Bangalore KF Ultra Derby Day 10/07/16

                       There has been a couple of requests to post before 10 am,but then as it is I have started to write only at 10 am,lets see if I could keep up with the time in the coming days,here are my selections for the day.

1-3 Legacy Dream is now going for the third time this season with a top jockey aboard,the trainer is yet to open his account but he has a decent enough chance to do that that too on a big day,this 3yo colt seems like the best amongst the youngsters in this set and as such is my choice.

2-6 Pull The Plug looks to be in hot contention here,more so because it has been in the board 3/4 times in the last 4 runs,plus the form of its last run was franked by Southern Fantasy,last start winner in the lower class Granada and Danburite with John in the saddle should make this race interesting

3-6 Tzar against Gypsy and the Calcutta challenger in Running Hand who tried to steal a march last time out are in my list of contenders,I opt for the former due to its second behind Supreme General

 4-5 Gabino against the much improved Quarker Ridge,also Sea Lord who is a contender despite weights and jockey makes this an interesting contest,my vote is with the Gabino as he has showed sparks of ;iking the distance and moreover has been in good nick this season.

5-10 Secret Pursuit ran a good one last time out behind the next start winner in Sheryl and with the stable going big guns on saturday may like to win one on the big day too,a good chance in the course of the day

6-9 Havelock Princess is having a rich formline having finished behind two good horses last time out and now with change in jockey and bottom of the scales should be in serious contention,keep an eye on Emidio and Saladdin as both can make the race interesting.

7-5 Serjant At Arms,is it worth the odds? that too in a race of this manner? For me I would enjoy this race and as usual make notes as this race tends to throw classic winners for the future classic across the country... Aster Rose is the upsetting horse if any in this field and it would be interesting to see how Supreme General improves from here

8-3 Brave Minstrel is a sort of an adventurous choice against the million runner in his previous starts in Lord Darlington and Love For Life with a jockey change should be respected too,keep an eye.

9-1 Arabelle again is a value pick against Royal Spectre who has done exceptionally well on debut and also prepared well by the new trainer,now Arabelle has a switch in jockey after what I would call a 'lung opener' and as a non-fav should be an interesting contender here and is my choice.

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in grade with a chance in
