Bangalore selections and analysis 10/01/2014

Hello Friends, 
                       Its nice to be back blogging after the new year,Bangalore's card consists of 9 races and here is my bit of analysis and personal fancies for the day,along with my quota of 10000 allotment for the day,from today I hope this will become a routine in my writeup,of all the benifits I wish it helps my own assessment of myself 

RACE NO 1:A class IV race over 1400 mts 

With all 4 yo in this race yet to shed their maiden status,there is a high possibility that one amongst them will be able to post a maiden victory. 

Abba which is making a late debut,seems to be prepared well has a good trainer-jockey combination and given the quality of this field can hope to put up an impressive debut.

Star Kingdom who is making a return after 6 months,seems like a horse that should be watched in this run here,on form and previous running style this horse appeals the most but abscence from active racing for 6 months is a negative according to me 

Do Fantasy also shapes as the contender here thanks to having a run benifit this season,reasonable good form.This one is the horse to be beaten in this race 

Prazsky which also has a run benifit,has earlier shown some spark in its career,if one goes by its preparations and a change to a visiting jockey,intent is seen and on all accounts should run a good race 

SPANISH MOON is the dark un here,keep an eye

MY CHOICE:#4 Prazsky for win (500 points)

RACE NO 2:A race for 3 yo maiden horses over 1200 mts 

NOTE:JOCKEYS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CARRY WHIP

Going by bloodlines and trackwork two horses stand out in this race they are 

Dream Star which has been tracking together with a class I animal,and because of that seems like the horse to be beaten here especially with its innermost draw to its advantage 

Nuray is bred well,dam is speedy and seems to be prepared well too,has a top jockey on board and on bloodlines alone stand apart in this set,thus is my choice for this race 

My Choice:#7 Nuray for Win (1500 points) 

RACE NO 3:A race for class v horses over 1400 mts 

On the outset let me tell you that on first glance,second glance and even third glance this race is quite a puzzle,to put it the other way it is an open class V race 

ROMANS RUN thanks to its form and the jockey aboard will get most of the support in this race and rightly so,on the bottom of the scales with a top rider is always a lethal combination and it is the horse to be beaten here 

AFFIRMATOR who was seen covering good ground in the last furlong when he raced over a shorter trip looks like the immediate threat to the favourite,especially with the trainer opting for a claimer on top brightens his chances as well 

Angel Queen ran third to in its last run and now runs with a claimer on top over an extended trip,has a chance to score in this set 

But one horse that catches the eye is Vega,because of its recent track spurts with a higher class animal coupled with a positive switch in saddle support,a chance bet and my personal preference for this race 

My Choice:#2 Vega for win/place (win 1000 pts) 

Race no 4:A RACE FOR 3 Yo maidens over 1200 mts 

NOTE:JOCKEYS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CARRY WHIP IN THIS RACE

Shaft thanks to its two appearances on the race track seems like the one they all have to beat in this race,has run well in its last race and was forward till got beaten by the winner,now takes on a bunch of debutants 

Pentagram,Countrys Pride and Scarlet Emperor are the three horses which look like putting their best forward on debut and Pentagram which is sired by Jeremy who has sired some good horses catches the eye on first sight. 

But going by the workouts the other two horses look good,especially Scarlet Emperor seems to be prepared for a good show on debut,and as it comes from a master yard my money will be running on it 

MY CHOICE:#7 Scarlet Emperor for win (500 points)

RACE NO 5:A class II race over 1400 mts 

The three four year olds will enjoy most support in this race and rightly so,especially Invincible prince who has put up some good and some bad performances is now tackling a trip in which it seems to comfortable with and being present on the bottom of the scales makes it more attractive. 

Solitaire Royale which showed excellent dash in the last furlong in one of its last starts at Mysore,flopped as a favourite here,now with the benifit of run hold good chances here 

Strike the stars which has a graded race to its credit is definitely the horse to beat here,if one goes by the relative company this horse has met and its previous record this horse stands superior and can give weight and a beating to the rest provided the horse is fit,and I hope it turns out to be fit 

My Choice:#5 Strike the stars Win (1500 points) 

RACE NO 6:A class I race over 1200 mts 

This highest rated handicap sprint race looks like a closely matched affair. 

Light of success which is on its course for a third straight win is now facing class I for the first time,can it scrape through with its usual runaway tactics is the ? 

Cape Ferrat which is now retained in the same handicap rating has a very bright chance,the horse is quite a consistent horse and with the same jockey aboard can hope for the better 

Then there is Cecil which jumps down to a handicap class I race after racing in some terms races and Nickel chrome which is at the bottom of the scales coupled with top jockey are also considered to be horses running with a good chance here 

After a series of flop shows over 1400 mts Jersey Shore was made to run over 1200 mts in its last start and it found its foot too late and also found Inquisition too much to handle. With some good prep work and a top jockey on board can hope to care better especially with its bottom handicap and top jockey combination 

My choice:#8 Jersey Shore for win (3000 points) 

Race no 7:A class III race over 1400 mts (5yo+) 

Supreme which won in the lower class with relative ease ran a good third on its first run in this class,now with a switch to a top rider is the default contender in this race 

Wrekin's last run over 1200 mts was decent,now switch to jockey John and has a realistic chance to win here 

Abbas dreams ran a commendable second last time out,has a good chance to improve on that performance here,especially with a good claimer on top 

The Western Indian import in King Julien is the joker in this race,working well here,can this horse handle the undulations of the Bangalore track is the ? 

My personal fancy in this race is Wrekin as it has put in some decent performances this season by finishing closer to the winner and this time in this set may get its due

MY CHOICE:#2 Wrekin for win (1000 points)

Race no 8:A class IV race over 1200 mts (5yo+) 

Midtown delight which is running here on demotion after finishing third in the higher class,is a serious contender in this race,can hope to put a good show 

Super Saloni and Gagan star both winners this season are also possible contenders here,the latter especially can upset with his runaway tactics keep an eye 

President's rule ran third on its solitary run this season,seems to be well rested and in this set can hope to score a win especially with Suraj onboard and thus is my personal fancy of this race 

My Choice:#6 President's Rule Win 

Race no 9:A class IV race over 1400 mts 

Red Admiral who has been putting in some very decent performances in the upper class is now demoted and with a claimer on top,can place and may surprise keep an eye 

Of the younger horses in the fray Southern Sky is making a return after a lay off,has seen better company 

Rakshita and One of a kind are lower class winners,the former has an outside chance thanks to saddle support 

Jackie Oh can be considered to be the serious contender as after its win on debut has been running quite below the expectations,with suraj in the saddle can hope for better 

But the last start winner Aashikara should defy the winning penalty and win again,as it is a same class winner and also retains the same jockey,horse in very good form too 

My choice:#1 Aashikara for win (500 points)

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in gra...

Mumbai Thursday races 12/12/13 a Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends,                       The mid-week racing card at Mumbai consists a compact card of 7 races,here is my analysis and selections for the day  Race no 1:Class V race over 1200 mts  Ancient Odyssey  which won its last start in the same class over the same distance now gets a positive switch in rider,as most of the field is out of relative form,this horse has a fair chance to repeat here Polar Zone  which has earlier shown some spark is now getting a guidance from a top jockey,has run decently in its previous runs too,no tracks are seen and that is my only worry  But one horse which caught the eye during its last run is  SHOWERS OF HEAVEN, it had a forward run in a large field with Dharmendar on top and was calling the shots until they crossed the 200 mts marker over a 7f trip,now with a benifit of that run and a switch to jockey,shapes as a decent chance bet for the day  MY CHOICE:#...
