Bangalore 19/12/15 Short Selections

Hi Friends,
                   Friday's races were decent enough and saturday's card has 8 races and here is my selections with comments,hope this is helpful to you

Race 1:#9 Rare and Famous,with a benefit of a run and also decent preparation appeals the most in the opener of the day,was up with the pace on its seasonal debut and there is scope for some improvement here

Race 2:#3 Saffron Intense,with a benefit of a run this season and age in its favour is the dark un in this race and is a decent each way chance,Flying Bullet has the knack of hitting the front and is another horse handy in what looks to be a very open affair not due to abundance of form but due to the lack of it.

Race 3:#6 Super Strong did well to beat a good field at Mysore and now with a benefit of run here against what seemed like very good company and a change in jockey warrants a good look in this race and is my personal fancy

Race 4:#6 Silver Legend was fluent winner early on in the season and that happened to be his second lifetime start and now over a galloping trip may improve and run another bold race and is my personal fancy,at least academically as odds would play its part to decide on wagering on it

Race 5:#2 Honour who is making a comeback after a long time finds itself as my choice here as I feel that being a course and distance winner and having good form lines may make up for its long absence from active racing.

Race 6:#8 Jackie Oh is placed well on the scales and the same rider is repeating for the second time in the season,Satellite who won well last time out and smilestone  despite conceding weight and is running 200m above its usual trip are two horses that look solid along with last start's surprise package Ethiopian. Jackie Oh scores on distance suitability and low weights,Renee has an interesting jockey but nevertheless at these weights and trip can be the surprise package

Race 7:#2 One Big Gang is hovering around with the 30+ rating for the last two runs and despite making a seasonal debut here looks a good contender here and is my personal fancy

Race 8:#8 Beyond Intensity who won on his last start can repeat on promotion as he has to beat a couple of horses in Mystic Music who is hovering around in the same class for sometime and Russian Link being another consistent performer in the fray is a threat too,my choice is Beyond Intensity purely based on its last win which looked rather easily achieved to the naked eye

Hello Friends,                          By the time this post gets completed it would be just an hour or two before racetime,anyways hope it helps those who could read it RACE 1: Multigory: won maiden race in his second start and has won class class 4,class 3 and class 53-79 races subsequently,the last two start winner has hit sublime form and is the one to watch out for Jeanine: A first start winner over 5f to clear maidens has subsequently won class 3 and class 2,pune has been a better hunting ground. Pugnacious: Has age on his side and so are the weights tilted in his favour,on class is a maiden winner,class 4 winner and class 3 winner,hence is the one to beat During the fag end of the season horses who are in form can hope to do much better and with that logic I feel Multiglory should have a big say in the opener Race 3: Forest Fire: A maiden,having second start in class V over extended trip with a + switch in jockey,keep an eye,fair record in class IV Sheer Belie

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in grade with a chance in
