Analysis and choices for Bangalore summer meeting Races on 01/08/2013

Hello Friends,

                     A card of 7 races have been framed for the day,here are my analysis and choices for the races

Race No 1:A class IV race over 1200 mts

After a victory during one of its starts this season Rise To Glory,this horse has ran two races and finished nowhere on the board,now gets a change in jockey to B.Nayak. 

Manta Ray which has run in 3 yo maiden races,now runs in open Class IV company,with a claimer to handle this horse. 

Red Admiral,after starting four times this season and finishing behind more than five lengths behind the winner in all its starts,last time out it ran 8 lts behind Rumour Has It,now gets a positive switch in jockey to Suraj Narredu

Smilestone,which showed marked improvement during its last start where it finished fourth (3.5 lts) behind the winner,now runs again with the same jockey

One of a kind is another horse which fared well in its last start by finished fourth behind the winner (3.5 lengths) will be now partnered by the same jockey as in its last start A.Ashok Kumar

Cheddar Face which finished 5th behind the winner in its last start (2.5 lengths),now tries its luck in class IV with a change in jockey to Imran Chisty 

This race looks quite open as there are 3-4 decent contenders in the fray,Red Admiral which gets a positive switch in jockey after its four runs this season,thus I feel there is a positive intent.Smilestone after showing marked improvement in its last run is my top contender here as its fourth over a slightly shorter trip and with a step up in distance may be quite good for its chances.Also Cheddar Face with a decent show in the lower class gets a switch in jockey to Imran Chisty in the same distance has the credentials too.One of a kind which has a similar pattern as Smilestone cannot be ruled out too. 

My vote here goes to Smilestone as its run last week is very suggestive and should put up a good performance here 

My choice:#4 Smilestone for Win

Race no 2:A class IV race over 1200 mts

This race has 9 3yo horses taking upon each other.the three previous winners in Ace Mesmeriser Royal Salute and Golden princess carry the top weights here,the first and last named are last start winners. 

Of the other horses Zenica and Sue Nevell are the ones which look promising here 

Ace Mesmeriser which won on its last start on the derby day is the horse to beat here,with P.S.Chouhan the same rider who rode this horse when it won adds to its chances

But my choice here is Sue Nevell which ran a close third to Rock with u in its last start gets a switch in jockey to Trevor Patel,it just lost that race by 3/4 lts and is recieving weight from all the possible contenders here thus has a good chance to score 

My choice:#6 Sue Nevell for win 

Race no 3:A class IV race over 1200 mts 

On the outset there are only two contenders as far as I am concerned in this race,Kafka and Strombolite 

Strombolite,which won its last race in the hands of SuraJ Natredu now gets a change in rider to Anjar Alam,it has been a very consistent horse as its form line reads (2 2 1) 

Kafka on the otherhand after its win on debut ran a bad race over 1400 mts in its next start,now with the drop in distance and a change in jockey to the one who partnered it on debut P.S.Chouhan chances look rosy here 

One very interesting part here is that these two horses have net earlier where Strombolite lost the race at the wire to Kafka over 1100 mts,although Strombolite which is better placed on scales here thanks to the claimer on board the manner in which Kafka won that race gives it an edge over this distance 

My choice:#1 Kafka for win 

Race no 4:A class II race over 1200 mts 

Brabus Speed which shocked the field when it won on its last start in the same class ran in class I and finished way behind the winner,now it runs in the class where it won and with the same jockey Kiran Eai who was abroad when it won.now runs with a ten point penalty when compared to its last win 

Thoughts and Actions which finished third behind Equine Lover on the derby day,now drops in distance and gets a change in jockey to S.John 

Catamaran which has run some game races from the last part of the winter season extending into this season as well,will be partnered by A.Alam who had partnered this horses in its last two outings as well

Hillsboro which ran second to Realsteel last time out now runs again with the same jockey aboard in Suraj Narredu,looks like a top contender here 

Nickel Chrome which ran fifth behind Real steel in its last start was earlier third to Esteban,had matched strides with good sprinters in winter season,on its day can topple em all,goes out with the same rider as its last start P.S.Chouhan 

Mountain high which is in some form thanks to its back to back wins in its last two starts,now gets a change in jockey to G.Adarsh,in this set repeating again looks a bit difficult 

Rich Celebration has been a very consistent horse and no doubt about it,has a decent season and is well placed on scales here,ran 1 1/4 lengths behind the winner in its last start and with a change in rider to Imran Chisty chances look good 

This race on paper looks very close,I am going with rich celebration here as its placed better on scales over here and add to it a change in jockey to guide its fortunes.Nickel chrome is the one that can run a good race as well

My choice:#9 Rich Celebration for win

Race no 5:A class III race (5yo+) over 1400 mts 

Cool approach after its fourth over the same trip gets a change in jockey to Imran Khan,has a good winter form,can run a good race here

Hillstone which ran second in its last start behind Flying tricolour runs with the same jockey 

Lucky Sam which won on its last run and got penalised by 14 points now runs with a step up in distance and the same jockey as in its last run Vivek astride. 

Scenic blast which ran second to Smitssonite during its last run,now steps up in distance and gets the same ridden in S.John,its last run was forward. 

Mark of genius which ran second its last start now gets a switch in jockey to P.S.Chouhan,it gets a step up in distance 

Strive and serve which won 5 days ago in the same class and same distance with the same jockey has been pitched in by its trainer again,can it repeat after a penalty of 12 pints is the ? 

In my opinion this race on paper is also closely matched,Scenic Blast's second to smithsonite was a good effort and can't be neglected,Lucky Sam which is a previous winner in itself is showing out good on tracks but Mark of genius which gets a switch in jockey from its last run gets my vote here as it is placed good in scales when compared with others 

My choice:#7 Mark of genius For Win 

Race no 6:A class III race over 1200 mts (4yo+) 

Wind of soul after its win and fourth behind Divine deliverance this season,has a change in jockey to Shabuddin. 

Wind wonder which won its only start in a resolute manner has been penalised 20 points for that effort and gets the same jockey in Suraj Narredu to guide its fortunes

Bank on me which after its win is penalised 12 points and goes out with the same jockey,may upset here 

This race also has Sweet secret superb speed and Indian who can topple if the horses in form fail to put their best foot forward 

Wind wonder which won on debut in class IV in a very good manner on its debut is my fancy here 

My choice:#10 Wind wonder for win 

Race no 7:A class III race over 1400 mts for class III horses (5yo+) 

Bala's glory which ran third in its last start to Next Move over a shorter trip now gets a change in jockey to Sreekant,has a good chance in this distance 

Super surprise which ran a dismal race last time out ran very close to the winner in its last but one start,with a change in jockey to P.S.Chouhan chances look positive here 

MI Amor which also has a similar pattern as Super surprise gets a claimer on top and thus is placed better on scales 

Neron after its three runs this season gets a top jockey to guide its fortunes,had finished 3/4 lts behind the winner in its last but one start over the same trip

Veyron which ran a good 3 lts behind the winner 6th in its last start at January runs for the first time this season,may upset 

Mountain Beauty which ran fourth in its last start to lucky Sam now gets a switch in jockey to Suraj Narredu,distance may be a bit too long as its record suggests that it has done well over 1200 mts 

Too cold to hold after its fourth to Nabisco is running in its age restricted class,is a top contender here with Irvan Singh on the saddle. 

Thus again a closely matched race here and Neron which likes this distance and in its last run in this distance ran very close to the winner and with a change in jockey to Imran Chisty chances look good here

My choice:#5 Neron for win

Double:Rich celebration - wind wonder 

Upset:Sue Nevell
