MUMBAI 12/03/17

Race 1

Red fort-same class winner, last start was horrible but so is the set here

Ritz-decent performer with respect to the set here it takes on,keep an eye

Roman Gold-Youngster and going over the trip for the first time,Dam is a winner over this trip and is the joker in the pack

Black jaguar-another horse who is jumping big in distance,Lagad known for such tactics but somehow this horse doesn't inspire wild confidence

Star scholar-young,decent runs when compared to this set and a huge switch in jockey, positive vibes on this horse

Close call as the field is small and we have only one winner in the field,as I said star scholar has the intent going for it and then there is roman gold who has the bloodlines to upset

Second race

Brynhill-same class winner
Brahmachari-class 2 winner,sprinters cup runner but ratings went from 85 to 100+ due to third in a Terms race,now below 100 in a long time,has a chance
Supreme regime-aged chennai return
Deep diver-class 2 winner, earlier ran quite close to brynhill in class 1 over the same trip, knocking at the door
Paramour-class 3 winner,class 2 runner,class is ?
Valentino-Cal return,discarded

My study for race 2 ☝️guess it's between deep diver or brahmachari, like deep diver

Race 3

Pugnacious-Same class winner
Vision of romance-old horse/not interested
Diashonin-Same class winner, upper class runner on demotion, keep an eye
Flying dragon-Same class winner
Makino-lower class winner last start,in with a chance
Volantis-same class winner, but cannot be discounted
Vice admiral-Lower class winner, same class runner,in the hunt
Glorious eyes-Maiden class winner, lower class winner,in the hunt
Pierce arrow-may find it difficult, has huge weight favour

Open open race, four contenders in Makino/Volantis/Vice admiral/glorious eyes

Age,class factor and the manner of win in last start tempt me to go with glorious eyes

Race 4

Sporto-Maiden class winner, same class runner, going 5f first time since September
Philadelphia-Failed fav in maiden class,Highest rated maiden
Tomahawk-not a winning jockey in my opinion,discard
Warlock-Lower class winner, same class runner, guess difficult in this set
Golden Horde-Same class runner and maiden class runner, one negative is being a backmarker last run
Petronius-Late debutante,same class runner thrice,good jockey aboard,keep an eye
Abu Al Bakoosh-jockey factor, may not be interested
Democrat-Maiden class runner and same class runner, first time over 5f since October, cannot be sidelined
Lilac time-Maiden class runner, same class runner, broke BV twice this season but in the hunt due to pull in weights

Open open open race !

Sporto for instance scores well on the class factor, only maiden class winner in the fray and is rated 10 points higher than the next horse and is running in div-2,placement is good

Philadelphia-Maiden class runner up,stumbled last start and a highest rated maiden, second run after long lay-off,can improve here

Petronius-Second run in 5f race, nice prep after last run,Neeraj repeating, good value in this race I reckon

Lilac Time-has clocked the fastest time amongst the three maidens in my study and goes with a minimum weight, can upset

Race 5

Brooklyn bridge-one run, nothing much to note
Solo mission-last run in terms million over 1200m,backmarker

Xoxo-debutante out of a dam called Cozumel, may not find distance out of range, keep an eye

Aloha-another debutant,out of a dam called Gruezi,who is a graded performer,keep an eye

Anniversary girl-discounted due to jockey factor

Cereado-looks like a got abroad, three runs twice second and last run in a graded million on derby day behind the eventual PBMM winner, makes it a good thing here

Emotionless-Three runs with last run in a million, jockey is a ? Was a front runner last time out, joker in the pack ?

Magical script-have to see what she does here, not in my study

Another interesting race, end of the day I think it is between the odds on fav in Cerrado and a good type debutant in Aloha, the former has an edge only due to experience, don't be surprised if the latter does well here

Race 6

Eigers tiger-Same class winner,Higher class runner over 9f on demotion

Flashing Honour-Lower class winner, same class winner, same class runner, not in the zone

Daydreamer-lower class winner,same class runner last start,backmarker

Brazos-Lower class winner last start, steps up in class and trip, has a chance

Danse debonaire-Old in tooth, not here in my view

Sussex pride-lower class winner, same class runner last start, stepping up in trip, can do well

Thor of Asgard-lower class runner last start, still a maiden, has the pull in weights,a contender for sure

Koal and Windohek-not here in my opinion but both are not discards right away,if you like them give them a deep thought

Eigers Tiger/Brazos/Sussex pride/Thor of Asgard ! Makes it another interesting race,on further scrutiny I have brought down the contenders to Eigers tiger and Sussex pride and going by the class hierarchy of having benefit of class iii runs,ET gets my first pick

Race 7

Alaindair-doesn't seem to be his former self, add travel and running within a week to the equation, looks difficult if not impossible

B fifty two-nice winner last time out playing the start to finish tact, untested over this trip and terms are a bit tougher this time out

Cameron-can stay the trip for sure, has been in the Terms category for long, keep an eye

Veronese-may find the going tough at Bombay, let's keep her out of the picture

Jack Frost-Has a chance given the terms of the race, but then again distance is a cause of concern

Commodore-Has all the chances here due to the weight factor, keep an eye

A very interesting race and I have opted for a horse who isn't the best if one goes by class hierarchy but is well placed thanks to the terms of the race in Commodore,Cameron lost to jersey wonder last time out doesn't make much of an impression and with a tired Alaindair and horses like Jack Frost and Bfiftytwo with ? about distance factor I'm left with commodore

Race 8

Motherland-Maiden class winner, same class winner, higher class runner and same class runner again, definitely in the hunt

Good thing-lay off is an issue, otherwise is a contender

Snow crystal-backmarker in last two runs, need to see how she shapes here

Gran paradiso-same class winner and that ain't a good thing for dig-1,but the claimer can make it go close

El tycoon-Ran well with positive intent last time out, again should see if 5f is sharp or not,on class has a chance being a maiden class winner

Fabio-backmarker last start only silver lining is that it is coming back to its winning trip

Riot of colors-lower class winner, higher class runner, recent form not encouraging

Divine Magic-Joker in the pack, keep an eye

Royal ace-Backmarker,not here

Royal blood-no good evidence for a improved show

Dibrovnik-maiden class runner up,huge switch in jockey, carrying lower weights,a contender for sure

Motherland looks good on class hierarchy but not invincible as it is a filly carrying top weight,so I'm tempted to look at Dubrovnik who I think has a decent chance to win and a good chance to place and the most sensible thing to do is go for an each way chance to close the day

Have a good day 👍
