Hello friends,
The friday card for Bangalore consists of 9 races with The Karnataka Police Cup as the feature of the day,here are my selections with comments.
Race 1:#2 Colorato,who has been subject to change in ownership and also stable is prepared well and may run a good race here with a P.S.Chouhan on board,it has run a forward race when the now classic winner Brilliant Cut cleared his maidens at Mysore and on that note stands a decent chance if odds are not too low
Race 2:#7 Common Wealth,appeals here due to three reasons,now being a got-abroad may be this horse could be precocious,second is that its trial performances are encouraging with the same jockey who is slated to ride her and the third is the jockey himself who is declared to ride here may be overweight but then despite of that fact the trainer opting for his first jockey means the intent is positive and as such is my personal fancy,an each way chance depending upon the odds.
Race 3:#3 Sharpshooter,who has gone upto a mile in the upper class is dropping down in class and trip and is placed well to run a good one in this class,a change of rider to Arshad Alam who is good combing with this trainer also tilts my vote in his favour in what is otherwise quite an open affair
Race 4:#10 Major Attraction,who is a winner over the same trip is now back to its winning rating and with two runs this season is a decent chance in the fourth of the day,the race wears an open look with recent winners of class V seen here in abundance and may look to cash in on form
Race 5:#7 Fresh Start,who has always been a gritty customer over the 7f trip is taking on what seems on paper good competition but is well placed in the scales and is the one to look out for here,keep an eye on Soviet Union whom i think is a danger,nevertheless Fresh Start has a decent chance to score her in my view.
Race 6:#12 Supreme Dominator,who is now getting back to his winning trip and is getting back his winning jockey is a decent if not good chance in the feature of the day,last run was encouraging and with that benefit can hope to do his best over his pet trip
Race 7:#3 Hidden Hero,looks like the hidden horse in this group primarily because of it last start start to finish attempt over 7f and now back to its winning distance is a decent chance
Race 8:#3 Priority,who won on Christmas day making all the running is placed well yet again in the handicap scales and is a strong chance in the course of the day especially with respect to the field and the fact that the winning jockey is riding again
Race 9:#12 German Guide,who after framing on the board twice this season is taking on what seems like a very open field in the race that would bring the curtains down for the day,has won over 7f before and last run over 6f is encouraging and as such is a good each way chance
