Monsoon Classics

Hello Friends,
The classics will start rolling in the next few days at Hyderabad,Mysore and Calcutta with the Pund derby mid-October,Equine superstars will be made and there will be some super flops. With Murioi and Starry Eyes not living upto expectations and the ride of Alandaiar and Amelia from the western circuit are see as signs there is no super horse yet. Will the western Indian trained horse continue to raid of will there be emergence of new superstars, time will tell but there is lot of excitement,in a couple of weeks from now the classics will take centerstage and it is only matter of time before we see new champions in all their glory.I am eagerly lookin forward to the classics not as a punter but as a lover of the sport and in anticipation of seeing another In the spotlight. What do you think friends? Will we see a superstar ?

Last year we saw Equine Lover showing that early spark when she annexed the Mysore 1000 guineas by trouncing the field and she failed to maintain the form in her very next race where she was beaten by the eventual Indian derby winner Super Storm, the monsoon classics also saw the decline of Borsalino after winning the Hyderabad monsoon derby it failed against Windstream during the Mysore derby. At Pune racing fans were treated to duel between Commander and Shivalik Hero (now Supreme Star) on the homestretch and the former winning by a short margin. There is no doubt that these races will build up the anticipation to the winter classics,The Indian Classics which is the Creme de la Creme of Indian racing calender, only time will tell dear friends. What do you think friends?

Will the upcoming classics throw up an equine superstar? I sincerely hope it does.
