Mysore Analysis and Selections 06/09/13

Hello Friends, 

                   A card of eight races has been framed for the day,here are my fancies and analysis for the races. 

Race no 1:For horses in class V over 1100 mts 

Six 3 yo's take on fiver older horses in this race,of the older horses the one that appeals is Small Made,has given a good account of itself over shorter sprints in the last Mysore season,if the youngsters fail can make its presence felt here 

Logically I am looking for an youngster to win here and shed its maiden status,of the six youngsters the one that look promising although haven't graced the board are Catwalk Queen and La Piperi

Catwalk Queen has the services of a claimer,tracks look good with the weights it will carry has a fair chance to score here 

But La Piperi seems to be prepared very well to land the spoils here,has the services of John and also the inner draw,has a bright chance to score 

I feel Catwalk Queen has a slight advantage here due to the fact that it has the pull in weights,and in my opinion if it can negotiate the outer draw can give a good account of itself

My Choice:#1 Catwalk Queen Win 

Race no 2:For Horses in class IV over 1400 mts 

In what seems a closely matched race on paper,Bounty Hunter thanks to its massive switch in saddle support to Suraj Narredu shapes like the horse they all have to beat 

The other horses that appeal to me are 

Gift Of Love-Pretty consistent horses during the Bangalore Summer season,a winner at lower class and has placed in all its three runs over this class after its last victory,now gets a good rider in Gnaneswar atop 

Vega-Has come down a lot in scales,seen better class tracks look good,but I would personally wait and see how this horse performs over here 

Alpine Shine-Winner on its first start of the Bangalore Summer season,faraway fourth to Ballantoy in one of its runs after its victory,appeals purely because of two factors 1)Has come down to its winning handicap due to the claimer on top 2)Has positive Change of Shoes 

Sweet Angel-Has done well in the lower class carrying top weights,its second to our love during the Bangalore Summer season was one of its best runs last season,has a slim chance to score may place 

Jewel Lady-Has shown marked improvement when it tried start to finish tactics over the same trip in its last run during the Bangalore Summer season where it failed to score a victory but finished a closed second,its only run in the ongoing summer season is better ignored,on the basis of its last Bangalore run has a decent chance here 

Thus friends a pretty evenly matched race this,my personal fancy in this race would be an e/w fling on Alpine Shine due to the above said reasons. 

My Choice:#7 Alpine Shine E/W 

Race no 3:A race for Class III horses over 1800 mts 

Barring any mishap to the two runners Perfect Soul and My Lakshmi one can say it is strictly a two horse affair 

Perfect soul had started its career very promisingly and had even beaten Murioi (off the track) early in its career,its last run over 1400 mts saw it finishing a close second (seperated by thousands of a second) to Paras Mani,the running style suggested that the horse may like more ground,earlier had finished fifth to Derby placed Charlartan over the same trip,Jockey John will ride the horse 

The other contender is relatively less experienced My Lakshmi who cleared maiden ranks on debut by scoring a stunning upset,later tried its luck over two terms races for 3 yo horses and did not make an impact in both the races,now runs over this distance for the first time,will be partnered by jockey Imran Chisty 

On first glance although Perfect Soul seems very good,I have reasons to believe that My Lakshmi will be a tough nut to crack,the dam of My Lakshmi is a classic winner over a mile and a half and thus there is a strong possibility that the horse can stay the trip of 1800 mts,also it is receiving 51/2 kilos from Perfect Soul,which may prove to be the deciding factor in this race. 

My Choice:#4 My Lakshmi for win 

Race no 4:Class IV race over 1200 mts 

Four 3 yo horses take on another eight older horses in this race,Cannes appeals strongly here but the odds are too low for comfort,of the other horses Oscar Sparkler which shed its maiden status in its last start has a claimer on top and should run a good race too. A strictly no bet race this. 

Race no 5:A race for Class III horse (4yo+) over 1400 mts 

Eight horses will face the starter for this feature event of the day,Sanatana which is sitting pretty at the bottom of the scales had finished second in the lower class in the last run,appeals here purely on weights,should place here 

Spirituality no doubt is the top contender here,gets the services of a hard rider.It appeals strongly based on its consistently decent performances in its last few starts and is the horse to beat here 

Brave Assault is also a consistent performer,its last runs are very encouraging and gets a switch in jockey to Suraj Narredu,had run behind Spirituality when both of them met last time when the winner was So fast,I hope this time this horse can prevail over the former

My Choice:#4 Brave Assault for win 

Race no 6:A race for horses in class IV over 1200 mts 

A lone three year old in the field is Lagoona,had run with some good youngsters in all its previous run,with an apprentice on top has a decent chance to score in this set 

The horses it has to contend with primarily is Something Different which comes into reckoning thanks to its second to Sukhmanee and now gets a massive switch in jockey to Suraj Narredu 

Haute Cole and Raaga have had a a mixed formlines so far yet of the two the former is capable of pulling it off yet I personally have my reservations on them 

Thus the line youngster appeals strongly here and should return to the winning bracket here 

My choice:#4 Lagoona for win 

Race no 7:A class IV race over 1400 mts 

The Guardian,Smoothshine,Saratoga Springs and Blue Star are the four horses that appeal here,the first two named horses now get a positive switch in jockeys,Saratoga Springs gets a claimer and Blue Star has the services of the same jockey when they all met in their last starts over the same distance,Blue Star which led the race inside the final furlong and lost near the post to Bourbon Rock is penalised by 2 points and on the basis of that run should win here 

My Choice:#6 BlueStar for win 

Race no 8:Class IV race over 1200 mts 

Prazsky which ran sixth in its last start to Placerville's glory is the prime favourite in this race,earlier ran fifth to Deep diver and all the four horses the three horses that finished behind had cleared maiden ranks,thus form line is too good,but I am at doubt about the chances of this horse,purely because its last run although it had a bad draw was too far from inspiring 

Thus it brings the other two youngsters in Cruise Clear and Sue Nevell into contention,the former is a winner in the lower class with the same jockey over the same distance,is penalised heavily for that effort although not impossible scoring a victory seems difficult Atleast in my opinion,where as Sue Nevell on the other hand is quite consistent (placed on board 4/5 in its last five starts)  and with a claimer on top chances look even more rosy,and is my personal fancy for this race 

My choice:#4 Sue Nevell for Win
