Mumbai 31/12/15

Hi Friends,
The last day of the year has Mumbai racing and the card is decent at best in what can be termed as 'compact' in nature, here is my analysis followed by personal fancies and Investment Plans for the day

Race 1:A class V race over 1200m

Name of The Game is the first horse to appeal in this race mostly due to the jockey factor and also the fact that it is now getting demoted in class

Ame and Allee Bleue both of them are making their handicap debut in class V which in itself is a pointer the latter is well placed with the claimer, the claimer is a ? according to me as his earlier performances doesn't muster any confidence anyways is a strong contender and may give the lad a well needed win

Then there is Serene who is coming back into a handicap race with a decent run in the maiden class and with the same jockey and decent preparation can be the one that could spring a minor surprise here and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#5 Serene Win/Place

Race 2:A race for 2yo maidens only over 1000m

Voulez Vous who drifted/hung out after having a handy lead well into the mumbai straight is a strong contender yet again now that a second lifetime improvement can be expected

Honey Dew,California Dream and Cataleya are the three new-comers that appeal due to combination of pedigree and riders on board, the last named horse is out of a dam which has produced one of the notable 5f horses in Way Out is my fancy here,if it wins here good or else is one for the notebook

My Choice:#4 Cataleya Win

Race 3:A class II race over 1000m

Age and jockey factors make Maleficent which ran an interfered third against RuleDownUnder last time out and the horse which beat it for second place in Joshua as prime contenders in this race

Ravello has proved itself to be a speed ball and now with Sandesh cannot be ignored too, prima facie looks like a race that may go all down to the wire not to forget that the other three horses are no pushovers too

My Choice:#4 Maleficent Win

Race 4:A class V race over 2400m

Jordana and Jibuti  who are both related thanks to the the colors their jockeys would sport tomorrow are the two horses that one has to look out for in this race

Also Move In Time who ran quite a good race last time out with CSJ as the jockey appeals here

Red Fort has all chances of staying out the trip and despite being the first run this season is a live-wire especially over this trip and is a good each way chance in the median race of the card

My Choice:#2 Red Fort Win/Place

Race 5:A class III race over 1600m

Khayyam which happens to be a first start winner with a start to finish effort has been penalised enough to run in class III and is a serious contender here for two reasons,it is believed that horses who win on their debut are blessed with inherent class and the tag of the trainer always deserves a stronger look

B fifty Two who won in the same class last time out is placed well in the class yet again and can be the one who could make good of the form he is in especially with the same jockey repeating

Top Bracket won after what seemed like a benefit of a strong ride and with the change in jockey now is a decent outsider at best

Just By Chance has history of running bold races when no one notices it,better to keep an eye

My Choice:#2 B fifty-two Win

Race 6:A class IV race over 1400m (div-2)

Aurelio has run some good races in decent enough company to merit a look here,it is placed well in this race with Zervan in the saddle for this trainer can be taken as the prime contender in this race

Simon Says has the jockey change and also bloodlines on the Dam side merit strong consideration and as such is an interesting contender here

Flying Dragon on his handicap debut did well to run closer to Heather who proved too-good in his next start too and with the jockey repeating despite conceding weight has a good chance to break maiden ranks here and is my personal fancy here

My Choice:#2 Flying Dragon Win

Race 7:A class IV race over 1400m (div-1)

Kandinsky despite being a 4yo merits strong consideration here having a run benefit here as a favourite and also being a got abroad

However the race is open with horses such as Dancing Prince who also has a great pedigree on the Dam's side and is stepping up in trip now along with Japanese whose debut run was a notable one

Seahorse after running a handicap race with a higher stakes is running again in the same class over a trip in which she has won before is my personal fancy in what seems like quite an interesting affair to bring the curtains down for the day

My Choice:#6 Sea Horse Win
