Mysore Thursday 23/10/14 Analysis and Selections

Friends, 

            Hyderabad on Tuesday turned out to be good,moving on to Thursday where a card of 8 races has been framed at Mysore. I have updated the Monthly report card and with the last leg of the month left lets see what's instore. 

Race 1:A class V race over 1200 mts 

There is not much to analyse in this race,oflate the trend at Mysore is that the local based horses are getting the better of Bangalore horses,this race looks like one where the trend may continue. However without going into the details of the runners,I am giving this race a bye,yes even for studious purposes. May the best horse win :) 

RACE 2:For class V horses over 1100 mts (4yo+) 

On form,there are two previous winners in the current season in the fray in Encourager and Samajdaar

Fashion Flame has been putting in some game performances whilst finding on better in its last two starts,hopefully the cut in distance might work to its favour 

Then there is Tic Tac Toe which is out of a speedy mare,the distance may help it with the weights its supposed to carry. The change in jockey is a concern,the upsetter if any in this race 

However Victory Girl is my fancy as it has positive intent with respect to the shoe change,an apprentice on red-hot form aboard and should give a good account of itself 

My Choice:#3 Victory Girl Win 

RACE 3:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

SNOW ANGEL who had won earlier in the season,ran the last race of Derby day and finished a good third,the very fact that she has been tuned in again within a short span of time with the same jockey,shows intent and may very well do the trick here 

However three horses in my opinion stand a chance in this race,Miss International,Time Flies and Esoterical 

TIME FLIES has ran two seconds in its last two starts,now over this trip in this field stands a good chance,true the horse was interfered in its last run and gets a change of rider thus there is reason to assume that its chances look rosy 

However,Miss International who also comes out from the same race,after running third to The Muse on derby day,has that slight handicap advantage over the former,and based on just that one factor she is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#3 Miss International Win 

RACE 4:A class IV race over 1100 mts 

There is nothing much to choose in this race,Ordered Steps a lower class winner by simply decimating the opposition will certainly be fancied here. The trainers horses always run way low the handicap mark,now to question is has the handicapper caught up with it or not ? The trainer does manage to have the upper hand on many occasions 

Aero Star is from a yard which is firing more than 40% this season,his second behind the too-good Grand Applause at Bangalore Summer is one to be noted and is the irritate danger here 

Then there is Sunday Cruz who by 'class' ratings top this field here,known to hit the front and quite consistent,has a good chance here to place,may cause a minor surprise too 

Talking about surprises there are two horses that can extent these three horses in Tiger Eyes and Sharp Witted,the latter especially has been putting in some good trackwork,has an upsetting chance in this race. My personal e/w fancy 

My Choice:#8 Sharp Witted Win/Place 

RACE 5:A class III race over a mile 

Barring an upset,Son of Stars and Shrewd Master along with last start winner for Mysore based horses in Always On Top are the three contenders for this race 

Son of Stars has been brilliant winning both its starts well,now gets the services of an ace jockey again and in this set with a step up in distance can hope to do well 

Shrewd Master won a race with blistering pace and then finished fifth in itsast start,is well placed here and can win here if it stays the trip,my personal fancy 

My Choice:#8 Shrewd Master Win 

RACE 6:A race for horses in class II over 1400 mts 

Cool Approach is a winner this season,had two listless runs in this class,a relatively weaker set this stands a fair chance to deliver. Not to forget the switch to top jockey 

Maddox is seemingly well prepared,has a decent jockey aboard. Has seen better days the only disturbing factor is the shoes,the upsetter if any 

Accuracy runs for the first time in this class,ran a belter of a race last start and failed to hold the advantage,low weights better saddle support and recent track spurts are in its favour,thus my personal fancy 

My Choice:#8 Accuracy Win 

RACE 7:A race for horses in class IV over 1100 mts 

Raaga,Interactive and Anmol Hira are the three horses that catch the eye first in this first,the last named has run behind a good horse and is the better of the three in my opinion 

Stimulator who is making its seasonal debut,seems to be prepared extremely well. Is a known front runner and moreover has the same jockey to partner,is my personal fancy in this race which wears an open look 

My Choice:#5 Stimulator Win 

RACE 8:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

Again a very open looking race,Supreme,Too Cold To Hold,AANCHAL BEAUTY and GUNPOWDER are horses that are capable of upsetting the top two runners in my opinion 

Both Ground Marshall and Precept look like the ones that can have a big say in this race,The latter especially has been in some form oflate,can do the trick here and is my personal

Fancy
