Hello Friends,                         So Mumbai racing season has reached a stage where there is nothing much to look forward to with the majority of Black Type races in the burner and a few handicap races to keep the Interest going,my last post was more of a guide rather than a tipping thing which I used to do,On that note would try to do the same again with comments for every horse,followed by personal preferences. Race 1 Uncle Scrooge: Class V win to clear maidens followed by a class IV win,the trip is a big? as horse is cutting down a lot in trip,difficult. Hello Friends,                          Here are my views for day 2 of the invitation weekend which features the Big one  THE INDIAN TURF INVITATION CUP (GRADE I) Race 1: A race for 3yo maidens to open the day, Aaron The Baron/Cantabria/Minniver Rose/Queen Latifa/Sheer Magic being my shortlisted contenders, Queen Latifa had a decent debut and with that run under her belt should do well in the opener of the day. Hello Friends,                         It is a late post and i hope by the time i complete it it isnt too late to post,day 1 features THE Dr.MAM RAMASWAMY MEMORIAL STAYERS CUP and THE MYSORE RACE CLUB SPRINTERS CUP both Gr.1 races in what is akin to the Breeders cup in India..... Here are some thoughts about the feature and the undercard in what promises to be a day of some good racing Race 1: A class IV affair to start the day that too for the older horses, D'Accord is a failed fav at  bombay class 4 last time out and is the highest rated amongst the maiden horses in the fray and should be respected in the opener of the day. Hello Friends,                         Looking forward to the biggest race of the racing season all Winter it is the day of the Indian Derby,here are my views for the day Race 1: A race with dilemmic proportions for me to choose,we have in here three runners who run with a chance but it is anybody's race, Serinita ofcourse is the cynosure of all in here and the horse has a good record to match it up with then there is Shivalik Shine who has this habit of missing the break yet has a good flourish to make a race out of it despite the jockey change and then there is Undisputed who ha been on board twice this season and has a jockey who has a good partnership with this horse and this being a race over a sprint and hoping that there is good strong pace at the front Shivalik Shine may be the horse with a real chance given the race unfolds to its liking and is my personal fancy to open the day My Choice:#1 Shivalik Beauty Win ...

Hello Friends,                          The Pre Derby day card at Mumbai consistsof 8 races with the Kunigal Breeders Produce Stakes as the highlight of the day,here is my take about the card Race 1: A race for 3yo's which has a decent cash prize and is restricted to maidens,amongst the debutants it is the Shapoor Mistry owned Highland Woods that catch the eye. However in Lincoln,Sereno and Sweet Music we have three able contenders and amongst them it is Sweet Music that happens to be my primary choice as it was a fancied horse in a million earlier and may prove to be second time lucky and the other two if they show improvement can make it a damn race here My Choice:#7 Sweet Music Win  Race 2: A tricky race for horses in class IV over a mile. Hello Friends,                         Had some free time today amidst a busy January,so dived into the card and found it to be a good one,here is my view for the derby day.....  Race no 1-horse no 6 call me maybe,is my first pick for the first race of the day,amongst the maidens it has finished close up to the winner in recent times and today being a big day hoping for owners colors to be prominent. Ravishing snow showed some spark last start and should be in the contention for the prime spot today. Hello Friends,                          Got some breather of a time amongst a busy schedule and here are my readings of three races which I had time to study.... Magistero more so because the Dam's name rings a bell,still a maiden but rated 30 and last run was in the summer derby,so there is a step down in class,the one to beat would be watchmyscript who is a maiden class winner over the same trip Magical light has the 'class' factor going for it and hope that Cedric isn't another Neil Farley and Magical light doing pretty well over 1200m is my pick here Romantic Helen has services of suraj narredu ! Intent is a ? But on logic being the highest rated maiden stands a decent chance to close the day..... That's all,have a good day.

Hello Friends                         Late Post yet I thought something to blog on a sunday is better Reds Revenge- Is now being piloted by a better jockey compared to its past two runs,has age on its side and weights too must be an interesting contender in the opener of the day Captain courage - will be home and dry it is the horse at the bottom who is a threat if any.... Dear Friends,                          Again another day where time is an issue,no wonder TIME is considered as invaluable... Anyways here are my picks for some hand picked races... 1-1 Unico Corazon has weights and also age against it but in a race which may be dominated by those who could stay the trip,on account of its recent form gets my first vote, Striking Story needs some attention too as it has performed well in the upper class too and in this class is an imminent threat. 2-5 Niobrara looks well placed on promotion and has quite a chance to pull it off on first run after promotion,challenge if any may be from Harvey who I'm surprised has decided to run 1000m again and has chacne in view of its last race 3-5 Silver Beauty although appears to be a tad over penalised and going over a mile first time looks like having the form on its side and is my first pick if a good replacement for Yash is made, Saw Grass on...

Hello Friends,                          Due to paucity of time have analysed only a few races for the day and here are the picks for the day. 2-3 Severus has not gone the trip before and as i see it is the lone handicap in the second race off the day failing which the ownermate in Uncle Scrooge with the weights will be in the hunt 3-3 Riot of Clolors with an able apprentice is my fancy in this class V affair,incidentally its her handicap debut too and is a chance. 5-4 Eigers Tiger is a chancy chance against its vanquisher in Costa Smeralda and will be in the contention in what looks like an open race. 7-9 Dancing Phoenix has the weights the form and a favourable draw here and is my choice here, Adam who was unlucky last time out with Trevor is an obvious threat. 8-5 Normandy the got abroad appeals in the closing event of the day. Hello Friends,                         As today is a Holiday and have some free time to spare I have tried my bit on Hyderabad which is usually not my cuppa tea :) 1-2 Hard Fought is my first pick in the opener of the day,it has a change in shoes and will be having the services of a claimer who is 4/23 this season which isnt bad, Canberra who is out of Sedgefield and a proper jockey to guide is the one to be beaten. 2-3 Breeze of the south literally walked past its opponents in the last start and was winner of a Terms Million on debut and has good credentials to score an encore here with the same jockey repeating, Euro Zone and Charlie Brown are contenders for place. 3-7 Aston Doulton (W/P)  is a chancy choice in the third race of the day which ofcourse is filled with some decent runners, Fair and Square from the MAM camp is another horse that has caught my attention and is an interesting contender keep an eye. 4...

Hello Friends,                         Today's card is a tricky one and with a maiden million featuring in a day of 7 races here are my picks for the day 1-1 Flight of phoenix may fare better over this trip and is the sole horse with any semblance of form in this race,if odds are low academic interest at best. 2-4 Magnificence is a winner of handicap million last start giving weight to younger horses over a trip which I felt was sharp for it and with that kind of performance and now over a more suitable trip is my first pick on promotion,ofcourse there are two worthy adversaries in Bullrun  whom I fancied in class I and now running at class II and Shadowfax who has been quite a horse and should be respected. 3-1 Judicious is a choice for me on placement,a winner over 7f at Bombay while going pillar to post is facing a rather weak set and is in with a chance here, Gran Padriso the youngster can improve on second lif...

Hello Friends,                         A compact card has been framed for the day at Pune,here are my picks for the day. 1-7 Locarno is a horse that has had a good lung opener early in the season and is now placed pretty well to win over a trip which it did when it was a maiden, Zadora is the best horse on class but then there is more hope on Locarno for me and is my second pick in this race. 2-2 Staristocrat was a decent third on seasonal debut and was a course winner last year,now facing a company in which Ageless in class and FDM on weight are possible threats,looks a decent chance in the second of the day. 3-3 AnJolie after its last but one win took its sweet time to win again and after doing that is placed well on promotion and with the promising jockey with a good record this season is my first pick, Dramarama is a threat at these weights and keep an eye on it. 4-1 Silken Eyes one of the two maiden class winners...
