Pune 24/08/14 Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends, 
                     Sundays card features a million amongst 8 races,here is my analysis and selections for the day,followed by my investment plans!

Race no 1:A class V race over 1400 mts 

On Theory,that is on paper the horse by the same name has only a shimmer of hope in this race,but has the saddle support and some trackworks to show! Can it run a big race ? Have to wait and see 

So Lhoste becomes the natural top contender for this race,coming from not quite strong stables this horse has a decent run benifit and is the one to be beaten in this race 

Two horses in Star Builder and Dishkayon can give the former the run for its money ! If the youngster fails one can expect a winner from these two 

A class V race,a youngster with decent credentials is moral and thus is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#2 Lhoste for win 

Race no 2:A class II race over 1200 mts 

Three horses will be more dominant in the finish in this 5 horse race,again a small field means messy pace ! Ultrasonic on its sheer distance suitability factor is the prime contender here 

Both Emperor of France and Jimbo are no mean horses,the latter is long due for a win especially because he has been putting in suggestive performances for long but never getting the result,hopefully tomorrow with a couple of horses to tackle should do his best and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#3 Jimbo for win 

RACE NO 3:A race for class I horses over a mile 

When Acclaimed made his reappearence on the Mumbai track,in my opinion he was far from fit,he dug into his deep reserves and his class had the final say when he defeated the likes of Myla Rose,again over the same trip should be the one to be beaten in this race 

The only horse on paper that could beat Acclaimed according to me is Falcon,who may be fitter than the rest and going the distance he relishes might prove a tough nut to crack for the favourite 

It is solely the risk-reward ratio that would decide the type of wager in this race,with the tag of the best trainer and carrying one of the premier racing colours,I would personally stay away from this race. My choice is purely academic 

My Choice:#3 Acclaimed for win 

RACE NO 4:A class III race over 2000 mts

On pure bloodlines the progeny of Authorized who is now switching classes from one race to the next appeals the most,and is the horse to be beaten in this race 

Snowing who is a same class winner and stepping down in trip (note:His run in the Indian Oaks is still afresh in memory) is his main contender

Mufasa has always been a threat in these kind of races and cannot be ignored 

Top Commander is receiving a massive jockey switch,going over the extended trip for the first time against seasoned stayers,won't be easy yet cannot be ignored 

And finally there is Fire Engine who ran a suggestive race last time out and is now going over the extended trip with a switch in jockey! Again another horse that can work wonders if ridden properly 

This is the most open race I have seen in a while irrespective of what the market fancies my fancy is the horse at the bottom because 1)last run was mighty suggestive and 2)A belief that sparingly raced horses are pretty dangerous 

So my money would definitely ride on the engine and hope he does well,on pure merit Belvedre has the best credentials to score 

My Choice:#5 Fire Engine for win 

RACE NO 5:A terms race for 3 yo only over 1400 mts 

The feature event of the day has 6 horses in the fray! 

Vision of Romance having run behind the likes of Be Safe and Quasar is certainly the horse to be beaten in this million,is working well on the tracks and has gone the distance before

However when one is encountering five other horses,of whom four have won their last starts it is quite a challenge,knowing pretty well that youngsters improve leaps and bounds 

The two relative outsiders in Zadora and Moussaief have thrown a new dimension to this race,the first named has a benifit of a run in this track and is seen on the spurt tracks working well and is one of the main threats to the favourite 

However SPIDER MAN whose last track spurt is anything to be believe and the manner of his last victory is anything to go by us certainly the horse that I believe can have a mighty say in this race

My Choice:#1 Spider Man for Win 

RACE NO 6:A class IV race over 1000 mts 

Three youngsters in the fray of whom all have cleared their maiden status,Hudson Hawk does appeal the most but the other two horses are very much capable of spoiling the party in this race 

However,my instinct says the winner is from the older lot of horses,especially between Antartica Zone and My Freedom. Yes Tammy Oh has shown tremendrous speed in its short career yet I feel giving weight is a problem 

Of the two horses My Freedom ticks the run benifit Coloumn and should be worth taking a chance in this race 

My Choice:#8 My Freedom for win 

RACE NO 7:A race for unraced 3 yo horses over 1200 mts 

Quite a tricky race this as the winner has to have the good bloodlines and fitness (preparation) to score here 

The overwhelming choice would certainly be Khaleefa who is tracking with a class II youngster and has the best jockey on board 

Square Moon also has the preparations,is it enough to score a win here will only be answered tomorrow 

However the horse that catches the eye is Attractive,this filly out of Dylan Thomas seems to be prepared well to open its account,however I do remember a horse of the same sire not meeting the expectations last year. On preparations it stands good too,the jockey is back after a gap and will be itching to do well on this horse and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Race:#6 Attractive for win 

Race no 8:A race for class IV horses over 1000 mts 

Trainer Lagad has two horses with good chance running here in veni vidi vici and Mateus Rose,the latter on its last run appeals the most 

Caesarina has a liking to this track,last run was good and cannot be ignored in this race where there is a lack of quality 

Then there is Fabrizio who can stun this field even with this work jockey aboard 

Purely on default and nothing else my choice for this messy race is Mateus Rose 

My Choice:#4 Mateus Rose for win

Hello Friends,                          By the time this post gets completed it would be just an hour or two before racetime,anyways hope it helps those who could read it RACE 1: Multigory: won maiden race in his second start and has won class class 4,class 3 and class 53-79 races subsequently,the last two start winner has hit sublime form and is the one to watch out for Jeanine: A first start winner over 5f to clear maidens has subsequently won class 3 and class 2,pune has been a better hunting ground. Pugnacious: Has age on his side and so are the weights tilted in his favour,on class is a maiden winner,class 4 winner and class 3 winner,hence is the one to beat During the fag end of the season horses who are in form can hope to do much better and with that logic I feel Multiglory should have a big say in the opener Race 3: Forest Fire: A maiden,having second start in class V over extended trip with a + switch in jockey,keep an eye,fair record in class IV Sheer Belie

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in grade with a chance in
