Bangalore 01/06/14 (Analysis and Selections)

Hello Friends,
Carlton proved me and many other backers wrong and it was a scintillating run by Arrogant Approach to win the Speaker's Cup today ! This card has 9 races with the Gr.III Chief Minister's Cup as the feature of the day. Here is my analysis along with personal fancies for the day.

RACE NO 1:A class V race (5yo+) over 1200 mts

The winner should most probably be from the trio of Sayonne,Encourager and Magnonimous

Sayonne-has a positive switch in jockey and also equipment (shoes) also finished a decent fourth in its last run and is the horse to be beaten here

Encourager-is a winner over 1400 in its last start, retains the same jockey and is now running with the winner penalty, can it defy it and put another winning gallop is yet to be seen,as far as trackwork is concerned he is tracking well with a class II animal and on that count can hope to repeat here

Magnonimous however is also tracking well with an upper class animal, and is now seen sitting pretty at the bottom of the scales and with a decent jockey aboard, however the deterant if any is the long abscence from active racing.

Of the three horses,Sayonne seems like the one that has the edge here with two positives going for it,however the tracks when compared to the other two are not good, worth a decent chance bet in the opener of the day

My Choice:#3 Sayonne for Win

RACE NO 2:A class IV race over 1200 mts

Honeymoon is the horse that should win here, comes from the leading yard in the country, won its maiden well and is now entrusted to the stables first jockey, should not have any problem in this set.Odds will be too low is my guess and better to watch Honeymoon go past the post

My Choice:#3 Honeymoon for Win

RACE NO 3:A maiden race over 1400 mts for 3 yo only

A classic maiden contest between the gotabroads Supreme Dominator,Candice,You're Ashwashakti and Remembrance of you

Guess it is a straight contest between Supreme Dominator and Remembrance of You

They have both locked horns earlier and the for had the better share of the spoils last time around, this time with both the horses opting for blinkers and so on,can expect the contest to be a close affair now. Can Remembrance Of You get the better of Supreme Dominator ?

Yes,She seems to be improving as is evident by the trackworks and going by that I guess she will give a good fight to the former and is most certainity should win here

MY CHOICE:#10 Remembrance Of You win

RACE NO 4:A class V race over 1200 mts (5yo+)

Isle of Fire gets positive equipment and is a live contender in this race,so is You're Gorgeous whose last gate practice is one to note

However this race should be in my opinion be won by either Tic Tac Toe or Delilah. The former has won last season and with respect to its last run gets a decent jockey aboard, whereas Delilah is now dropping down in grade and in the scales too,Positive shoes too, just hope the claimer gives it a good ride here, has a good chance to score

My Choice:#4 Delilah for Win

Race no 5:A class IV race over 1400 mts (5yo+)

Fioritta-is a horse which has been fancied very much last season and failed, now at bottom weights and up in class with decent trackwork deserves another chance, yet past performances make me feel otherwise

Blizzard Of Oz is a lower class winner now retaining the same jockey, extended distance and should run a good race, can he win easily here ? No

The two runners of S.Narredu along with Cool Hand hold an edge over the others in this race,of the three Deep Blue Sea has been pretty consistent and now gets a negative switch in saddle support,Cool Hand is working pretty well but again jockey declared creates lil amount of doubt

Thus Mountain Splendour which has also been working well on the tracks, has the form and retaining the same jockey should run a bold race here and is my fancy for this race

My Choice:#7 Mountain Splendour for Win

RACE NO 6:THE CHIEF MINISTER's CUP [Gr.3] over 1200 mts

Speed Six has been unlucky twice over this same trip during the sprinters cup in the last two meetings going down to Nefyn on both occasions,on that show he is the classy sprinter in this set and should be the horse to beat.

Shivalik Star which also ran the Sprinter's Cup looks like the one who is active in tracks and can run him down !

Ancient Wonder and Light Of Success seem like the horses that can do well here based on their previous runs and preparation.

But last year Speed Six went down in the same event if my memory is good to Ancient Wonder,is not active in the tracks and is now being ridden by Ryan Marshall not the owner's first retainer! I still believe its worth taking a chance on him because

1)Ancient Wonder seems to have lost his condition and form and will have to dig in deep to beat Speed Six
2)Speed Six scores over all with his class factor and am relying upon that alone to carry him first to the finish line

My Choice:#1 Speed Six for win

RACE NO 7:A class III race over 1400 mts (4yo+)

Ayrton which won his maiden beating Racing Ahead hasn't won in a handicap race after that, yet his performances were decent and now he finds himself in the top of the scales in a class III race, the horse to be beaten here

Frankness and Cullinan are two other 4 yo's who can be termed as possibilities in this race, the form is in some very good form and the latter just found one horse too good in his last run and now may try to go one better

However Castle Stuart who also has two wins to his credit in the lower class ran in classic company on his last time out,and is showing out in the tracks

A very closely matched race this,my personal fancy however is Castle Stuart more due to instinct rather than conviction

My Choice:#8 Castle Stuart for win

RACE NO 8:A class II race over 1200 mts (4yo+)

EVRAZ who is the lone 4 yo in the field is sitting pretty in the bottom of the scales and is now taking a quantum jump down is class and distance,is the horse to be beaten in this race

With too many seasoned campaigners in Talksker,Frenemee Catamarn And Autumn Rush this race could spring a surprise however one horse Atleast on paper stands out amongst them all and that is Wind of Soul

His workouts in the tracks are simply outstanding and if he lives upto that with Suraj Narredu in the saddle,he should romp home in style

My Choice:#3 Wind Of Soul for win

RACE NO 9:A class IV race over 1200 mts

MOVIE MUGHAL may very well run as the short priced favourite in this race, after clearing his maiden ranks he was found wanting in both his next 2 runs, can win here but I'm seeking for value elsewhere

EVALINA won her debut well, gets Srinath in the saddle and is a live contender here so is Sairani whose win as a 2 yo was good and can be expected to put a decent show here

But the horse that can create a minor surprise here is Jersey Bride, the trainer has decided to lessen her burden with a claimer to guide her and she won her maiden pretty well too and can do well here

My Choice:#1 Jersey Bride for Win/Place

Day's Best:Wind Of Soul

Double:Delilah-Speed Six

Have a nice day,gamble responsibly

Today's Jp combination:Add/delete based on ur choices just for an idea
