Hello Friends, 

                     A card of seven races withThe Bangalore Summer Million Gr.1 as the feature of the day has been framed,here is my analysis of the races and my personal choices 

RACE NO 1:A class v race over 1400 mts 

Summer Gold has the change in shoes,positive switch to jockey and working extremely well in the tracks,a long lay off from active racing is a negative,is it worth the odds ? If yes go for it and hope for the best 

Quarter Cask has run a creditable third last time out,now with 200 mts more to go and with the same jockey again,runs with a fair chance 

Then there is You're a Star ! Running at the seasons end after making an appearence early on! The important thing is that the race it is coming out from has thrown some winners,thus on that count plus the weights and jockey can be a good chance bet in this race ! 

My Choice:#12 Youreastar win/place 

RACE NO 2:A race for maiden 3 yo over 1100 mts 

Good Fruit,Our Little Dragon and Super Queen are all fancied here,the former has the best chance of the trip no doubt and all it needs to do is take a good jump and keep a forward position coming into the bend 

Then there is Actuate,who folded after a forward show last time out and Galway Girl who may have found underfoot conditions last time out unfavourable,both are capable of reversing their previous misfortunes,keep an eye 

But then looking at the previous runs of them,if the debutante is of a moderately good sort,can pull this one off especially when the tracks are suggestive of good work 

My Choice:#9 Super Queen Win 

RACE NO 3:A race for class III horses (4yo+) No whips Allowed 1400 mts 

Cool Hand who won impressively last week and King Julien who has returned to active racing with Active Grey who ran a good fourth covering lot of ground in its last start and Amazon Bay whose last two runs were decent enough to consider it here are the possible contenders for this race. 

Cool Hand likes to hit the front,hasn't won over this trip and that may prove as a deterrent in the end 

King Julien is back after a long layoff,limited on tracks can back on pure class alone,for me bears watching 

That leaves us with the two bottom weighted horses,the run of Amazon Bay behind Nimfea was one to be noted,has a fair chance to score here although must admit that Active Grey's last run is suggestive of an improved run ! 

My Choice:#10 Amazon Bay for win 

RACE NO 4:The Bangalore Summer Million Gr.III over a mile

The terms of this race is loaded in favour of those who recieve weight,here are the winners of the last four years 

STRIKE THE STARS 54 kg 

AN ACQUIRED TASTE 54 kg 

IN THE SPOTLIGHT 52.5 kg 

MAJESTERIAL 54 kg 

What was common amongst all four ? They all recieved weights in their respective wins ! 

That's a bit of history,for people who look into formlines,Bold Majesty who has run fourth to BE SAFE in the derby and Godspeed's run in the fillies championship will be the top two fancies ! Also the class factor thanks to Multidimensional come into play 

Of the horse that are recieving weight,SPEED KING who has a win to its credit at Mumbai,and his most notable run was finishing 5th behind BE SAFE at the opening weekend of the BSM and TORCH BEARER who has a win over 1600 to his credit are the ones that catches ones attention,although must admit that the dark un is certainly LUCIA who is better placed to Godspeed vis-a-vis her last run,yet the class is unknown 

My personal fancy is Torchbearer ! Won impressively over a mile,has the services of A.Sandesh who is known to pull off the big races,has the ability to show class (out of a mare who is an invitation winner,raced abroad and produced a multi classic winner in Borsalino) thus is a justifiable bet 

My Choice:#8 Torch Bearer Win 

RACE NO 5:A class I race over 1400 mts 

This is a tricky race to decode,as there is the prescence of horses who has abundance of class in this race,who are making a comeback after a lay-off,lets take Field Marshall a fluent winner in his last start which was 7 months ago not visible on the tracks and has the services of the top jockey,Southern Emperor younger receiving weight from the former and is active in the swimming pools,watch for the weights before the race,it would be criminal to ignore this horse in combination pools 

Then there is winston who has changed hands,a look at its history shows that he is comfortable over this trip,has finished second in this very class behind Alaindair,will he cope up with the Bangalore tracks ? And will he run well after being gelded are things to ponder about 

You just cannot rule out Ethopian although it seems to be outhandicapped here,and Sun Kingdom is a dormant volcano waiting to unleash,when is anybody's guess 

Ridgeway has benifit of runs this season,reasonable form shown in her last start and with that performance to by is the horse to be beaten here,and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#4 Ridgeway for win 

Race no 6:A race for horses in class III (5yo+) over 1200 mts NO WHIPS ARE ALLOWED 

What really impresses me about this race is that there is the prescence of Whistlejacket a previous winner and Wind and Flight who is running its second start of this season with positive switch in saddle support supported by good track spurts 

Then there is SANS FRONTIERS who is sitting pretty in the bottom of the scales and SCENIC BLAST who has come down a lot in scales at the top of the scales 

Take a look at Simpleton,after what seemed to be two disinterested runs the trainer has changed the Shoes to aluminium and has changed the jockey to Neeraj,is a danger lurking in this race 

My choice however is Simpleton,guess it would be better to cover my investments on place too 

My Choice:#6 Simpleton for win 

RACE NO 7:A class IV race over 1400 mts 

Both Vivid Impression and Sakchi are winners during their respective last starts,thanks to the claimer on top the former looks better placed,as both are taking a jump of 300 mts there is a semblance of doubt about their ability to do well over this distance 

Then there is ocean Park who finished a faraway third to Fairgame,the change in shoes and a switch to inform Yash Nareddu are the positives for this horse,not seen on trial tracks so please watch the weights before wagering on this horse 

Passing Fulcrum who was steadied and lost position last time out is tracking extremely well and is the horse to be beaten in this race 

REPUBLICAN STAR is bred well,last time slowly off and finished a creditable fourth,now runs over a handicap race,well placed on the scales and can clear its maiden status in my opinion 

My Choice:#7 Republican Star for win 

DAY's BEST:REPUBLICAN STAR 

DOUBLE:SUPER QUEEN-TORCH BEARER
