Hyderabad Tuesday 21/10/14 Analysis and Selections

Friends, 

            Going slow would be my mantra until Thursday,good that Hyderabd races were interesting to me for a change on Monday although I had no winners. Pursuit Of Fame under a peach if a ride from S.John won the Golconda St.Leger,Tuesday's races comprises of eight races,with one 2 yo race (the first in the country for this crop) will be the feature of the day. Again as evident it is am going through a lean patch,read my analysis and following my choice or not is something you have to decide...... 

RACE 1:A race for Cat 1 horses over 1400 mts

Acclaimed,who was in sublime form went down to Machiavellianism,now facing local horses in a handicap. 

Without pondering much into the details of the other runners,I feel Machiavellianism is home and dry,A strictly No Bet race this,my choice is purely academic 

My Choice:#1 Machiavellianism Win 

RACE 2:A cat.4 race over 1100 mts 

Royal Glow has been running some decent races when compared to the rest of the field,is tracking well and one should expect it to run a very good race 

Royal Gold has the best jockey in this field,can hope to better its previous performances 

But Mrinalini who is known to run to the front and weaken has been given some good track spurts,in this set can hope to do well and is my personal choice purely based on running style 

My Choice:#3 Mrinalini Win 

RACE 3:FOR HORSES IN CAT.2 OVER 1400 mts 

Yes Ancilliary is getting Imran Khan in the saddle,is known to be good horse who has lost form,can its fortunes change here ? 

Or Green Jewel who has consistently been second in its last 3 outings,now under a positive jockey whilst promoted can do the trick here ? 

It is for you to decide,I guess Desire has that class factor and should be able to give this field a beating. Please do consider that there is a possibility that in this class a filly carrying weight may prove to be suspect,yet with what I feel  'class' and proper saddle support can do well here. Only worry is its tendancy to go wide while rounding the bend 

My Choice:#1 Desire Win 

RACE 4:A CAT.2 RACE OVER 2400 mts

Quite possibly the first very competitive race of the day 

Wedding Gift has been a consistent performer,cannot be ignored here as it is an established handicapper who now runs with a positive switch in saddle support,a fair chance here 

 RACING TYCOON is now having a change in saddle support,change in shoes receiving weight from the field and has a fair chance here,the only if and a big 'if' at that is to see whether the horse can stay this gruelling trip 

RAY OF HOPE has been is some form oflate,with top jockey on top and decent form to go by has it to score a victory again,a good chance in this set 

But take a look at Fairy Emperor who now has a switch in saddle support,has been prepared well and has shown that it may like the trip whilst finishing a good 2nd over 2200 mts earlier. Has an upsetting chance in this race and is my personal fancy 

My Choice:#6 Fairy Emperor win/place 

RACE 5:A Cat.3 Race over a mile 

LIGHT BLUE SKY found Vijays Victory too-good to handle in its last start,for a horse who cleared its maiden over this trip and has shown some return to form in its last run,this race should be a real test,a fair chance 

However Gentle Chief although has a slight negative switch in saddle support is facing a rather relatively weaker bunch here and has the best chance among the two 3 yo to come trumps in this race 

However,take a look at Crown Jewel,who is racing a handicap field for the first time,well prepared and well-placed has a decent chance to pull it off here and is my personal fancy for this race 

Novaya Zemlaya is the outsider in this race,has already win this season and cannot be ignored here,yet facing some youngsters with decent form 

My Choice:#4 Crown Jewel Win 

RACE 6:A CAT.2 RACE OVER 1000 mts 

MUKTHAR  who was an easy winner last time out,now gets penalised and to negate the disadvantage has services of an ace visiting jockey,the horse is in good form and is the top contender in this race 

Big Boss and Fair and Square are closely matched in my opinion and after a lot of scrutiny I cannot make who is the best,but if I have to choose one it will be the latter 

However,Maharadhi who now enjoys a slight handicap advantage in this race is my personal fancy,he has run some game races and now in this race stands a good chance to place,may upset too 

Also keep an eye on Marquise who is oflate putting some suggestive track spurts,the surprise package if any 

My Choice:#8 Maharadhi win/place 

RACE 7:A terms race for 2 yo only over 1100 mts 

The Feature Event of the day,3 freshmen sires have runners in this race,Advocate General is one amongst the three and will be most fancied of the lot due to many racing and non-racing factors. 

In 2 yo races what matters the most is Pedigree and preparation,often a good mix of both will give the winner 

Two horses come into this race with a mockrace win to show,certainly one can expect these horses to be forward and racing fit,one is Advocate General and the other is Byron Bay

Only the statistics of the now standing sire at Pratap Racing Stud,STERN OPINION will give us proof of its performances 

Thus I am leaning towards Byron Bay who ticks both the breed and preparation boxes,should run a bold race and da give the fight to the universal favourite,my personal fancy 

My Choice:#3 Byron Bay Win 

RACE 8:A Cat.4 Race over 1100 mts 

A messy race to bring down the curtains. 

Sprint Saloni has done a pillar to post job when it won,now facing weak company and has the positive jockey in the saddle,thus a top contender 

Youngsters in Mexican Gambler and Scholar Gypsy stand a chance only did to the age factor,of the two former has good credentials 

Thus the two horses in the top of the scales need some close scrutiny,Cold Smile is running for the first time after demotion has an upsetting chance 

Fenway Court has done relatively well in sprints,last run hit the front bunch and weakend thereafter,now in a shorter distance race has that edge and is my personal fancy 

My Choice:#2 Fenway Court Win/Place
