Pune Season-Highlights

Hello friends,
It is only natural for a fan of this sport to look back at what had happend in an entire season and remember the highlights of the season.

An Acquired Taste-was the horse that went from being zero during the last Pune season to Hero this season, the favourite of last years derby proved himself by annexing three races this season including an Indian classic, kudos to his trainer Altamash Ahmed and regular partner Sandesh for such a consistent show, although failed during his last start this Strong Contender progeny is in my opinion the star of the season. Rated 130 currently, just shows his class isn't it.

Jeremiah-It is the horse that won two races and won a race at Hyderabad too and captured the imagination of railbirds, this horse after its stunning performance is now a top contender for the winter classics, his master Pesi Shroff and regular partner Zervan were both clinical in carrying out their jobs! Congrats to them

Antonious Maximus and Falco Nero both proved to be consistent horses for trainer Dallas Todywalla which enabled him to score a sixer there by easing him to win the champion trainer tag from Pesi,Pesi was active this year compared to last year and had nearly pulled off the championship from Dallas, there is no prize for guessing who will be the champ at Mumbai though as Dallas had once famously said Pesi will steamroll me.

The Jockey's championship wasn't a ding dong battle,it was Sandesh all the way booting winners at will and winning the champion jockey tag with a measure of comfort, but he had to work hard for that and there is no doubt about his,his rides astride An acquired taste against Ocean and Beyond and on Novak a couple of weeks are visually a treat to watch. His partnership with Dallas Toddywalla and M.K.Jadhav proved to be a lethal combination

The 3 yo horse that showed spark on the track and what promised to be a leading contender at the winter classis is Silver Arrow, just look at how the horse decimated the opposition at both its starts, will be a treat to watch at Mumbai.

Not to forget Stormtracker who maintained his 100% win record on the track for the 1400 mts,he had won twice this season over the 1400 trip and was clearly a champion on his own right

Trainer Faisal Abbas had some sprinting stars on show this season,Weizhou ishpingo Autumn rush Celcius to name a few,his record in the sprint events is phenomenal.

Looking forward to the Winter season to begin, until then meet ya
