Mumbai-Derby Day Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends, 
                   A well filled nine race-card affair has been framed for the Derby day on Sunday,I have picked only a few races and here is my analysis followed by personal fancies 

RACE 3:For Maiden 3yo horses over a mile 

MOGADISHU-Tracking well with class I animal,sireline not so strong over 1600 mts yet due to superior saddle support can posses danger 

WARPATH-One of the two got-abroads in the field and obviously the better one,good educational run and wonderful track spurts,a strong contender here 

SACRED FIRE-Quite an eventful debut,change in saddle support and bred well to do good over longer distances,tracking decently well and should be a front runner to win here 

SWEEP ASIDE-Bred well and may like the step up in trip,retains the same jockey and has a decent preparation to go by,keep an eye 

MY CHOICE:#9 SACRED FIRE WIN

RACE 5:A class II race over 1400 mts 

YOUR ROYAL MAJESTY-Winner over the same class in same distance last run,must be hoping fine cash the form in the same class and to do that has a positive switch in jockey 

DESERT WINGS:A horse which has been a decent handicapper this far,has a very good turn of foot and if positioned early which can be done with a rail-side draw can hope for a bold show 

POLYDENCES-Good Form before its start in the 1000 guineas,step down in class and distance coupled with jockey switch,strong contender here 

FIBONACCI SEQUENCE-Bidfing for a hat trick,running well over 7f and at these weights looks like the front runner to win here 

MY CHOICE:#4 POLYDENCES WIN 

RACE 7:A TERMS RACE FOR 3yo OVER 1200 mts


BOLD APPEAL-Arazan is picking up races of late as a sire,has been tracking well and appeals as a good fluker in this race 

COLOMBIANA-Was second to the too-good Victoria Harbour whilst making his debut in a million,with BLK ON and a change of jockey is the one that is the front runner for this race 

KYOTO-After a forward run ran third on debut,now over this trip which it may relish and a switch in jockey and better preparation,keep an eye 

PHOENIX FIRE-From the precocious Sire Phoenix Tower,did well after a sluggish start to finish 3rd last time out and has a good scope for improvement 

INTELLEGENCE-The lone got-abroad in the field,had a good educational run and with more distance to travel and a suggestive run is one of the strong contenders in this race 

STATEIRA-Good run over 1000 m where in it failed to collar the leader,now goes over a slightly longer trip with inform jockey and prepared reasonably well,a good chance 


My Choice:#7 Phoenix Fire Win

Hello Friends,                          By the time this post gets completed it would be just an hour or two before racetime,anyways hope it helps those who could read it RACE 1: Multigory: won maiden race in his second start and has won class class 4,class 3 and class 53-79 races subsequently,the last two start winner has hit sublime form and is the one to watch out for Jeanine: A first start winner over 5f to clear maidens has subsequently won class 3 and class 2,pune has been a better hunting ground. Pugnacious: Has age on his side and so are the weights tilted in his favour,on class is a maiden winner,class 4 winner and class 3 winner,hence is the one to beat During the fag end of the season horses who are in form can hope to do much better and with that logic I feel Multiglory should have a big say in the opener Race 3: Forest Fire: A maiden,having second start in class V over extended trip with a + switch in jockey,keep an eye,fair record in class IV Sheer Belie

Pune Races 08/09/2013 Analysis and Selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races have been framed for Sunday,with  The Southern Command Trophy  as the feature event of the day.  Race no 1:A race for horses in class IV (5yo+) over 1400 mts  Matter of heart,Samay Balwan and Star Builder  are the three last outing winners out of the eleven runners in this set,with the former being the winner in the same class and the other two runners are up on promotion. Star builder's  win was pretty easy last time out in the hands of  Dashrath Singh  now on promotion win looks difficult, Samay Balwan  just managed to hold on in the lower class,the same can be said of this horse too  Thus I guess the winner should probably come from this set of horses  Scaramouche,Zaracha,Guns N roses,Brave fighter   Brave fighter  ran third behind  Cypress point  during its only run this season,gets  Trevor Patel  in the saddle,placed well on scales here may spring a surprise  Zaracha  ran second to  Queen's kiss  over 1200 mts,running

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in grade with a chance in
