Bangalore 29/6/14 Analysis and selections

Hello friends, 

                    Saturdays racing saw the reappearence of sprinting sensation Bullseye,in which she won impressively in the class I handicap,Sundays card has 9 races with The Juveline Sprinters being the feature of the day. Here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day 

Race no 1:A class v race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

As most class V races are the opener of the day also looks like an open affair,Oriental Image who has a third and fourth place finish in its last 2 runs now gets a change in pilot to Christopher,on its recent form seems like the horse to be beaten here 

Three horses Magical Filly,Shared Heart and Fashion Flame are out of the same race against BALAS DREAMS. With respect to their last run and placings Fashion Flame seems to have the advantage here thanks to the switch in saddle support 

There is Big Copper Penny who is also consistent this season,gets a claimer on top although would have been much preferred over a 1100 mts trip 

In this open contest,my personal fancy is Fashion Flame as I feel it can run a bold race now with a switch in saddle support and also seen in the track spurts 

My Choice:#8 Fashion Flame win 

RACE NO 2:A race for 3 yo maidens over 1100 mts 

Sakchi which is from a sire which is known to throw speedy runners has had a solitary run this season and on that run comes right into contention for this race,is the top contender for this race 

Oye Como Va from the stables of Dhariwal makes its first appearence this season,has positive saddle support and is tracking reasonably well,will hope to run a good race 

However I feel the winner of this race should be between Ghalib and Candice,both have been prepared well and the latter especially has had a forward run a couple of weeks ago,with change in saddle support to the stables first jockey,chances look rosy and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#3 Candice for win 

RACE NO 3:A class IV race over 1200 mts 

The two major 3 yo's in this race are Fruit prince whose last run was poor but is seen to be tracking well subsequently and Jeyems Spirit who in the hands of the apprentice will try to make a race out of it,can any of them win here is a ? 

Majorly because they are against the trio of Arch Duchess,Aero Star and Spanish Moon 

The first two named horses have finished first and second respectively in their previous two starts,whereas Spanish Moon is making its first appearence this season,with Suraj Narredu to guide its fortunes and good prep work seems like the horse that can pull this off and is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#4 Spanish Moon for win 

RACE NO 4:A class v race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

SMILESTONE is the one that seems to have the best recent form coming into this race,not tracked after its last performance and has a change in jockey is the horse by default here 

However Firestorm who incidentally now gets back to its last winning rating and has the jockey switch in its favour,has ran sixth to Honeymoon in the higher class,now with demotion and massive switch in jockey support has a fair chance to win here,again track spurts are not seen 

Going by the preparations alone Colour of Gold from the stables of Amit Caddy stands out,plus the seasonal cut in ratings and the apprentice aboard tilts the scales in its favour,and is my personal fancy for this race. Hope the odds are not too low for comfort 

My Choice:#10 Colour of Gold win 

RACE NO 5:A race for 3 yo maidens over 1400 mts 

Baracchus,Del Russo,Republic Star and Laurita should throw a winner in this race. The first and last named have run along with classic company as 2 yo and 3 yo's. Republican Star is well bred and should give a bold account of itself. Del Russo has been prepared extremely well but for the short of experience can do well here 

However the race should be between Baracchus who is now prepared well and Laurita. Laurita on her debut ran close to Shivalik Storm and Maisha,this got abroad has been also prepared well and can run a bold race. My personal choice for this race

RACE NO 6:The Juvenile Sprinters Million Gr.3 

Although there are lot of good speedy horses in the fray,I have short listed three horses Honeymoon,Carlton and Movie Mughal to throw a winner. 

Movie Moghul is from a sire who has thrown a speedy top class performer in Amadeus,has a solitary run this season in which it won quite handsomely 

Honeymoon on the otherhand has also won a race this season and is a got-abroad,the terms are very much in favour and will be the rage come race-time 

Carlton was a bit disgraced in its only start this season,earlier ran second to Maisha over a 1200 mts trip million on the invitation weekend,yes it is conceding weight to the rest of the field but has the jockey for the occasion 

Honeymoon has to prove itself in this level,of what's known of her she is very much capable but I am seeking value elsewhere,what better than a horse that has finished 3 lengths behind the classic winner Maisha and has the jockey who has won 3/6 graded races this season in Suraj Narredu 

My Choice:#1 Carlton for win 

RACE NO 7:A race for class II horses over 1200 mts 

SMITHSONITE and VIOLENT STORM are two previous winners this season,the former in the same class and the latter is on promotion now. Both have good chances to extend their good work 

Then there is a failed favourite in Amazing Redd who is tracking well and gets a change in jockey and Frenemee who is a very good handicap race 

Also there is Arctic Attraction and the dark un in Solitaire Royale who on their day can upset the fancied ones,for jp consideration 

However they all have to be wary of Valerian,who has missed the kick in his earlier start,given a mock race and a solitary track spurt. Has been very good over sprints earlier and with the weights and jockey capability can make a race of it 

My Choice:#10 Valerian Win 

RACE NO 8:A race for maiden 3 yo's over 1100 mts 

Anecdote who is having the best form coming into this race is now prepared well,can it win here or play bridesmaid yet again is the ? Which time will answer 

Sagrada also comes into this race with a fair form however its not sighted in the tracks after its last run and that's a cause for concern 

Then there is Faustina who is out of Holy Roman Emperor catches the eye purely on breeding,as the workouts are not much to read into bears watching here,don't be surprised if puts up a very good show 

Dream Star who finished sixth to Pippin now seems to be improved going by the track spurts and also the change in saddle support should help matters here and is my personal fancy for the day 

My Choice:#7 Dream Star for win 

RACE NO 9:A class IV race over 1200 mts 

Atmos who ran a good third behind the too good West Side Story despite giving chunks of weights to his opponents is the horse to be beaten here 

Jolie makes a jump down in class,should hit the front and the horse that can match strides with it till the end is the winner,would be a clinch over 1100 as the extra 100 mts would play a major role 

Then there is Major Atteraction who found Magic Wave too good in its last race,can is do better here is the ? After losing to an older horse 

Celtic Prince is a Mumbai raider,seen in this open handicap with relative advantage in weights,Royal Passion the horse that got the better off it did so by beating it over a mile where Celtic Prince was travelling well till the 2 furlong marker,now with rest and preparation in a handicap race has a very good chance to score a win,hence is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#6 Celtic Prince for win
