Mysore 29/08 Analysis and selections

RACE 1:For class V horses over 1100 mts

A race filled with youngsters, taking on some experienced horses in this class V race for speed,as far as am concerned the best youngsters in the fray are Tbilisi and Fellisimicus

However I am of the opinion that the winner should probably emerge from the trio of CATWALK QUEEN,QUEENS CRUISE and PEPPR

Catwalk Queen has the best chance of the three in my opinion, the change in rider and the change in shoes must work in its favour

John on Born For Passion is no pushover too,but then the former seems to have an edge,Peppr should also run a good race

My Choice:#9 Catwalk Queen for win

Race 2:for class IV horses (5yo+) over a mile

This is a tricky race to solve,on pure distance capability the horse is Beautiful Life

My Law appeals on weights and Ice Kingdom also has a switch in saddle support to merit serious consideration

However,Brownie is the horse they all have to beat in this race, has decent form coming into this race and with a good apprentice on board, has a good chance

My Choice:#4 Brownie for Win

RACE 3:A class IV race over 1400 mts

A bunch of youngsters are seen running in this race, can be treated as a 3 yo maidens handicap, interactive has run some decent races and is technically the horse to be beaten in this set, more so because of the switch in saddle support

Cadbury and Green Emerald are also two horses one cannot ignore

However Hector is the horse that looks like a winner to me,ran green on debut over a shorter trip and is now bound for second lifetime improvement,is my personal fancy for this race

My Choice:#1 Hector win

Race 4:Class III race over 1200 mts (mys based horses only)

On paper, the most interesting race of the day,Bandito who is now on line for a hat-trick along with Divine Love and the failed favourite last time around Teri Adah along with Tusker who has shown out in a gate practise and now gets top jockey and positive show switch in this race can be termed as true contenders of this race,a winner can certainly expected from these horses

However on second study, the horse that interests me is Secret Plan, who after running behind the likes of Way Out at Mumbai and three starts at Mysore finally goes out with a change in shoes but with the same jockey. True that a change in jockey too would have made things easier yet this horse is worth a chance, especially when the race has such an open look to it

My Choice:#2 Secret Plan win/place

Race no 5:A terms race over 1400 mts

This is a graded race, has seven horses in the fray and again wears an open look here

The horse everybody has to beat is Ridgeway, this horse has shown good form oflate by winning a class I handicap over the same trip during its last start, has run decently in the past and is out of a mare who had class written all over her.

The weights it is supposed to carry against the most possible challengers in Winston,Duma and Keturah will prove to be its undoing

The two Mysore fillies are no pushovers, they have run some amazing races and Keturah appeals the most here

But then have a look at Winston, who has run behind the likes of Alaindair and Storm Tracker at Mumbai, after being sold had a solitary run at Bangalore where this horse finished behind Ridgeway, now has shown improvement in the trial tracks and a change in saddle support means this horse has a pretty good chance in pulling this off and is my personal fancy for this race

My Choice:#5 Winston for Win

RACE 6:A terms race for 3yo only

The feature event of the day,ten horses to face the starter here

Fink is the horse to be beaten in this race, sounds funny isn't it this horse has such a record (6 starts 6 wins) which also includes a win at Bangalore, had two runs in the summer season at Mysore and is spurting very well and is certainly the top contender for this race

Can Fink be opposed in this race ? I guess so because inspite of being invincible he is going over a mile against five horses, with four horses from the premier center coming into this race with wins in their previous starts

Two horses readily appeal in Super Strong and Del Russo, the former after a lung opener decimated the field over 7f in its next run with Yash easing off,now with a rider like P.S.Chouhan just cannot be ignored

The other horse is Del Russo, who has recently changed trainer and owner from its previously owner-breeder,this horse won exceptionally well on debut and going by the trial tracks seems outstanding in preparation

The other horse that can cause damage to the invincible is Booker Jones, after winning as a longshot on debut, failed to corner Nesto at Hyderabad, returned to winning says at Bangalore Summer, experience and pedigree are its strong points

My choice is Del Russo, who is out of English Channel and seems to be the one who can improve much further and get to the post first

My Choice:#4 Del Russo win

Race 7:For class IV horses (4+) over 1400 mts

Manta Ray who is showing out on the trial tracks and Motivation who has the better saddle support are the two main contenders in this race

Sissy Oh whose last win was impressive and Cannes who has shown some improvement in the trial tracks and going out with Srinath are the main challengers

However, the horse I think they all have to be wary of is All Proof, has decent runs, good trackwork and now in this set all the jockey has to do is guide the horse properly,is my personal fancy for this race

My Choice:#1 All Proof win

Race 8:Class III race (5yo+) over a mile

Shaka Zulu is the horse to be beaten in this race, running second to too good Arrogant Approach and then demoting now is the top contender here

Noble Reward with John in the saddle and decent form at Bangalore is certainly the main challenger here

And then there is Deep Blue Sea who after a long time is getting a top notch jockey aboard and with low weights is always a danger

Then there is Cool Approach who is now getting a change in equipment and jockey, has shown out in a gate jump and likes this track, thus is my personal fancy for this race

My Choice:#2 Cool Approach win/place
