Amazing Grace ! Enough Said

What on paper looked like a battle if two giants,turned out to be an one-sided affair. Amazing Grace was simply too good at this time of her career for the multi-classic winner Alaindair. 

Wish more succes to the champion filly in all her future endeavours,will be interesting to see what her connections decide for the future. If she stays in India,it would be a great invitation as she would try to become the first older horse to win the now revamped Turf Invitation Cup,which is now set on the lines of The Prix Arc De Triomphe. 

Alaindair although defeated is a champion in his own right and will live to fight another day. No one can take away the fact that he has earned more stake money in his career than any other horse racing in the country now,as he is a gelding one can expect him to run the invitation come march,he will certainly add more interest to this race.

Many classic races to be run this week,The Hyderabad Monsoon Derby and the Calcutta Derby are two races I am looking forward to,meet you again guys with my bit of analysis on those days

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run?
