Mumbai Analysis and selections for 19/12/13
Hello Friends,
A card of 9 races has been framed, here is my personal analysis and my personal choices for the day!
RACE NO 1:A RACE FOR CLASS V HORSESOVER 1600 mts
IN ALL PROBABILITY THIS RACE LOOKS LIKE A MATCH RACE BETWEEN Mt.TIANMEN AND STARFIRE LADY!
The younger horse had finished close to the winner and has done reasonably well in its previous outings,is regular on the trial tracks and is the horse to be beaten here
STARFIRELADY although has no recent form,it is evident that the trainer wanted to denote the horse, now back to its winning class with a massive switch in jockey and to its winning track has a decent chance to score!
My Choice:#1 STARFIRE LADY FOR WIN
RACE NO 2:FOR CLASS II HORSES OVER 1400 mts (4 yo+)
Step Up with its great win in the lower class is the horse to be beaten here, especially because it is now running at a distance it will be comfortable with, also retains the winning rider, can it defy the penalty or not is the ?
Emerald Valley and Mon Ami are two horses ridden by top jockeys of this centre, the former may find this distance out of his compass and the latter stands a good chance here
Sumo who gm has matched strides with the best of his classic generation has put in a suggestive run last time out, jockey change from a claimer to a full in-form jockey and on that count can it sustain in the straight is a ?
That leaves us with Zakynthos who in its last run was made to set the pace over 1600 to SILVER ARROW,now with no such obligations and a change to a good claimer, has a decent chance to score over Mon Ami and Sumo
MY CHOICE:#3 Zakynthos For Win
RACE NO 3:A CLASS IV RACE 4yo OVER 1000 mts
Based on its last run and massive jockey switch Zoom zoom seems like the horse that will be a hot favourite here, this horse going by the two factors mentioned has a good chance to win here
BLIND DATE which is also putting in some consistent performances over the same distance in its recent outings can improve upon that effort
CAESARIA also likes to travel this distance and on its day can raise many eyebrows and so does its stable mate
But WINDS OF CHANGE which won quite easily in the lower class over 1200,now drops in distance and has a fair chance to repeat, especially as the last win was in open class V and on promotion is seen in an age restricted class, place looks moral but a small win fling is justifiable too given its early manner of win
MY CHOICE:#8 WINDS OF CHANGE FOR WIN/PLACE
RACE NO 4:A CLASS V RACE OVER 1200 mts
Sam (ex cornelian) is a horse that has changed stables, has hit the front many times over longer distances and now in this distance with a claimer in the saddle can possibly give a welcome return to its new master, but then it has to beat some very speedy horses in
Blush which now gets a top jockey astride and in this company stands a good chance so does Tropical Zone who has dropped so much down in the scales and now with Sandesh engaged to ride can make a race out of it
There are two youngsters in Brown Dynamite and Magic vision here who can prove out to be good too!
But have a look at Silverville, this horse after racing in February is returning track after a longish gap,has been tracking well in its recent spurts and in a field like this can make its presence felt
MY CHOICE:#4 STORMVILLE FOR WIN/PLACE (upsetter)
RACE NO 5:A race for maiden 2 yo over 1400 mts
Three horses form the Goldie brown stable in this race and Top Commander commands most of the attention here due to its trackwork and decent jockey aboard and the horse to be beaten here.
With that being the lone horse that is impressive from the debutants I feel the winner should come from either SHIVALIK SHOWERS OR AL SHAMSHEER
SHIVALIK SHOWERS is now under a major switch in saddle support and also has an experience of a run
Al Shansheer a progeny of the great stayer Yeats can make a race out of it,as its earlier run in the million it was beginning to make up some ground at the closing stages and now stands a very good chance of winning here
MY CHOICE:#1 Al Shamsheer for win
Race no 6:A class III race over 1600 mts
This is very well an open race has some serious contenders in the fray here
Of the older lot Nush although penalised for its second behind New world has it to put another gallop and swamp em all! But it won't be as easy as it seems as some very good 3 yo's are in the fray
Swashbuckler whose last run is best forgotten now has change in equipment and saddle support, this being the first ride of French jockey Louis Beuzelin I guess it is worth watching how this horse fares here
Of the other 3 yo horses Negotiator which is a class IV winner at too weight failed to run well over the 2000 mts trip last time out and the jocky had objected for interference, working well on the tracks and can improve on his last effort
WENTWORTH whose last run was eye catching now takes on a class III set after its impressive win over the same trip,on promotion here with the same jockey is the best horse in the field here and can very well win
But,the case of Rekindle is the same as WENTWORTH but has been pitched in within 10 days of its win and retained in the same class as it had won last time,it is evident the intent is to exploit the form of this horse and try another win, that's how I feel about it and this shapes as the best chance bet for the day
MY CHOICE:#1 REKINDLE FOR WIN
RACE NO 7:A CLASS IV race over 1000 mts (4yo)
It is pretty evident form the fact that both Bourbon Street and National Pride have run behind some very good youngsters in their previous starts, the race may very well be confined to them. Yes there is Arusha and the possible upsetter in Marengo in this race but I guess the race is only between the first two named horses
National Pride performed well in the upper class with the same jockey who is Riding now and on that factor alone seems a bit superior to the other horse and can win this race here
MY CHOICE:#5 NATIONAL PRIDE FOR WIN
RACE NO 8:A race for maiden 3 yo only over 1400 mts
On its last run in the open class IV Fabulous Florence ran well to finish a good second to Wentworth and on that count shapes as the horse to be beaten here
Feast Of Love who can spring a surprise and Summer Eclipse despite its inability win in open class V appeals here.
But if one goes by the trackworks of the horses Doc Holiday looks to have a fighting chance in this race as it has put in some good work over the last few days
MY CHOICE:#1 Doc Holiday for win
Race no 9:A race for horses in class V over 1200 mts
Shockalot the 3 yo is doin some nice track spurts and on that note looks like a top contender here
Pretty in Patapong Always Smile and Plan B are the ones from the upper class who appeal good here
Yet with Shockalot there seems to be good tracks and with a good jump can see this race through
My Choice:#3 Shockalot for win
Days Best:STARFIRE Lady
Good Bets: Zakynthos/Al Shamsheer/Doc Holiday
have a nice day,gamble responsibly
