Mumbai Sunday 26/04/2015 Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends,
The Mumbai Season has reached its climax  A card of 9 races with the last four races to be held under lights, here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day.

Race 1:A class v race over 1400m

Nigella which almost made it in its last start over a mile is facing a same class of opposition here and the drop in distance with its new running style should possibly suit and is one of the main contenders here.

Star Builder is a winner over the same trip at Pune season 2013,hasn't won since then and is now getting the top jockey of the season onboard, being the same distance winner in a set like this may come in handy, keep an eye

of the youngsters the pick is Awesome Knight followed by Arsenal, the former based on jockey support and preparations should run a good race, the only concern is distance suitability

Star Benevolent has run its best race over this very trip last year, has been running some decent races in the lower class and its last track spurt is suggestive of a good performance and as such keep an eye.

The opener seems to be quite an open race,my personal fancy here is a chance on Star Benevolent whose previous runs are decent enough and with good preparation can do it here

My Choice:#8 Star Benevolent Win

Race 2:A class I race over 1400m

Maximus on account of its third in a terms race last time out and being a classic winner himself is the best horse on class coming into this race, has over 6f and 8f and is now having a realistic chance to score over 7f

Of its contenders, although Mykonos is tracking extremely well and is having a top jockey at the bottom of the scales,Moon Shadow,Star Trainer and Papakura are all distance specialists

Of the three on closer scrutiny i feel that Star Trainer despite its age has a good chance of reviving its winning form more so due to the horse running a decent last race and is now running a race which could may well turn out to be tailor made for him

My Choice:#3 Star Trainer Win

Race 3:A class V race over 1400m

The presence of 4yo's are overwhelming in this race and hope that Sindbaad whose style of running does suggest fro good in this drop in trip doesn't spoil the party of youngsters

of the youngsters the possible contenders can be Coley,Aleta,Pure Bliss and True Heir

This is another open race with all the four having fair chances to land the spoils here,my choice however is Aleta who has done well over this trip in maiden class, has changed stables after that but has been prepared quite well here and can give a good account of himself

My Choice:#4 Aleta Win/Place

Race 4:A Terms race for 3yo over 1400m

Dancing Lord won as a shocker on debut over 6f,is the default contender in this race as 3yo winners generally tend to perform well when pitched against maidens

of the three other horses,Sweeping Star was a fancied runner when it lost to Abigail and the jockey even tried winning the race on objection, although there are no tracks after that run should be right in contention here

of the other two horses Warpath comes from the champions yard, this horse has been gelded and is now running with an equipment change, the lone got-abroad in the field should not be taken lightly

Pink Panther is a debutant and has been prepared very well by its trainer, thus in a race like this I would like to fancy the unknown to come out and run a good one

My Choice:#2 Pink Panther Win

Race 5:A class IV race over 1800m

Magic In The Air ran a good race over the 8f trip against Toofan last time out and being a 4yo non-winner this horse is placed well on the scales too and is the top contender in this race

The presence of horses who have gone longer trips in Danse Debonaire,Lhotse,Marcos,Ad Astra etc certainly adds a very competitive element to the race

Magic In The Air is well placed on the scales and has a very decent run last time out and as such is my personal fancy

My Choice:#8 Magic In The Air Win

Race 6:A class V race over 1200m

Note:No Whips Allowed

Zafirah,Super Bolt,Chlobud and Kickboxer are the four horses that can hit the front and in a race like this the pace scenario will decide the fate of the race

of the four horses,Super Bolt won its last start over 7f on the track but lost out due to objection and now with a change in jockey should be in contention

Chlobud ran a good race sitting with the pace while finishing third in its last start against In My Life and the horse due to its gate manners has been given some GP's and as such is prepared well

Both Kickboxer and Zafirah have an advantage of running under the lights, the latter ran a very good race agains Zarar and is now coming back to its winning trip whereas the former had a good lead while coming into the straight and lost it from there,on his penultimate start Kickboxer with the same jockey who is riding today ran a very good race and cut good fractions where the winner was Zafirah. Now I believe that Kickboxer is better placed and should run a bold race,my personal fancy

My Choice:#2 Kickboxer Win

Race 7:A race for 3yo Maidens over 1200m

With horses who have had a run not impressing too much there is a strong possibility that the winner will emerge from one of the many debutants in this race

Traherne,Benezeer,Miracle of Love and Speed Of Sound seem to be the four main contenders in this race

Miracle Of Love coming from the leading yard will garner major sport more so because top jockey is in duty too

of the other three horses Speed of Sound seems to be prepared well and has a fair chance against the favourite in my opinion,my personal fancy

My Choice:#12 Speed of Sound Win

Race 8:A race for 3yo Maidens over 1200m

Aliboxer and Itscaro due to their decent runs and jockeys aboard should be the two main contenders in this race, the latter has an edge of the two

Going through the preparations of horses,Jacq and Enthralling seems to be better prepared, the latter especially has been prepared very well and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#10 Enthralling Win

Race 9:A class III race over 1200m

Peptio, who has won two starts in the same trip is trying to win again in this set with the winning jockey partnering again

Quest For Love and Top Trainer both wearing the same colours have two top most jockeys to ride them, the latter although coming into this race has been prepared extremely well and should be in the thick of things here

Gold Bag won his last race last week quite easily,is placed well on promotion and has an advantage of being a winner under lights, keep an eye

Top Trainer has been prepared very well and should run a very good race here and as such is my personal fancy

My Choice:#11 Top Trainer Win

Day's Best:Magic In The Air

Good Bets:Pink Panther,Top Trainer

Have a nice day,Invest Responsibly
