Mysore Friday 24/10/14 Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends, 

                    Fridays card at Mysore has eight races,with a class II race being the feature of the day. Here are my views of the races. 

RACE 1:A class IV race over 1200 mts 

The bottom-weighted Jazzbythebay which comes into this race with a thick vein of form,has a jockey who has been in some form this season too is the top contender in this race 

Smilestone which finished sixth on its seasonal debut has been running some game races at Bangalore and as such cannot be ignored in this moderate bunch 

Arthurian who is out of Win Legend,the Frontrunner for the Freshmen Sire of this season,is making a rather belated debut. He is prepared decently and has services of a top jockey,thus in this weak set can put it past his opponents. My personal fancy 

My Choice:#4 Arthurian Win 

RACE 2:For class V horses over 1400 mts 

FERMINA who finished a rather close fourth in its last start will get the top billing in this race,with a switch to better saddle support and active on the tracks is a top contender in this race 

Of the Mysore based horses Rosies Dreams have been putting in some game performances barring its last run,this horse along with Beautiful Life can hope to upset the applecart of the more fancied runners 

  However I feel that Honourable Empress and Musical Treasure who are both at bottom weight,enjoy good jockey support will be the ones I think that can win this race,on closer scrutiny I find Musical Treasure's chances to be rosy and is my personal fancy 

My Choice:#11 Musical Treasure Win 

RACE 3:A class III race over 1200 mts (5yo+) 

An interesting race this..... Wind And Flight is a same class winner earlier this season,then promoted and finished a good third. Now on demotion switches to the best jockey on form this season,thus will get to billing. 

Fioritta,last run as favoured horse was not that bad,intent at question as it is still sporting steel shoes 

He has to however beat two horses namely,The Jaguar and Starstruck 

Both of them are coming out of the same race which was won rather impressively by Catch The Eye. The shoe change on both the horses in my opinion are positive,because The Jaguar has already won with steel shoes,one of the two stables who evidently has no regard for the shoes.... 

They are closely matched and have confusing signals,if I have to pick one,I will go with The Jaguar as the allowance claimer by the red-hot apprentice will help its cause,my personal fancy 

My Choice:#8 The Jaguar Win 

RACE 4:A class IV race over 1400 mts 

Charming Delmar who finished third in its last outing now gets a switch in saddle support and due to low weights,able jockey support and age factor is the top contender in this race 

There is another 3 yo,who although has struggled in class V cannot be ignored here in New Sunrise

Of the older lot there are horses like Supreme Strength,the horse which ticks many boxes on my list is Guapo. 

Guapo is a horse which finished behind Speed Hawk on derby day,in this set this horse stands an excellent chance to renew its winning ways,because both its last two runs are highly suggestive and thus my personal fancy

My Choice:#6 Guapo Win 

RACE 5:A class IV race over 1200 mts 

Major Attraction which makes its seasonal debut,is well rested has been given a couple of track spurts and retains the winning jockey on the saddle. One has to take in account its fitness level did to lay-off 

Amazon Bay had possibly superior saddle support last time out yet still outclassed,is known to be a slow starter,stands a good chance here as the field is extremely backward 

One horse however catches the eye here is Young Gallant,although a Mysore based horse ran a very suggestive race last time out,in this seemingly suspect company can hope to run a bold race,my personal choice,an e/w chance 

My Choice:#7 Young Gallant Win/Place 

RACE 6:A race for horses rated 60 and above (Class II) over 1200 mts

EMPEROR CRUISE who is the lone youngster in the field,receiving weight from all and is running in its per distance,the top contender in this race 

The presence of Ice Cutter,Sweet Secret and Amazing Redd should make this race pretty interesting. 

I am however share a rather different opinion,have a look at Amazing Desire,who in its last but one run got injured and finished way down the field. Subsequently ran behind too-good Virat in its last run,now should be sharp enough to put it past others even whilst carrying this weight as I feel the 'class' of this horse is well above the rest,my personal fancy 

My Choice:#2 Amazing Desire Win/Place 

RACE NO 7:For 3 yo maidens over 1200 mts 

The most open looking race of the day,Charm and Dream,Sancy,Beautiful Effect,KALLISTRATE are some of the mix of fancied and dark un's in this race 

Two horses catch my eye going by their preps and they are So Famous and Shivalik Ganga,the ever deceiving running style may come to my rescue here as my fancy here is So Famous 

My Choice:#10 So Famous win 

RACE 8:For class IV horses over 1400 mts 

Winged King,the Mumbai import's Nose was Inbetween Delta Delight and a victory. Running at low weights and is the one of the many top contenders in this race 

Pamushana is another Mumbai Import,is better placed thanks to the claimer on top. 

But the presence of two youngsters in Glorious Light and Charming Night makes this race even more interesting. The latter is tracking well,has a positive switch in saddle support and has change in shoes,thus my personal fancy 

My Choice:#8 Charming Night Win
