BWM 22/11/14 Analysis and Selections

HELLO FRIENDS,
A card of nine races has been framed by the Bangalore Turf Club with THE ASHOK CHAKRA CUP  being the feature of the day,it has been rough weather for me at Bangalore this season with 4/30 being my Strike Rate for the season,am trying my best today too and lets hope for the best

RACE 1:A class IV race over 1400 mts

Although a class IV race, the weights have been raised in this div.III race.....

GOODWILL WARRIOR and WESTERN LADY both have an advantage of a run benifit in this track this season, the former ran on well covering up ground after being interfered and is now being partnered by a top jockey.... The latter had its share of bad luck and did well to finish fourth,as I believe in second lifetime improvement I am a little biased towards the former

Also there are horses like Style and Grace and Aayan who can be dangerous in this set despite the negative shoes...

However,Charming Grey the debutant is the one that appeals to me,this horse is seemingly prepared very well and should run a good race,an e/w fancy

My Choice:#3 Charming Grey Win/Place

RACE 2:A CLASS IV RACE OVER 1100 mts

GLITTERING who is a maiden winner over 1200 in her career is now running over 1100 with top weight, will her known superiority over the others carry her through or is there a danger in the race is ?

I believe that the debutant La Mell whose dam has produced some decent sprint handicappers and Hidden Deal although ninth in her last start, finished close to the winner are the ones that catch the eye

Tickles is one more horse who can show some improvement here and is the one am a bit wary of...

Hidden Deal, who has a recent race-run benifit in this track, change in equipment and shoes and also a switch to a better jockey with respect to its last run is my personal fancy in this race

My Choice:#7 Hidden Deal Win

RACE 3:A class IV race over 1400 mts

Maybe the trainers wanted to change the pattern, most of the horses with form have now changed to negative shoes....

I have nothing much to write about this race, will give this one a pass even in an academic point of view..... Let the best horse win

RACE 4:A class IV race over 1100 mts

Last start winner,Battle Empress in the lower class can be expected to put up a good show once again on promotion and as such cannot be ruled out

Then there is Legal Legacy and Stimulator both have met each other before, now the latter seems to be better placed and having an edge

Shrewd Master who set a fast pace while winning over the same trip at Mysore is working very well and is a top contender in this race

But Apollo Star whose win came in the same distance in the same track had run a good second on its seasonal debut, now over this distance I feel that this horse just cannot be ignored and is my personal fancy for this race

My Choice:#2 Apollo Star Win

RACE 5:A class II race over a mile

To be frank, inspite of the presence of two very good youngsters at the bottom of the scales, this race looks very open

Aashikara,Mickey Mouse,Mannat are the three horses who come into this race with reasonable form behind their back,Mannat if you trace back her summer runs stands a decent chance in this set and cannot be ignored

Of the two youngsters who are also stablemates its The Artist that may go to the post as the favourite, true both his wins before the derby debacle were very good and as a potential classic contender again, this horse can hope to do well

Have a look at Ace Badraan who after winning over 1800 had to face two races in terms company and now running at his own mark with John who does well with top weighted horses to partner and a preperation that seems too good to ignore is my chance bet in this race.....

My Choice:#1 Ace Badraan Win

RACE 6:A class III race over 1400 mts

Speed Hawk won with ease in its last start at Mysore in the lower class over the same trip and as its an youngster with form,it comes right into my contenders lost

There are horses like Vivid Impression (who is running in class III after clearing maidens and has a good mock race in its prelp) Millrose (whose maiden victory is still afresh in my memory, last run was bit out of the mark and is the dark un)

The race could be between Super Queen who won her debut in a fantastic fashion before failing in the Mysore 1000 guineas now prepared well and has a promising jockey in its back and Nesto, who has an enviable formline, fifth in the Poonawalla Breeders Multi Million and after that did not run a race for nearly 10 months, comes into this race with two mock races to its prep and if fit has that 'class' factor to take it through. The only thing is that the jockey is relatively new to the circuit,my personal fancy

My Choice:#1 Nesto Win

RACE 7:A terms race over 1800 mts

The feature event of the day has three classic winners in Wind Stream,SpreadEagle and Pursuit of Fame

and in most probability the winner must be from these three horses,SpreadEagle who is a winner of the Monsoon Derby at Hyderabad and a second at Mysore Derby is certainly the top contender in this race. As far as I am concerned this race is purely of academic interest and my choice is Spreadeagle whose run here will throw us a bright picture of what's instore in the classic scene if he is able to get out of this race as a winner

My Choice:#3 Spreadeagle Win

RACE 8:A Class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+)

ARCH DUCHESS after scoring her maiden win has been consistent and again looks good in this set

Salzburg who has a run benifit in this track likes this distance and has a good jockey to guide, the only problem being its jumping out of the gates which has been lethargic and is cause of concern

Love of My Life is a demotee with a slight negative switch in jockey, was fancied in its last outing and is working well oflate,a top contender in this race

Strombolite has done well in the past, last run is best ignored and is now sitting at the bottom of the weights scale in this race and is certainly a hot one here

Jackie Oh the last start winner in the lower class also has her work cut out,I will watch her run here although to be frank has a good chance

This seemingly very open race also has Champakali who has been consistent in its last two runs, gets the same jockey for the third time and as such is my personal fancy in this very open race which is anybody's for the taking

My Choice:#7 Champakali Win

RACE 9:For class IV horses over 1400 mts

SPANISH MOON who happens to be a same class winner despite being having seen again with a jockey switch which is negative is the one that appeals on first sight

The trio of youngsters in Azzuro,Rapid Advance and Arthurian are also in the fray, with Azzuro having a clearcut edge over the other horses

Rock With Us is showing out in track but has a change in shoes, better to keep an eye

However my personal fancy here is Azzurro who seems to be having an edge now whilst running at his own mark over the trip he had already traversed two times losing out to classic placed horses....

My Choice:#2 Azzuro Win
