Bangalore 28/6/14 Analysis and selections

Hello friends, 
                    A card of 8 races has been framed for Saturdays racing of the BSM 2014,with The Patron's cup being the feature event of the day 

Race no 1:A race for class v horses over 1400 mts 

A race for horses in the lowest class,Conjurer is one amongst the three 3 yo's in the fray and the one with the better chance of the two. Not much to write about his previous runs,gets a switch in jockey and has a run this season can be seen as positives,as the whole field looks inferior this horse shapes as the top contender for this race 

Magical Filly who is a winner in same class and distance last season,has shown some improvement in the second run this season,as same jockey is declared again there remains a ? On intent,seems like the dark Un in this race 

Liquid Asset is making a reappearence this season,has been prominent in some races last season,on weights may give a scare 

Noble Princess has an advantage of a run this season,although the run was not eyecatching the track spurts after the run are certainly catching the eye,with change in shoes and saddle support,looks like the horse that can give a tough fight to the favourite 

My Choice:#7 Noble Princess for Win 

RACE NO 2:A race for maiden 3 yo horses over 1200 mts 

On its last run added with a switch in jockey support Glittering will be horse that can receive massive support and rightly so for this race 

Miracles of Life has decent form and is tracking regularly,retains the same jockey aboard and will be looking to hit the board here 

However the track spurts of Wholelottalove are good,with the stables first jockey onboard this horse shapes as a good chance bet for the day,however please note that the trainer has opted for a silver shoe instead of aluminium with which it ran last time out 

My Choice:#8 Wholelottalove win/place 

RACE NO 3:A class IV race over 1800 mts 

Court Dancer who is a winner over the same distance in its last start is racing some promising youngsters in this race,as it has won over the trip and now on reappearence is just a kilo above its last winning mark is the horse to be beaten here 

Of the older lot the horse that can provide a minor surprise is Ace Empress Jessie who has a benifit of a run this season and now in the hands of Chouhan must run a bold race 

However in my opinion one of these two horses in Spreadeagle and The General should do well,with respect to the running style the track spurts and the manner of its last victory the latter appeals well and has a very good chance if winning this race 

My Choice:#3 The General for Win 

RACE NO 4:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

Coolmore which ran second to Prazsky last time out seems to have the handicap in favour,as it is placed lower on the scales and has a top flight jockey aboard can expect to run a good race 

Conrod which gave its best against Nimfea gets a full jockey aboard now and is the immediate danger to the favourite 

Then there is Salzburg and Accuracy who come out of the same race and the latter now seems to be tracking well and can reverse the verdict 

Accuracy may very well give trainer Rajesh Narredu his first winner,however in this very competitive sprint my choice would be yet again Prazsky as the win last time out was mighty impressive added to that the horse now gets the same jockey aboard and is tracking extremely well on the tracks,can repeat its performance on promotion in my opinion 

My Choice:#5 Prazsky for Win 

RACE NO 5:A class I race over 1200 mts 

An interesting race as some sprinters who have participated in the graded races in recent times are now facing each other in a handicap race 

With Light Of Success,Whispering Gallery and Shivalik Star all out of the same race where Rock with U won in a start to finish attempt,this race surely does have the makings of a closely fought affair 

Of the three horses the horses in my order of preference would be Whispering Gallery,Light of success and Shivalik Star 

However the presence of an Indian derby winner in this race and also Chulbul Pandey who just finished a shade less than four lengths behind Nefyn in the Gr.1 Sprinters cup make this race a very open affair 

Add to it the return of the controversial Bullseye into the fray,from the stables of the top trainer in the country the horse has been prepared very well and is now being given to an apprentice who is growing in confidence,although hasn't raced for long has the class factor and can is my personal fancy in what seems to be a closely contested race 

My Choice:#1 Bullseye for win 

RACE NO 6:A class II race over 1600 mts 

Arrogant Approach who won authorotatively over a 1400 mts trip in the same class now steps up in trip and is the horse to be beaten in this race,to be honest this horse has sound credentials to repeat here 

The oaks winner in Winged Foot and Spanish Cannon who before failing in its last run had a splendid run of form appear to be its closest rivals 

However Potomac who ran a good 5th to Amazing Grace now gets a switch in jockey and is also tracking well,placed well on the scales and can put up a brave fight and may pull off this race 

My Choice:#7 Potomac for win 

RACE NO 7:A class IV race over 1400 mts (4yo+) 

Ace Shine On after its last average run now seems to be in the reckoning in this race purely on jockey merit and its recent track spurts,is the top contender for this race 

Irish Song who after winning by a street in a class V affair now runs in a class IV race with a top jockey after running some class III races,is tracking well and with Suraj aboard must run a very bold race 

Adriphos also seems to have some decent form coming into this race and must be there in the busy end 

Arziki now seems to enjoy weight advantage here,has been consistent this season so far and can surprise here if runs a forward race 

My Choice:#6 Arziki win/place 

Race no 8:A race for maiden 3 yo's over 1200 mts 

Air Dancer who ran a fair second to Supreme Fairy over a 1100 mts trip is now stepping up in distance and is the horse that can fare well here 

Then there is Vivid Impression who has been very consistent in its earlier runs in the fray,will be a minor surprise if it can win here 

Rock with Us and Orca seem like the other two horses that can give good account of them here 

However,Airdancer with respect to its last run is my personal fancy for this race 

My Choice:#6 Air Dancer for win 

Day's Best:AIR DANCER

Double:Prazsky-POTOMAC 

Upsetter:Arziki

Note:As The General has been withdrawn in the third race,my personal fancy for that race would be Spreadeagle.

Bangalore selections and analysis 27/07

Race no 1: A race for class V horses over 1200 mts On the outset this race looks extremely tricky thanks to the the form? of the runners in this race.  Mountain Train which runs after a long lay-off after its winter adventure looks like a contender here purely based on its track form,but as always its a lottery to assume if the horse after a lay off can put up a winning gallop just after returning or will it need this run? But it is prepared extensively ignore at will That brings me back to two horses which have relatively good form in Will still and Star of desire ,both have reasonable form and the latter a demotee with a switch in jockey has come down a lot in ratings  My choice:#1 Star of Desire for Win  Race no 2:A race for Class V horses over 1200 mts Upper division of the previous race,the field is comprised of many youngsters,here too form is not seen in plenty  Rubi Rey ,which ran in the upper class finished fourth to My Faviurite voice, now drops down in gra...

Mumbai Thursday races 12/12/13 a Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends,                       The mid-week racing card at Mumbai consists a compact card of 7 races,here is my analysis and selections for the day  Race no 1:Class V race over 1200 mts  Ancient Odyssey  which won its last start in the same class over the same distance now gets a positive switch in rider,as most of the field is out of relative form,this horse has a fair chance to repeat here Polar Zone  which has earlier shown some spark is now getting a guidance from a top jockey,has run decently in its previous runs too,no tracks are seen and that is my only worry  But one horse which caught the eye during its last run is  SHOWERS OF HEAVEN, it had a forward run in a large field with Dharmendar on top and was calling the shots until they crossed the 200 mts marker over a 7f trip,now with a benifit of that run and a switch to jockey,shapes as a decent chance bet for the day  MY CHOICE:#...
