The Bangalore Colts Championship Day 21/06/15 Analysis and Selections

Hello Friends,
The Bangalore Colts Championship stakes is the feature amongst a eight race card on sunday, here is my analysis and personal fancies

Race 1:A class V(4yo+)  race over 1400m

Scorching who has a jockey who is fresh and have ht the board a few times in the last two weeks and being the top rated in horse in the fray is now of the major players in this race, last track spurt is good too,the stable also has Above and Beyond who gets a massive switch in jockey from Zervan to a claimer in this race and is a decent outsider

Power and Strength and Celestial Storm both are having good saddle support, the former ran second in its last run and with that benefit of the run and retaining the same jockey will hope to go one better,Celestial Storm who is from a stable which is doing quite well this season also has a run benefit and being a winner over the same trip and a decent last track spurt is another strong contender in this race

Among others Victory Girl.Animal Instincts and Bolts Colt are the ones that look like having some form here,Animal Instincts looks like the eminent threat if any in this race, trainer is looking for his first winner this season,it has a small handicap chance if one by its last run

Asusual the opener of the day that too a class V affair is open and my choice is Celestial Storm who may continue the good run for the trainer this season

My Choice:#2 Celestial Storm Win

Race 2:For 3yo maidens over 1200m

Jigsaw who made its debut earlier on in the season should improve upon that effort and is one of the top contenders in this race,Groovy Moves is another horse that comes into this race with good preparation, although it has not run this season it has a very good formline to go with

Zubaida and Vijays Delight are the two debutants by virtue of their preparations and also by having decent jockeys aboard catch the eye,the former may well break the duck for the trainer

I feel Groovy Moves who is subject to some good preparation should be the one to look out for and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#5 Groovy Moves Win

Race 3:A class IV race over 1400m

Castle King who is a good decent maiden class winner earlier in the season is now stepping up in trip in class IV,it has a claimer aboard who has done well with his first mount yesterday and as such cannot be ignored

Although there are other youngsters in the fray it is the presence of Fresh Start, who held on for a long due win in its last start and going again over 1400 in the same class,Soviet Union who has some good runs in the higher class and is now demoting itself and is a good outsider in the fray and Precious Glitter who is subject to some good preparation on the trial tracks and having a good jockey in the saddle appeal the most and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#8 Precious Glitter Win

Race 4:A class IV race (5yo+) over 1200m

Better Than Ever who has won twice in its career and both times with the same jockey riding as today is one of the strong contenders in the fray along with Manta Ray who had a very good run last time out and with the change in jockey will be one of the most interesting contenders in this race

Force Ensign who is coming into this with a win in the same class over the 7f trip and with some good preparation on its back is surely on track for a good show, the only doubt if any would be the drop down in trip albeit just a furlong may have a say in the race

although Placervilles Glory who is coming out of a long lay-off possibly due to setbacks may need this run don't be surprised if he pulls off here, the other danger in the fray being Blue Legend

There is one very interesting contender in Ace Mesmerise who has been prepared quite well after his last run in this track, has good winter form to go by and as such shapes as the chance horse in this set and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#9 Ace Mesmerise Win

Race 5:The Colts Championship Stakes (Gr.1) over 1600m

Authorotarian who has a very good formline to go by (has beaten the subsequent Fillies Championship winner Eternal Flame) at winter and being a got abroad has decent credentials coming into this race, being piloted by ace jockey Suraj Narredu this horse on formlines looks too good, however being its first real race this season theres a small IF to its chances

Phoenix Tiger who was supposed to run in the PBMM had a bad ride last time out and the conncetions bringing the Irish jockey Colm O Donoghue to take the ride is in itself an indication of how highly they think of their chances

Multitude who actually ran the PBMM as the favourite had a good win in a class II field over 1200m and having the young Yash Narredu in the saddle and out of a champion sire Multidimensional the chances are bright

Auriga and Desert God have both run behind the horse Admirality who was expected to be amongst the top contenders in this race also come into contention,Desert God who now has a switch in jockey was earlier taken to Mumbai for the colts championship there and was withdrawn at the gates and with a run benefit here and a stellar pedigree especially on the Dam's side is a live threat to all here

Southern Surprise and Valiant Spirit are at best outsiders in what looks like a closely contested affair for supremacy

My Choice:#6 Desert God Win/Place

Race 6:For maiden 3yo over 1200m

El Fenix who is out of a sire known for throwing speedy runner is subject to good preparation is one of the strong contenders in the fray

The mumbai based Mister Majestic who had a run benefit earlier in the season also has very good formline to go by and as such is the top contender in this race

Alexandrite who had a run benefit very early in the season has been since given good preparation, this horse which is bound for a second lifetime improvement coupled with a switch to an ace jockey appeals the most in this race and is my personal fancy

My Choice:#7 Alexandrite Win

Race 7:A race for class II horses over 1400m

Del Santo who was asked to do all the donkey work for its illustrious stablemate last time out was pulled up after doing its job,now with a change in saddle support and down in class has a good chance to score at low weights and another challenger in Speed Hawk who subsequently has a decent jockey on board and has a fair chance to pull it off here

Booker Jones has been running some good races but with a claimer and dropping down in distance without any track work is a cause of concern

There are some very good older horses in the fray and amongst them there is Valerian who is having quite a career with in and out runnings, here it is piloted by P S Chouhan and having finished second over this trip before with the same jockey and having a run benefit earlier in the season this horse shapes as the possible outsider in the fray

My Choice:#10 Del Santo Win

Race 8:Class IV race(5yo+) over 1200m

Hackett who gets a switch in saddle support will be looking to take advantage of that fact and score here in the final race of the day, although it has won in the higher class albeit more than an year ago the change in jockey and the relative opposition in itself is an indication

The contenders in the fray are Viva Diva,Cherry Hinton and Ace Shineon according to me stand better chances here amongst the rest, the last named horse is a live contender

My Choice:#1 Hackett Win

Days Best:Alexandrite

Good Bets:Groovy Moves,Precious Glitter

Have a good day,gamble responsibly
