Deccan Bookmakers Colts Championship Stakes (Gr.3)

A field of 8 hopefuls will face the starters for what is the fifth classic of the mainstream Indian racing calender for 3 yo's 

The first classics were won by two horses Amelia and Alaindair who had one thing in common Multidimensional 

There are two Multidimensional sired horses in the field,Ambitious Reward and Scenic warrior,the latter started off slowly during the Kingfisher Derby and lost all its chances,latest spurts are good and is in with a decent chance 

It's stablemate Strike the stars ran an eye-catching race showing tremendrous turn of foot to swamp the opposition in a million during the Bangalore summer Million,the jockey on board has won 3/4 classics held this season and is proving himself to be man of for the occasion

Then there is Czar of romance who will be ridden by a local top jockey who loves the track,had started off its career very well and due to some reasons faltered at the classics,tracks show good improvement,expect him to do well here 

Then there is Silver streak who is having a mixed career so far is pitched in a classic by its trainer and has engaged C.Alford to steer its chances,on known form line looks difficult but not impossible 

Acclaimed may well be the most fancied horse in this set,no wonder with the absence of Alaindair he has the best form line to go by as he is the only one to have a classic placed fav attached to him,from the top trainers yard sporting the famous silks of Dr.Vijay Mallya,this horse will be the one everyone has to beat 

Then there are two other horses in the fray, 

Fastest Finger is the lone local challenger,after having a winless yet decent Bangalore summer,had an authoritative win during his first start at the local track,will be partnered by the champion of the local turf P.S.Chouhan

Arrogant Approach who was fancied during the Bangalore Million by many to put up a good show got into traffic along the rails and was clearly seen travelling well during the end,the very fact that the horse that had the better off it Strike the stars is fancied here means this horse based on that last run can very well match strides with the latter,with Suraj Narredu in the saddle this horse can be regarded as a good outsider 

Friends,a fantastic classic race this and if one goes by formlines Acclaimed stands tall but there are many horses in the fray who are unexposed at the classics,my personal fancy is a e/w bet on Arrogant Approach as its traffic marred third on its last run is any evidence then should improve on that effort and put up a good show. 

Can Multidimensional's run continue? We will have an answer by the time we return to the drawing board again......
