Bangalore 06/06/14 Analysis and personal fancies for the day
Hello Friends,
It's been a good start to the weekend as I saw The Investic Epsom Oaks Gr.1 on the Rwitc webcast and it was a great win for the Taghrooda who's the first crop daughter of Equine Superstar SEA THE STARS,with that memory behind me I have started to do my little bit of analysing the card for the Bangalore races and Asusual giving my own preferences. The card is a 7 race affair and here is my analysis
RACE NO 1:For 3yo maidens only over 1100 mts
The universal fancy for this race would be Blitzschnelle who will have a price that would obviously be too low for comfort, the positives are a benifit of a run this season and the distance suitability and the negative in my opinion is the jockey on board,a switch from Imran Chisty who has been in some good touch oflate
The stable also has Sagrada in the fray, who has decent form to go by in this race, the shoes are negative
Orca from the stables of Darius Byramji is also another connected horse to the favourite,is a place hopeful in my opinion
Soul Magic is one horse which seems like the only one regular in the tracks and also the value chance place bet here if any,the only factor against it is the jockey but with draw no 1 and decent tracks is my choice for place
My Choice:#4 Soul Magic for Place
RACE NO 2:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+)
Rumour Has It whose last win came 11 months ago on this very track seems to be working well in the tracks and with the best jockey in the field to partner him certainly holds the advantage here and is the horse to be beaten here
Both Little Love and Austin, come right into contention on that count and Austin in particular now seems to be enjoying great handicap advantage over others, with Yash Narredh winning 3 races in four meetings so far,can be a major player in this race
Active Grey is one horse who has performed recently well in this class, may fetch a place spot here or one should wait when she runs a 5yo+ race certainly the upsetter if any
Now it all boils down to Ace Lexington who has reasonable form while coming into this race, working good in the tracks and also has an advantage of a Mock Race, jockey switch from Suraj Narredu to Anjar Alam and I don't think there is too much to read into that, certainly has a great chance to place here and can win and is my personal fancy for this race
My Choice:#6 Ace Lexington for Win
RACE NO 3:For 3yo Maidens over 1400 mts
Although it seems like a two-horse affair when we see this race,I guess there is much more to it than that
The primary contender here is without any doubt Astrum who has had a run benifit, retains the same jockey and is stepping up in trip after what seemed like covering a lot of ground in his last start over 1200 at the terminal stage of that race
However Bold Majesty who enjoys what's known as the best form coming into this race, may make things hard for the former,he seems to be working well too with the only negative being the switch in shoes
There are two other horses in Right Dimension whose debut run was dismal but is expected to improve on his second lifetime start, out of a classic winning filly and Spread Eagle who is now working well on the tracks and with Trevor Patel to guide seems like the one having a good chance
I am going with Austrum who has a benifit of a run and if one takes a line from Azurite's form seems like the horse that could fare well here.
My Choice:#1 Astrum for Win
RACE NO 4:A class II race over 1200 mts
Eight Acceptors for this race and all either 5 yo or over for this feature event of the day.
Cape Ferrat who is now running after his third place finish on the seasons opening weekend, ran well and is the horse to be beaten in this race,Yash Narredu the new kid in the block will be guiding his fortunes
Amazing Redd who was beaten well in his last start now gets a switch in jockey and too a huge switch which can make the markets go all crazy about him,the bottom weight also adds to its chances
Then there is Icelander who is now back to his winning rating and also the same jockey in the saddle also comes I to contention
Then there are two horses in Frenemee and Port Blair who may very well change the equation of this race, the former is coming off a good third in its last run and the latter was found wanting in Arrogant Approach's authoritative win.
In my personal opinion Port Blair who ran some decent races in class I during winter season has an edge over the others here due to the weights and also the fact that the 1200 mts trip will be to its liking and thus is the value bet of the day for me
My Choice:#6 Port Blair win/place
RACE NO 5:A class V race over 1400 mts
ABBA and Fiorocco seems like the two horses that can prove to be a bit too much for the rest of the field in this race
Keep an eye on Nations Glory too
In my opinion Abba is te horse to be beaten here as he has decent formlines coming into this race and may well be the first Manglorkar-John winner for this season, lets see
My Choice:#1 Abba for Win
RACE NO 6:A Race for horses in Class III (4yo+) over 1200 mts
This is the most fascinating race to analyse for this day, because Azetic Star and Accuracy both last start winners in the same class and Arta who is now vying for a hat-trick are in the fray along with the enigmatic Albertino alongside Salzburg
Accuracy on paper and form plus jockey capability will be the market fancy for the race come race time,is certainly the horse to be beaten here
Arta is now enjoying the services if a claimer and for a front running free flowing filly like her,it will be suitable and may change the pace equation of this race
I would like to wait for this race and even if I'm proved terribly wrong about the chances of Albertino
AZETIC STAR and SALZBURG have beaten eachother in the last two runs, the scales and the switch in jockey favour Salzburg, thus in my opinion the race will be between Accuracy and Salzburg, will be a interesting contest and my personal fancy is the latter whom I think has the relative form, the distance suitability, the jockey and also reassuring track spurts.
My Choice:#5 Salzburg for win
RACE NO 7:A Race for horses in class III (5yo+) over 1400 mts
Note:Whips Not Allowed
Violent Storm now enjoys a huge switch in jockey and is running on demotion here,is one of the contenders here
So is Wrekin who is a known 1400 mts specialist and having a chance and that too a very good one in this race
Anybody who wants to win this race must beat Summer Sun whose track spurts are very satisfactory and with the trainer-jockey combination if Amit Caddy-Yash Narredu having done well so far can expect to do well in this race, and is my personal fancy for this race
My Choice:#4 Summer Sun for win
Good Bets:Ace Lexington/Port Blair/Salzburg
Have a nice day,gamble responsibly
