                        Sunday's racing at Pune consists a card of 7 races featuring The Panchshil Million a class III race over 7 furlongs.

1-3 Hope Springs E/w on the hope that this horse from a veteran trainer will show the same improvement that it is showing on the trial tracks in the field,otherwise a race better watched as the field consists of eternal back-markers who now has a decent chance at glory.Blaze The Track and Tareef are the other contenders in my view.

2-5 Nascar again a race that maybe decided in the first few seconds as 1000m races are more about positioning than anything else,Nascar failed to do that last time out and still ran a decent race against Captain Courage and now should be in prime contention once again,Harvey who has placed over 1000m trips earlier is an imminent danger.

3-4 Costa Smerlada who has finished second in as many starts finished second in The Fillies Trial Stakes at the fag end of Mumbai season and true that the horses on display there lacked the class of such a race still in this field against Volantis the well bred Mallesh Narredu ward and Eiger's Tiger who again had a forgettable last run but has a run benefit as possible challengers.

4-2 Mekong Delta is my first pick in this class IV affair agaisnt a horse with run benefit this season in Flying Dragon who can run quite a good one too,also Arlene the horse which may most probably end up as fav from the country's leading yard is also tuned well but have to see how it takes on youngsters.Also keep an eye on Simon Says to fill one of the place spots

5-9 Magical Memory E/w beat nothing of note on debut but the manner of the win was pleasing,Queen Credible is also one other horse that should be considered. Exodus and Khayyam are the contenders amongst the 4yo's. In my view with the youngster getting weight and a good win on debut to her credit should run a fine race and with respect to oddds is an each way chance.

6-13 Yellow Diamond the got abroad debutant seems like a horse who is adequately prepped to make a memorable debut,Grey Flannel and the shroff duo should be the threats,keep an eye on Fly With Me who can be the joker in the pack.

7-14 Mad Hatter E/w in a race that is as bad if not more than the opener of the day,Mad Hatter has been in the mix with a decent run ealier in the season and now should be respected in this set.Alfredo,Speedo and Mind of Madness are the other contenders in the fray.

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run?
