Wish you all a happy independence day,todays races features the Independence Million along with 8 other races,here are my picks for the day
1-1 Caielin looks all set to clear its maiden status in the opener of the day,the only fight may come from the rather well bred Hit it a Bomb who has a good sprinter down south in the family,barring low odds Caielin has the form and prep to see through this div-II maiden affair.
2-5 Fearless Nadia e/w with a win under her belt early on this season is running on promotion and can be expected to see through this trip,the competition is from Severus who is going for a fourth straight win and ofcourse the rage in the fashionly bred Commodore who has been penalised 20 points for last start win.
3-1 Eigers Tiger should be in the contention here if for not anything the consistency and also placing second over this trip earlier,Book Thief will now run an improved race with the comeback jockey in Trevor in the saddle and Trombone who is expected to do well in her third career start should also find herself in the mix making this quite an open affair,The debutant from Mallesh stables is also putting in good prep work and will be interesting to watch its progress.
4-9 Shivalik Shine who cleared a terms million race to break maiden ranks won rather well on seasonal debut over the 5f trip shouldering top wt,and now on promotion and at the bottom of the scales should be in prime contention,albeit this time taking on more experienced horses
5-9 Jolfa who is on her second run like Adeline seem like frontline contenders in what looks like an open Maiden affair with Espresso and Golden Orchid in the mix ! thus Jolfa appeals being a got-abroad and seemingly well prepared in the trials,the trainer isnt the biggest hope though and thats the risk.
6-4 Joss is my first choice being a distance winner and also had conditioning in the upper class in this race,Marvel and Sentosa Cove seem like the possible threats to my choice with the latter taking a huge step down in class from a graded race,also keep an eye on Glorious Hymn who despite the bloodlines looks like having a chance to upset in this feature of the day.
7-6 Rosella who is in quite a good form is expected to score on promotion in my view from the two horses who took their time to clear maidens in Champagne and Frankest !
8-8 Zion with a run benefit earlier this season and decent prep to back it up should run a bold race here,the threat may emerge from Pristina and Dusk N Dawn.
9-6 In My Life e/w who is getting a decent jockey after quite sometime is an each-way chance to close the day,ofcourse the Rehanullah Khan trained and Sandesh ridden horse in Dazzling Dancer is an obvious threat along with Apsaras who after winning in this class has been running in higher class and should be in contention.
