Mumbai-Sunday 15/02/15

Hello Friends,
A card of 9 races has been framed for the day, here is my analysis and personal fancies for the same

RACE 1:A RACE FOR CLASS V HORSES OVER 1400 mts

NAZRANA who is retaining the rider for a third time has been running some races of note this season,in its last but one run it made was up with the pace while going over a slightly longer trip and on its last start recovered well in the home straight over 6f..... It's best performance has been over the 10f trip but the last two runs gives indication of a good show over this middle distance event

There is however the presence of winners over 7f in Dishkayon,Star Prince and two other runners in Reach The Stars and Golden Wave

Of this quartet there is a strong possibility that the youngster Dishkayon may losses a danger to them all

However due to the jockey factor, running styles and the age factor it seems like Nazrana has a decent chance and is my personal fancy in this race

My Choice:#1 Nazrana Win

RACE 2:A class I race over 2400 mts

REYNOLDS who ran a suggestive third behind Commander over a mile in its last start has been matter of fact been a consistent winner and also the vanquisher of the other two horses in this race and as such one can expect it to be the fancied horse too

Of the other two horses,it is Carsars Star that looks like troubling the hot favourite,it has been hitting the frame quite consistently in the recent past and with a clear paper handicap advantage over Reynolds and Okavango is my personal choice for this race

My Choice:#2 Caesars Star Win

RACE 3:A class IV race over 1000 mts (Div.II)

IZZARA who won on the Derby day a couple of weeks ago is now stepping up in class and going down in trip to encash its form and is one amongst the contenders in this race

There are three debutants in this race and of the three Babylon which seems to be bred well seems the better and also another contender for this race

However there is a strong possibility that Clouds of Glory if one ignores its last run ran rather good one in the lower class, now with Yash Narredu as its jockey again, keep an eye

Then there is Ensign who is taking on a handicap opposition for the first time, she ran a forward race last time out and lost in the fight after the distance marker, now she is entrusted to a Claimer and with good early speed should have a big day in this race,my personal fancy

My Choice:#15 Ensign Win

RACE 4:A CLASS III race over 2000 mts

Ellipsis (Miss Pearl) is a horse on form, retained in the same class and competing over the same distance as its last win makes it the top contender of this race, two factors have to be measured while judging this horse 1)A fully carrying top weight and 2)the penalty incurred for the last run for a stayer seems a bit harsh

Having said that the limelight will certainly be on Mystic Music who is bred similar to Southern Emperor who indeed is bred in the lines of Mystical,a maiden winner who hasn't won class IV running in class III creates little doubt to be honest, yet on breeding and weight advantage has a decent chance to deliver

Then there is Snowing who had put out a surprisingly good show last time out and with that can improve, can it win is something we have to see

This race is actually very open with Papillon who literally floored the opposition in its last start and Ace Fantasy who is putting some decent performances in its recent runs, the latter who has already shown its ability to stay looks like a decent chance bet in this race

My Choice:#2 Ace Fantasy Win

RACE 5:A CLASS V race over 1400 mts (Div.I)

White sox whose sire is known to throw good runners for middle to longer distances appeals first as on demotion it stands a good chance

Take a look at Admission who ran a suggestive race over 6f in its last start and sitting pretty at the bottom of the scales and Star Builder who also ran a very good second over this very trip in the last run are the ones to look out for in this race

Also take a look at Rapid Girl whose last run was nothing to note but is taking handicap class opposition for the first time with a top jockey on board

However the preparation and the decent runs of Pure Bliss makes it quite a natural choice to me in what looks like a interesting race on the cards

My Choice:#4 Pure Bliss Win

RACE 6:A class II race over 1200 mts

16 sprinters makes it a race that is both intriguing and tricky

Two horses who are sporting the Shapoor Mistry silks appeal on first view,Ultrasonic who has been knocking on the door has Keanen G Steyn who has been flown in from the south to take this ride

There are quite a number of good horses who can make a race out of it,but to avoid confusion I have two horses in my mind, both demotees and both have more than a good chance to land the spoils here, they are Rio and Wild Waves

Wild waves who ran a good race on the Derby weekend in class I,has now been dropped down in class where he is a winner at Pune getting the better of the too good Brynhill and then in this season finished closer to Zander and thus is my personal fancy in this wide wide open race

My Choice:#2 Wild Waves Win

RACE 7:A Terms Race over 1200 mts (3yo)

AGELESS who won drawing away in its debut and the lone winner of the three horses is the top contender in this race, true that she is giving chunks of weight to her adversaries and Christmas Eve in particular who ran a blinder of a race last time out should give a tough fight to the former, yet on what seemed to the naked eye as a decisive win should live another success

My Choice:#1 Ageless Win

RACE 8:A class IV race over 1000 mts (Div.I)

Zabarwan which led well Inside the final furlong on its last run over the 7f trip is now cutting down in trip,it lost to a older horse in Brown Dynamite,it has been subject to a gate jump and as such is the top contender in this race

Take Jolenee who went down to Nirbhaya in its last start over the same trip had tried two different running styles in its last two runs, with the now Blore based jockey on board should be in the thick of things

Then there is Zambian who is also subject to a good gate Jump, has a claimer doing duty and in its maiden races ran a good second over this same trip, now stands a decent chance

There are two horses from the Narredu stables in Statuesque and There She Goes, the former who is known for initial speed has the better jockey but the latter is in some good form this season

Thus it looks like another good competitive race,my personal fancy is slightly tilted towards Zambian

My Choice:#12 Zambian Win

RACE 9:A class IV race over 1400 mts

A 7f race with 20 horses in the fray,a double stakes race too

Soul Centric who ran a decent race last time out over a mile is placed well on the scales now and should be one amongst the top contenders in this race

Although there are the likes of horses in Targetmaster,Attraction (who is bred well and will look to exploit its early speed) and Queen of Venus (whose eye catching third in its last start) are in the fray

It is Apache who has been running some good races but finding one better in its last few runs should be given a chance in this handicap race, last run over 6f was suggestive of a good show over 7f and it had a decent jockey aboard and comes out of premier stables

My Choice:#2 Apache Win

DAYS BEST:APACHE

GOOD BETS:NAZRANA,WILD WAVES

Have a nice day,gamble responsibly
