has instore for us 1-2 Fire Rainbow on account of last run against Pallas and the company it is facing now appeals, Ninion prep suggests some improvement and Wear the Hat will also be in contention thanks to the owner-trainer-jockey combo. 2-9 Campfire despite shooting its ratings when finishing second in last start has a lot of challengers to fight against here, Galino for a start and also Kings Kid... The reason is simply that it ran well last time out and for a horse like this the form could be exploited to win an elusive maiden. Hello Friends,                          Today is the first of the two extra days scheduled for BANGALORE RACES,the card has 8 races and here are my choices with a reason or two.... 1-1 New Era has been running some off the pace races in the recent past,dont know for sure if that style of running will suit it better,however on respect to the class it is running against can do better here,keep an eye on Reverberating who has run this class V race as a fav once earlier on and with conditioning in class IV should be in strong contention too,an eachway chace. 2-6 Storm racing as a debutant in the race named after the Horse owned and trained by the connections has my first preference over ofcourse Gypsy who has raced with good company but should change its tact to prevail here,of the others the front runner in last start in Siyoni gets a chance to place in what seems an open affair. 3-2 dancing princess looks good to win in this upper divison no whip affair,challengers in this race

Hello Friends,                          Looks like quite a   regular card of 8 races at the BTC for the official penultimate day of the BSM-2016 ! here are my picks and a reason or 2 for them. 1-9 Only Prince  against Just Fabulous and Bolts Colt in the opener of the day,one reason being the weights and the other being the hope that the change in equipment might bring about in my choice. 2-7 Fjord  is jumping out from gate 1 and if the Phoenix Tower progeny manages to hit the front will be in good contention and thats the hope and risk of backing a debutant,another debutant in Ark Royal  is also prepared well in the trial tracks and should be in contention. 3-5 Towering Heights against the debutant Salazaar, the reason being the former has had a run in a million at derby weekend and with that kind of a run on his back should come a lot better in this run,the latter has been prepared well by the trainer and should be right there in the mix 4-6 Mariko appeals to me in this cl

Hello Friends,                         Today's racing card features the Pune Bookmakers Association Million  over a 7f trip along with 8 other races,here are my picks for the day 1-1 Jigsaw looks the better of the possible two contenders in this race the other being last start same class winer in Shadowfax ,although the latter has the weights in its favour the former being a class 1 placed horse on its last start and being a demotee appeals to me in what is a duel to open the day at Poona. 2-2 multiglory w/p because he is young,has won over the trip and was closer to the winner in both his last 2 starts,jockey change from trevor to neeraj is the lone cause of concern.Of the others Starry Brook being exposed in the higher class and Sumaaq on weights should be in clear contention. 3-5 Traherne is an adventurous sort of choice against the terms placed runner in San Martino ,as the latter is odds on and is still a non winner,there is a degree of skepticism atleast from my side

Hello Friends,                         Thursday wasnt any good,but then its time to move on and see where we stand at the end of the week,here are my choices for the day. 1-2 Shining Armour e/w dropping down in class for the first time along with placing over this very trip in its previous sojourn's are its pros,the cons include the jockey and some more experienced horses in the fray,danger should be from Veda who despite the long lay off could surprise and ofcourse the two market fancies 2-5 Interesting as the name suggests is a choice of mine due to two factors,one of them being a handicap debut with an optimal rating and two being active on the trial tracks unlike my other fancy in the race De Ville Butterfly . 3-2 Maduro against the likes of proserpine is a choice because of conditioning in two terms million of which one is a third place effort in a seemingly good company,has been penalised a couple of points for that effort yet still the mumbai horse under the Hyd scho

Hello Friends,                          The postponed card has 7 races with the Bangalore Summer Million as the feature of the day,here are my picks with a reason or two.... 1-1 Galino looks decent enough being a demotee and also as a 3yo gelding,there are a couple of horses with good saddle support to contend with yet with age and conditioning in the upper class on its side is my personal fancy 2-4 Carolina with Suraj in the saddle and having run behind Escala who managed to win again in class III is my choice here against the consistent Shan Ben Aari, keep an eye on Gypsy has good scope to improve. 3-4 The Lieutenant won well last time out and a repeat is very much on the cards with the horse going out again over 7f with the same jockey and in the same class,there is a slighly tougher competition now and thats the odds against it.... 4-3 Sporting Pleasure won well last time out over a terms race and now with the weights in favour thanks to the terms of the race can repeat a

Hello Friends,                          Sundays racing has a card of 8 races featuring The Bangalore City Sprint Championship Gold Cup (Gr.3) and here are my picks for the day with a reason or two... 1-3 Kings Smile because I'm looking at a 4yo to win here so that brings the contenders down to only 4 horses, Youresohandsome also has a switch in jockey like my choice and is a 4yo but Kings Smile ran along with youngsters on the derby weekend,also keep an eye on Ramon who is capable of hitting the front and with these weights with the allowance rider would be a danger. 2-10 Bolts Colt a typical class V affair of BSM,a winner over this trip before and with a positive change in jockey made me opt for this 6yo against some of its younger challengers, First Step with a good jockey for this trainer is an imminent threat... 3-4 Integrated who started his career late came into the scene with two back to back wins in the older class III,there is staying blood on the dam's side

Hello Friends,                         Saturday's racing has a card of 8 races,here are my selections with a reason or two on why I like them...... 1-3 Desert Gold is an youngster and demotee just like the other horse I'm interested in Roaring Thunder ,what makes me go for Desert Gold is that its drawn 1 in a 1100m race and it has a lower burden to carry if one take into account the apprentices allowance and also the fact that the apprentice is doing well this season. 2-10 Zafran ,from the top stable is facing a good number of opponents in Fabulous (failed fav and is looking to improve yet again) and Sterling Role (Who did well to finish second best on debut and certainly has the scope ti improve) not to forget the Paddy horses in the fray too,however Zafran was my choice when it ran last time and now with a switch in jockey and a change in jockey I feel there is hope.... 3-4 Balian is no wonder penalised 5 points for his second to Babushka over 7f last time out and thi

Hello Friends,                         Sundays racing at Bangalore features The Bangalore St.Leger  which is now open to older age groups along with the 4yo's,the Invitation went the  Arc way and now the B'lore St Leger is trying to emulate the Irish St Leger,but then the 2400m Invitation has always fancied the younger horses so far and will the Bangalore St leger be any different? This year's field has one superstar against 4 other horses and it will be interesting to see how this race evolves in the years to come,with that note here are my selections for the day 1-6 Tic Tac Toe is now facing an all youngster field,a daunting task lies ahead and so the change in jockey would help its cause,the younger horses all have something or the other going against them and as such it would be really interesting to see how the 7yo fares against the youngsters. 2-6 Candice who is coming out of a decent run last time out is facing too many interconnected horses and the intent shou

Hello Friends,                          After the derby weekend racing goes on now with a 8 race card with The Karnataka Sub-area Cup as the feature,here are my picks.... 1-4 Atlantic City E/w, a bizzare race to start the day,Atlantic city may do well as it has the change in shoes and is rinning in Div-II of this class V affair on demotion, Shoot Out and Mystic Lavenders are the other interesting horses in the fray along with the front running Interactive. 2-2 Surnaturel in what is a dilemma of a choice to make against Powerscourt who is on demotion,Surnaturel because it seems like it is finally coming to hand with two decent performances previously and despite the penalties incurred expect it to run a good one,decent chance. 3-3 Emancipation  is a demotee again,now with a change in jockey (claimer) and a drop in trip looks like a decent contender here is my choice against the likes of Crazy Pineapple who ran well in the young company last time and Rock N Rolla   who is also a

Hello Friends                         There has been a couple of requests to post before 10 am,but then as it is I have started to write only at 10 am,lets see if I could keep up with the time in the coming days,here are my selections for the day. 1-3 Legacy Dream is now going for the third time this season with a top jockey aboard,the trainer is yet to open his account but he has a decent enough chance to do that that too on a big day,this 3yo colt seems like the best amongst the youngsters in this set and as such is my choice. 2-6 Pull The Plug looks to be in hot contention here,more so because it has been in the board 3/4 times in the last 4 runs,plus the form of its last run was franked by Southern Fantasy, last start winner in the lower class Granada and Danburite with John in the saddle should make this race interesting 3-6 Tzar against Gypsy and the Calcutta challenger in Running Hand who tried to steal a march last time out are in my list of contenders,I opt for the for

Hello Friends,                         A card of 8 races for the pre derby day (BSM) with the BTC Anniversary Cup Gr.II as the feature of the day.Here are my selections for the same..... 1-2 Lightning Strikes, is a 3yo in this field who now gets a good switch in jockey and as such assuming that the intent would be positive can come out of Maiden ranks in this Class IV handicap race,a couple of Hyd challengers makes this race an interesting one and such the market should be open. 2-3 Shining Magic has been a winner over the lower class earlier in its career and it was with Suraj in the saddle and its last run where it did well to cover a lot of ground in the latter part of the race coupled with the fact that the winning jockey is back again makes it an interesting choice for me against horses like Honour  who is going out with Blinkers and has always been in the mix and Vicious Circle should be in the mix for winning against an open age field now against age restricted horses on p

Hello Friends,                         The Maharaja Cup features the card of 8 races and asusal here are my picks with a lil bit of reasoning.... 1-7 Masada  is being prepared well on the trial tracks and albeit having moderate bloodlines can hope to score in the D-2 race, Shield of Achilles and Kamaal may make the market go wild but this horse can improve on its second lifetime start in my view,an decent chance 2-3 One to Note is now going back to its winning trip,a SR of 1/30 is too low yet it can hope to do well in this set in my view, Tree Lounge will be also in contention thanks to the jockey aboard but the former may represent value at race-time. Active Grey having run behind youngsters in its last two starts will also be in the hunt.Also Go Green who ran decently last time out should be respected. 3-3 Sudha difficult decison to make against Goat who will be the market fancy thanks to the change in jockey with respect to last run,what made me opt for Sudha is age than any
