HELLO FRIENDS,
THE MAHARAJAS CUP Gr.2 features a card of 8 races on Sunday, here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day
Race no 1:A race for maiden 3 yo's over 1200 mts
Lets be frank here, all the horses who have accepted to run before haven't even graced the board,on pure form lines,to my understanding Cannon Fire has the best known form, running fifth to NEW EMPEROR on his only run
However,Helping Hand from Mumbai has been putting in some good work and with Zervan as the switch in saddle support is the top contender for this race
Doolin who is a failed favourite in its last run,is also showing marked improvement in the tracks and with DKA in the saddle,is a threat to the favourite here
And then there is Tuscania whose track spurts are very pleasing, the jockey is bit of a concern, can be the upsetter here
However,Fourth Dimension, who is running first time after being gelded has the stables first jockey on board,is active on the tracks and is one of the two got-abroads in this race, the other being Walloper.
An open race this, the favourite although seems to have an edge can be beaten in this race, and most probably from either Doolin or Fourth Dimension,as per the reasons stated above the latter is my choice.
My Choice:#3 Fourth Dimension for win
RACE NO 2:A class V race over 1200 mts
Breaking Away who is now running in open class V for the first time, has had a suggestive last run over a relatively shorter trip and its subsequent track movements show that he is the top contender for this race, add to it he is one amongst the two 3 yo's in this race. Can he win here? I have my doubts primarily because the stable hasn't engaged Yash Narredu who has been riding a lot of winners for them this season and second is that despite the pull in weights due to allowance,I am skeptical about the filly reaching home first. Thus I am seeking value elsewhere in this race
There are three horses who can stretch and get the better off the fav here,Ruling Passion after a lung opener now enjoys the saddle support of Y S Srinath,Aryan Warrior has done well in upper class last season, second run after a long lay off and is the hidden danger in this race. However Feet on Fire now seems to better placed here with the claimer on top,i am going to take a chance on this tomorrow
My Choice:#2 Feet on Fire for win
RACE NO 3:A class III Race over 1400 mts (5yo+)
Midnight Cruze who ran fourth to Castle Stuart in his last start now runs amongst rivals of his own age or above in this race, the bottom scales and a decent jockey aboard should help its chances and is the main contender for this race
The 8 yo Lads Gladiator is also in the fray, the stable had a winner on Saturday and they have their best chance of the day today with this horse, however in a class III race the age of the horse is a bit of a concern for me
Then there is Clueless who now gets a massive switch in jockey to Suraj Narredu,is the horse to beaten here, one thing to note is that the trainer-jockey combination clicks and more so with this horse
Optimus Zone has been the horse who was in fine form last season, has a benifit of a run this season and then there is switch in jockey to Trevor Patel, can the switch in jockey do the trick here is the ?
My choice however for this race is Midnight Cruze who by the virtue of the pull in weights should get the better off others
My Choice:#9 Midnight Cruze for Win
Due to time constraint,I could only analyse three races for the day, have a nice day and gamble responsibly
