Bangalore 29/6/14 Analysis and selections

Hello friends,                       Saturdays racing saw the reappearence of sprinting sensation  Bullseye ,in which she won impressively in the class I handicap,Sundays card has 9 races with  The Juveline Sprinters  being the feature of the day. Here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day  Race no 1:A class v race over 1200 mts (4yo+)  As most class V races are the opener of the day also looks like an open affair, Oriental Image  who has a third and fourth place finish in its last 2 runs now gets a change in pilot to  Christopher ,on its recent form seems like the horse to be beaten here  Three horses  Magical Filly,Shared Heart and Fashion Flame  are out of the same race against  BALAS DREAMS . With respect to their last run and placings  Fashion Flame  seems to have the advantage here thanks to the switch in saddle support  There is  Big Cop...

Bangalore 28/6/14 Analysis and selections

Hello friends,                      A card of 8 races has been framed for Saturdays racing of the BSM 2014,with The Patron's cup being the feature event of the day  Race no 1:A race for class v horses over 1400 mts  A race for horses in the lowest class, Conjurer is one amongst the three 3 yo's in the fray and the one with the better chance of the two. Not much to write about his previous runs, gets a switch in jockey and has a run this season can be seen as positives,as the whole field looks inferior this horse shapes as the top contender for this race  Magical Filly who is a winner in same class and distance last season, has shown some improvement in the second run this season,as same jockey is declared again there remains a ? On intent, seems like the dark Un in this race  Liquid Asset is making a reappearence this season, has been prominent in some races last season,on weights may give a scare  Noble Princes...

Bangalore 22/06/14

Its classic day today,Be Safe simply towers over its opponents and despite a miracle or ill-fate nothing can stop the Be Safe Juggernaut today! Best to watch this race and watch the champion win  RACE NO 1:#8 Walloper Win/place  RACE NO 2:#3 Supreme Fairy win  RACE NO 3:#9 Madame Sultana win  RACE NO 4:#9 Our Commander win  RACE NO 5:#2 Better Than Ever Win  RACE NO 6:#7 Vijay Viraaj place  RACE NO 7:#2 Cape Ferrat Win  RACE NO 8:#5 Bold Majesty win  RACE NO 9:#7 Isle of Fire win  Day's Best:Supreme Fairy  Double:Madame Sultana-Our Commander  Upsetter:Walloper

The Chief Justice's Cup

Due to unavoidable circumstances cannot do a full analysis of tomorrow's card, the main event however has caught my eye as there are a lot of good horses running in the race  Amazing Grace who is sure to revel at longer trips now faces older horses, despite receiving weight from em all she has to be a very good filly to win this,as she is a favourite as per night odds she doesn't represent much value  Two horses in Machiavellianism and Agostini are coming out of the same race 2 weeks back, the former was a bit unlucky to lose and now again can be expected to run a good race. The distance of 200 mts extra and the weight may act against it nevertheless he is the horse to be beaten here. Agostini on the otherhand ran a decent third last time out, guess this horse may want more ground and as such winning is slightly out of the question in my opinion  Then there is Jeremiah who needs to find more form to win this and also Snowdrift who ran a good second to Supreme Star at Mumbai a...

Maisha triumphs !!!

The first classic of the season produced an exciting race as expected. The race however started with its share of controversy as Fortaleza jumped out without the rider, later after the race was over the stewards called for an enquiry and decided to declare the said horse as a non-starter  West side Story and Alameda took the field into the homestretch and duly retired after setting a good pace for the mile,it was now that both Alexandra Mills and Maisha made their moves, Maisha shot into the lead in a matter of seconds and quickened well inside the last furlong and thereby showing a clean pair of heels to her opponents. Alexandra Mills finished second with God Speed the closing favourite finished third just ahead of Culebra . The ante-post favourite Tiger Tops did not finish in the top 6.  The winner did have tall formlines while coming into this race and she lived upto my expectations and not to forget the jockey gave her a wonderful ride especially taking advantage of the dra...

The Bangalore Fillies Championship Stakes Day 15/6/14 analysis and selections

Hello friends,                       A card of 8 races has been framed for the first classic day of this season, here is my analysis and personal fancies for the day  RACE NO 1:For 3 yo maidens only over 1200 mts FAST LADY  which has had two runs at Mumbai is now running for the first time at Bangalore, tracking well and on its past performances plus the jockey switch, looks like the horse to be beaten here  JINGLE BELLS  however is a local hopeful, has strong credentials to put up a notable performance here as he has the form from the winter season plus local champion on the saddle  Then there are two debutants in  Millrose  who is from a stable which is red-hot this season,is tracking well and don't be surprised if he wins and then there is  VIJAY VAIBHAV  in this race who is out of  Teofilo ,this got abroad gelding may have an edge over others especially looking at its sireline...

Bangalore 08/06/14 Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends,                        It was a bizzare Saturday afternoon as the Bangalore Summer Meeting proved its competitive nature by throwing out some lucrative winners of which none was my choice, then after the races witnessed the live webcast of the  Epsom Derby  which was won in taking style by  Australia .  A CARD OF 8 AWAITS US TOMORROW WITH THE GR 2 KARNATAKA MILE CHAMPIONSHIP AS THE FEATURE OF THE DAY  RACE NO 1:A CLASS IV RACE OVER 1200 mts  Major Attraction  won his first start this season very well indeed and is now retained in the same class, tracking well and sees a switch in jockey to  Imran Khan  who is coming back after a layoff, now will the weights take a toll on him is the ?  The other 3 yo in this race in  Zulu Fantasy  is coming off a 3rd place over 1100 mts in its last start, now that it enjoys a non-winner handicap and is receiving weights from...

Bangalore 06/06/14 Analysis and personal fancies for the day

Hello Friends,                      It's been a good start to the weekend as I saw The Investic Epsom Oaks Gr.1 on the Rwitc webcast and it was a great win for the Taghrooda who's the first crop daughter of Equine Superstar SEA THE STARS , with that memory behind me I have started to do my little bit of analysing the card for the Bangalore races and Asusual giving my own preferences. The card is a 7 race affair and here is my analysis  RACE NO 1:For 3yo maidens only over 1100 mts The universal fancy for this race would be Blitzschnelle  who will have a price that would obviously be too low for comfort, the positives are a benifit of a run this season and the distance suitability and the negative in my opinion is the jockey on board,a switch from Imran Chisty who has been in some good touch oflate  The stable also has Sagrada in the fray, who has decent form to go by in this race, the shoes are negative  Orca from th...
