Mysore 1000 guineas day 11/09/14 Analysis and Selections

Race 1:Class V race over 1200 mts 

A div-II of a class V race will start the proceedings on the first classic day of the Mysore season. 

Dream Neo's last run was something that can be ignored as the horse ran into too much of problems during the race,yet finished a decent fourth and is certainly the top contender in this race 

Quarter Cask,Cute Beast and Our Commander are three horses that can extend the former 

Of the three horses Our Commander has a benifit of a forward run,a good last spurt and arguably the best jockey in the field 

Cute Beast gets a change in saddle support along with positive change in shoes 

Quarter Cask's last run is best ignored,but for the negative shoes can give a good account of itself. Keep an eye 

Our Commander by virtue of its run advantage and jockey support is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#2 Our Commander Win 

Race 2:Class V race over 1200 mts 

Again the same scenario,but with horses of better rating in this Divison 

Summer Sensation on account of preparation,weight advantage a jockey who is firing this season and a trainer known for winning these types of races is the top contender in this race 

Other horses like Silhoutte,Fortunate One and Tic Tac Toe (shoe changed to steel from Aluminium) can hope to make the finish interesting 

However my personal fancy here is Ruling Passions,who after finishing second in class IV,had two decent runs in class V at Bangalore Summer and now with a track spurt that seems suggestive,can run a bold race here 

My Choice:#2 Ruling Passion Win

Race 3:Class V race over 1400 mts 

Confined to Mysore horses only 

Cardiff City after a dismal show on its seasonal debut is prepared well and should run a good race here,naturally the horse they should all try to beat 

Peppr is another horse who has a run advantage and can neve be ignored 

However I feel the winner should be in most probability between Rosies Dream and Shades of Scarlet

Its a close call between the two,I guess Rosies Dream despite being placed negatively in the scales vis a vis its last run should be able to pull it off here 

My Choice:#10 Rosie Dream Win 

Race 4:Class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+)

One of the most interesting races of the day,Sweet an Smart who has a benifit of a run current season is racing some good horses no doubt,but is the one they all have to look out for in this race 

Arziki,Ace Mesmeriser and Go Green are all in with in a chance in this race 

However Mantra is a horse that can extend its winning form,with John aboard and being tracked well this is certainly the horse to be beaten in this race and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#3 Mantra Win 

Race 5:Race for class III horses over 1200 mys (4yo+) 

Another open looking race,wind and flight is the one that looks like a default contender here! 

However on account of preparation Air Tight looks like one of the dark horses in this race,better to keep an eye on this horse 

Then there is Champakali,which has ran second to Austin and has been working well and in this set looks like the one that can put up a good show here 

My Choice:#6 Champakali Win 

Race 6:Class II race over 1200 mts 

Emperor Cruise which has won the Bangalore Juvenile Sprint million and failed to maintain the form in its subsequent starts is the horse they all have to beat in this race,especially coupled with a brilliant track spurt it certainly has sound credentials here 

Wind Wonder's last run is better forgotten,over this distance in the same class has won very well during its penultimate run,the main challenger to the youngster in this race,especially with solid saddle support 

Cool Hand,King Julien and Sweet Secret are three other horses that can make this race interesting and is worth adding them in combination pools 

My choice in this race is Wind Wonder purely because I think the horse is well experienced and can make a race out of it here from the youngster.

Race 7:A terms race over 1600 mts 

The Feature Event of the day,The Mysore 1000 guineas 

Since the end of Bangalore Summer season,the form of Be Safe has held in the two regional classics,we now come to a race which can perhaps throw out a winner with no direct line that goes back to Be Safe directly 

The got-abroads certainly have a clear edge in this race as I have made out that there are only four contenders in this race and of them three are got-abroads 

Fatal Atteaction,Pure Allure,Smoking Bell and Super Queen are the four horses from which one can expect the winner. 

Smoking Bell came rallying down the Bangalore straight to score a thrilling win to clear its maiden status,now goes out with John in the saddle,the sire has already produced a stakes winner in Fly Like The Wind not so long ago at Calcutta and is the upsetter if any in this race 

This race also has Fatal Attraction now ridden by Y.S.Srinath,sired by Authorized this horse can spring a minor surprise and the chances are such that it all depends on the pace equation of the race,nevertheless has a slim chance here,do not ignore 

Having said all that here we are in a situation where the winner will boil down to either experience or promise 

Pure Allure is out of A Kentucky Derby winner,who I have researched is now standing at California for a moderate stud fee,nevertheless he has sired this grey sensation in Pure Allure,who has had a experience (rather bad) of a graded race,what impressed me most was his subsequent start in a class III race where she came sweeping clear from the rear to win over a sprint asserting her class,with her same saddle partner as that start on the saddle she is certainly the horse to be beaten in this race 

Infact she was my choice even before the acceptance stage while I was going through the entries for this race 

However,Super Queen who is our of Danehill Dancer of the reputed Coolmore operation is bred very well,Atleast to my understanding. Her maiden victory was impressive although what she beat was nothing of note,then she is being prepared at Mysore pretty well and now during her second lifetime start to win a guineas is pretty tough task yet taking into consideration the known class of this field,her breeding,preparation is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#7 Super Queen win 

Race 8:A class IV race over a mile (4yo+) 

Nations Glory won with so much authority that another win cannot be ruled out and as such is the main contender in this race 

With horses like Viktor(a winner over 10f and a live threat here) Seven of hearts (last run to note) and Cheddar Face (has a run advantage and a claimer jockey,well placed) this race wears an open look 

However I feel All Proof,who also has a run advantahe where the jockey is reprimanded for not persevering more with his mount and Bronzino who is racing after a gap yet seems to be better prepared in the fray,I believe the winner should be amongst the two 

All Proof was my choice when it ran last and I am giving it another go in this set

Race 9:A race over 1400 mts class IV 

This race is for Mysore horses only 

Murcilago has the services of the top jockey,has finished behind the too good Fink in its last start and may very well go to the post as an overwhelming favourite,my choice here is this horse and is purely academic. Nothing less and nothing more 

My Choice:#2 Murcilago win
