09/07/16 Pre Derby Day (Bangalore)

Hello Friends,
                       A card of 8 races for the pre derby day (BSM) with the BTC Anniversary Cup Gr.II as the feature of the day.Here are my selections for the same.....

1-2 Lightning Strikes,is a 3yo in this field who now gets a good switch in jockey and as such assuming that the intent would be positive can come out of Maiden ranks in this Class IV handicap race,a couple of Hyd challengers makes this race an interesting one and such the market should be open.

2-3 Shining Magic has been a winner over the lower class earlier in its career and it was with Suraj in the saddle and its last run where it did well to cover a lot of ground in the latter part of the race coupled with the fact that the winning jockey is back again makes it an interesting choice for me against horses like Honour who is going out with Blinkers and has always been in the mix and Vicious Circle should be in the mix for winning against an open age field now against age restricted horses on promotion.

3-5 Spiritual Act appeals the most if she has overcome her gate problems,thats a big if..... again Rocket Man on paper based on last run should be respected and the last start 1/2 in Tuscano and Just Fabulous along with Sea Dove all having something or the other going for them makes this a typical class V affair.

4-1 Ashwa Raftar although is facing horses like Shield of Achilles and Justice Angel has the experience on its side and with John in the saddle I expect it to run a good race here,eachway chance.

5-7 Avant Garde cleared maiden ranks at Bangalore over the same trip and has been running in Terms races at Mumbai,now going over the same trip as she had won last time around she stands a decent chance to redeem her wining ways. Alexandrite with John is another interesting contender in the fray along with In The Sunshine who has scope to improve after a delayed start to its career.

6-11 Satellite against the last start impressive winner in Shivalik Star and the youngster in Auriga and Starlet is my fancy,reasons being the terms of the race may suit it better along with a good third in the Patrons Cup,should relish the extra 200m...

7-11 Serina Ballerina has always been in the mix in its starts so far and it has an experience of running a Gr.I race and now has Suraj Narredu to guide her fortunes and as such she seems to be my logical choice in this race,ofcourse there is competiton in the form of a Hyd horse in Ashwa Ashoka and also Hall Of Famer who has also been exposed over a mile trip.

8-1 babushka won in the same class and same divison last time around and must be lucky to be retained here again or shall we call it 'placement'? must be running at very low odds and please make a decison if its worth the risk,for the heck of it thats my choice....

    The selection of Spiritual Act & Satellite are little intriguing. Babushka is in d2 by design and therefore is really a try horse.

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in grade with a chance in

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running
