Pune Analysis and Selections 27/9/14

RACE 1:A CLASS IV RACE OVER 1200m (5yo+)

The better horse here without any doubt is St.Barts,it comes into this race after a gap of almost 8 months, the horse is seen in the tracks and has two gate jumps in the past, paddock looks and weights will be an indication of the horses fitness

The others have had a run this season,of them Flying Kiss the winner in the lower class picks itself as the horse to be beaten in this lower division of an upper class race, with a change in jockey has a fair chance to repeat

Sun Hot whose trainer has now opted for Yash Narredu is the immediate threat, the horse has run a forward race last time out and with the right intent can go all the way, again has a decent chance here

Barring an upstage from either Plan B or Speed Up (note both have a shimmer of hope,a shimmer is all enough in our sport) I feel this open looking race can well be won by the Antia ward Ocean Star, her last run was too good to the eye, although the numbers might prove it otherwise in the hands of a full jockey, now in the hands of an apprentice and a credible trainer-jockey combination oflate, this horse should relish the extra 200 mts with respect to its last run and score here,my personal fancy in this open looking race

MY CHOICE:#7 OCEAN STAR WIN

RACE 2:A CLASS II RACE OVER 1400 mts
