Bangalore 29/11/14 Analysis and Selections
Hello Friends,
The Bangalore Turf Club is ready to roll out its first classic race this winter and along with it a 9 race card on Saturday,The following is my analysis and Selections for the same
RACE 1:A class V race over 1400 mts
The two top contenders in this race come in the shape of Above and Beyond (who gets a mammoth change in jockey) and Fortaleza (from a trainer who is not firing much but will have to be considered in this company)
There are other horses in the fray like Zulu Fantasy (but for the whipless jockey has all credentials to be considered here) and Ocean Park (who has a run benifit his season where it failed as a favourite and now over this trip can be considered)
FERMINA whose last run was quite decent despite being whipped a lot retains the same jockey, should improve to score here
Liquid Asset has earlier that is during the Summer season had run second over the same trip, now after listless runs with silver shoes, this horse after a run benifit this season gets a positive equipment and a positive jockey on board, thus this horse ticks all boxes in my list except for the age factor, yet is my personal fancy in this race
My Choice:#8 Liquid Asset Win/Place
RACE 2:For 2 yo only over 1200 mts
The first baby race in the Bangalore circuit for this season,a well filled field of horses has accepted to line up for this race
On the basis of Pedigree and Preperation the horses that come into my contention are Marine One,Areca Wonder,Garuda and Saptajit
One peculiar thing is that it belongs to two different trainers and ridden by two of the top most jockeys India could offer against the got-abroad jockeys.....
My choice however is based more on pedigree rather than anything else and it is Marine One,whose dam has produced two black type horses and if this one has class can see through this set,my personal fancy
My Choice:#4 Marine One Win
RACE 3:A class V race over 1400 mts
Another class Vb race this time,div.1 and again the field is dominated by youngsters
Tuscano,Hello Boss and Turf Tactics show out as contenders here
Turf Tactics with its last but one run's performance, jockey support and moreover decent preperation to go by is my personal fancy
Also keep an eye on Viento Plata who gets Suraj Narredu in the saddle, that is a huge switch in saddle support and cannot be ignored
My Choice:#3 Turf Tactics Win
RACE 4:A class IV race over 1200 mts
I feel that the horses that have had a run before has the best in Amanda against the lone debutant in COMMISARIAT,my choice is the latter because I guess that a horse that's bred decently can be able to tackle what is more of a class V set running in class IV
My Choice:#2 COMMISARIAT Win
RACE 5:For class IV horses over 1400 mts (4yo+)
Imperial Verse comes from arguably the best trainer and has services of a decent foreign jockey plus the weights are stacked in its favour and as such comes right into contention in this race
Have a look at AceEmpressJessie who has been ultra consistent and is vying for the top spot in the same class in which it had won in its last but one run
Also there is Amazon Bay who has this problem of not jumping out well yet has done well over the past and now over this distance merits serious consideration
One Of A Kind has a switch in jockey and is seemingly placed better in the scales vis-a-vis AceEmpressJessie and thus is my personal fancy in this race
My Choice:#3 One Of A Kind Win
RACE 6:For class II horses over 1400 mts
TOPSPOT has done considerably well in its career to reach where it is present right now, being ridden by a good jockey now and over an extended trip, this horse has all hopes to finish the race as a winner here, however its drawback is that am not so optimistic about this horse enjoying the step up in trip
There are two horses from the Narredu stable that catches the eye in Ice Storm and Veyron, the latter has recent runs and is in form and such is a contender in this race
Real Steel is running over a trip where in it had the better of Merion during the Bangalore Summer, thus on preperation, jockey merit and formline this horse chooses itself as my personal fancy for this race
My Choice:#4 Real Steel Win
RACE 7:A terms race over 1600 mts for 3 yo only
THE FEATURE EVENT OF THE DAY,THE BANGALORE 1000 GUINEAS
Eleven horses are all set to face the starter for the first classic of this season
It is quite an interesting race, because Señorita Evita the lone Mumbai import is a maiden winner and is coming into this race with a preperation that's hallmark of her schooler.
There is race The Fillies Championship Stakes Gr.1 whose form indicates what's instore in the future classics, say Alexandra Mills who finished second in that race comes right into contention here inspite of her poor show during the Kingfisher B'lore derby. What can be termed as a negative is that it is facing quality opposition right after its return to the track
Both Lucia who finished 5th in that race and Majestic Opinion (whose best run was 4th to Be Safe in the Kunigal Produce Stakes) have either taken it too lightly in their prep or do not belong here. They have both tasted defeat in their last runs
Pure Allure caught my imagination when she showed tremendrous turn of foot to floor a class III field on a rainy day at Bangalore, her subsequent run was decent in the Mysore 1000 guides but she has to improve to win here, her trainer is a master tactician and she will have her supporters
So is Remembrance of You who is bred pretty well on her sires side, her only win was a fighting one over 1400 mts and she has a decent jockey aboard, fits the bill as an outsider
Fatal Attraction was pretty prominent and ran green in the Mysore home straight to finish third at the 1000 guineas there, next run was dismal but has shown good promise in the tracks, needs a very strong improvement to win here
Take a look at Nuray, who had won both her starts in taking style while she was making early steps in her career, then ran fourth behind both Maisha and Be Safe at B'lore before a run which was marred by injury in the B'lore Fillies Championship Gr.1,she came back and won over 6f and advertised her fitness and as such she cannot be ruled out in this race especially when she has a top jockey to guide her
Smoking Bell ran well to close behind The Myth but failed miserable thereafter, this horse has gate problems and I guess it would be wise to look how she performs here.
Obelinna Princess as per her recent record has shown that she relishes the longer trips,Mysore derby result can be overlooked in my opinion
THIS RACE IS QUITE OPEN,ALTHOUGH I DO AGREE THAT THERE IS A CERTAIN AURA ABOUT SEÑORITA EVITA MY PERSONAL FANCY IS NURAY,BECAUSE SHE IS ON HER WAY UP AND SHOULD RUN A GOOD RACE
My Choice:#5 Nuray Win/Place
RACE 8:A class IV race over 1200 mts
BLACK ARECA and ANDINA have both cleared their maidens and as such cannot be ruled out despite the fact that they are giving weights here, the former due to switch in jockey should run a good race
However three horses say Haptic Star,Mandarin and Azzuro are in the fray and they should be prominent in this race
Azzuro has been running some good forward races, will the step down in distance help him? He was withdrawn based on some vet report last time out and as such in my opinion is a risky proposition
Mandarin is doing very well and has some decent form coming into this race,as the set is poor and as this horse has good form, preperation and Jockey is my personal fancy
My Choice:#6 Mandarin Win
RACE 9:For class IV horses over 1400 mts (4yo+)
Another closely matched race, horses with ran along with Cherry Hinton seems like having a major say in this race
Quarter Cask who ran third on that occasion seems like he is better placed here and as such is my top contender for this race
Suzey Oh is also another horse whose last run is inspiring and is my contention list
Keep an eye on Abba who looks like the dark un in this set
My Choice:#4 Quarter Cask Win
Have a nice day,gamble responsibly
